Lowe’s Air Duct Cleaning

Purchased this deal for air duct cleaning for a new house we moved in to. These guys were great, from scheduling the cleaning to arriving on time and doing a great job while being professional overall.

He came a bit later than first planned but had called ahead to let us know he was delayed. He knew exactly what to do after we showed him our two, heating units, clothes dryer, and duct work. He explained what he was doing along the way, as we were home all the time he was working (ca 3 hours). He cleaned up everywhere when done, changed air filters, and tidied up everywhere he worked on leaving. He was always courteous, considerate, and wanted to explain what he was doing, as he started each, individual step of the process. He explained the final billing, as the work was more than the original, Angie's List ad stipulated, for which we paid the extra $199 because of the second furnace and its duct work. There were no disagreements or misunderstandings on his arrival or departure.

Great. On time and very professional.

Guy was great. Younger dude showed up on time and didnt need any help. He explained what he was going to do before he started, checked everything out, took off all vents and gave them a quick vacuum. I wanted to make sure we have all the dust from the vents because we bought it last year and we are having our first child. Would use again in a few years, but it does not have to be something you do year after year. They have options on the kind of cleaning they can do, but I kept mine basic.

Joe arrived on time. Introduced himself and how he would proceed with his work. He was friendly, energetic and professional. He proceeded with his work quickly and thoroughly. The cleaning was comprehensive - overall excellent job.

Joe recovered all the spots he touched during duct cleaning process, spent more than two and a half hours. We would refer him to our friends who are interested in duct clean service.

Technician showed up on time, was courteous and friendly.

ok, I guess. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get a visual check of the vents like some other companies do by using a camera. Other than that, a very professional job.

Ducts at a recently purchased condo looked as if they had never been cleaned. Lowe's sent subcontractor, Joe Litavski, who did an amazing job. Arrived on time, explained all procedures and great to work with.

I ordered the deal from the Angieslist, but didn't pay attention to that coupon only apply for one unit. I was told that my house having 2 air units, so I did pay extra for that. Other than that, the service man is very professional and careful for what he is doing. The result looks good for me.

We hired Lowes through Angie's List $299. special to clean our ducts and chimney sweep. Apologizes for not remembering the technicians name. I called the night before ( after 5pm) to cancel due to a problem that arose but it was later corrected. He called the morning of scheduled appt. saying he got the message and it was ok to cancel and reschedule. I told him what had occurred so if possible I'd keep my appt. He agreed and drove to Westfield from Boston. Upon arrival he was polite, profession and with a smile showed me where he had to cut the metal in the basement. he He explained the job then I left him alone to work. He started upstairs and ended by doing the chimney. We've never had ducts cleaned so I had no idea what to look for but we have had a chimney sweep. He was here between 2-3 hrs and constantly worked. From lack of knowledge of air duct cleaning I'd say he did the job hired to do, although it seems he missed a couple. As far as the chimney, I didn't watch him but he had all tools out and seemed content working. He did leave the flue open but since we had so much wind this past weekend we noticed the sound and closed it. When he left he told me to change my vent the following day. I did and it was filthy. I guess that means a job well done as the filter was less than a year old. I have no complaints and trust it was done correctly.

I got this service through one of Angie's List deals and picked this company because of the A rating and that they would clean all ductwork and returns for one system. Other deals I saw limited ducts and returns. Company based in Virginia, but had an office in Boston suburbs. Service tech called ahead of time to say approx. time of arrival. Explained the service to me before beginning and then installed a vacuum hose into one of the ducts and started at the top floor, opening each heat vent and blowing with compressed air down to cellar ductwork. He carefully carried dusty vent units outside to clean them off before replacing them. I have 9 heating ducts in our system. This was the first time we tried this cleaning and we were very pleased with results.

Joe arrived within the time frame I was given. He was very professional and personable. We just moved into a house built in the 1940s and I am not sure if the vents had ever been cleaned. Joe cleaned all of the vents (9 in total). He even showed me some of the junk we would have been breathing in... gross! He sanitized the vents with some sort of chemical fogger to kill mold/microbial growth. He also recommended changing out our filter to a paper one to improve air quality. The whole job took about 2 hours, with him working alone. I have a history of asthma, and my husband and I both suffer from allergies. Now that the lungs of our home are clear, we both feel much happier and healthier. Things I knew from researching ahead of time: 1.) A hole will be cut in your air duct so they can clean it. They will leave the hole there for future cleaning but repair it with special tape and metal. 2.) Expect residual dust/debris to be blown out after the cleaning. Things I did not know, that I learned: 1.) The air compressor is LOUD! (FYI if you have pets or children) 2.) The vacuum is quite large, about the size of a large garbage container 3.) More people should get their HVAC systems cleaned Things I would still like to know: 1.) Why don't the techs wear protective breathing masks for the dust or gloves when manually extracting dirt? 2.) What chemicals are used in the sanitation fog?

Michael Caballero was our technician. He was very professional and patient, especially with my infant child in the house. He took photographs of the inside of many of the air ducts so that we could see just how much of a difference the cleaning had made. I wish that he had told us ahead of time that he was planning on turning off the heat (although, in retrospect, I guess I should have realized that). It does make a difference in the middle of December, though. Also, they had to cut a hole in the furnace to clean the inside and I wish he had at least let me know before he did that. That was an unexpected surprise when he walked us down to talk us through what he did. Generally, I was glad that we did it, though.

Came on time, kept the house clean and did a professional job. Very Happy

Lowe's Air duct cleaning cleaned the air ducts in my house in 2012. I am very pleased with their company, my experience was great and I am so happy that the reopened their locations in Boston area. Will use them again in near future.

We signed up for the Lowe's "Big Deal". Scheduling the appointment was easy, and as agreed, the crew called in advance and showed up as scheduled. Joe and Nick were very professional, and used care to remove shoes when entering the house, and were very careful when bringing in the equipment. They took photos before and after cleaning, and answered all questions completely. They even made recommendations about how we should treat the system after the service was completed. Could not be happier with the service, and will definitely use Lowes again.
