Great -- Nate is very responsive and the painter on the job was great his quality was very good, he mixed a custom stain color and was very detailed in his work as well as clean and thorough. The painter was the best part of the remodel process. Nate Hamel the owner call every night to see if I was satisfied and how the project was going. The experience was very good that I have already booked them for additional projects. The rest of the remodel project has been a nightmare but Nate and his guys have been flexible and responsive.

We especially appreciated Nate's responsiveness to our concerns and his thoughtfulness about how to address and treat the particular conditions in the basement.

Highly professional, efficient, excellent results and a good price given the quality. You can specify various "levels" of preparation (I selected the second from the top and was not disappointed).

The service was excellent overall. Nate was responsive to my calls and emails. The two painters who came were polite, professional, and neat. I am very happy with the job they did and will use this company again for other paint jobs.

The experience was excellent. In fact, I am now getting ready to paint the exterior and I've called Nate for another estimate. He was extremely accommodating, did a good job, and cleaned up after himself. He completed the job well within the deadline.

Hamel Painters is superb. From my very first interaction with Nate, the owner, to the last they were extremely professional, reliable, and did fantastic work. I had Don on the job, and he was incredible. Not only was he very neat (there was literally not a drop of paint on any surface other than the walls), but he typically finished each room in one day and put all the furniture back in its place and vacuumed so that there was no trace of any paintwork in the room. They were also very sensitive to the fact that I am pregnant and made sure that the windows were open throughout the day in order to reduce the paint fumes. But most importantly, their work is flawless. My cousin, who is a decorator in LA and has done work for some celebrities, said that Hamel Painters did some of the best work she's seen. I highly recommend Hamel and will absolutely be using them again.

The project went extremely well, and I'm very happy with the results. Nate provided a detailed quote, itemizing all the various elements of the job, and the final invoice was consistent with the quote - no surprises about pricing. He was also easy to reach during the planning phase and very flexible when it looked like some last minute changes in my schedule would affect what I'd asked him to do. The work was executed extremely well. I used very strong, vibrant colors on the walls and white on the trim and ceiling, so the edges around the ceiling and the trim really would show any imperfections, but everything looks very clean and sharp. The crew were considerate and careful about my house and possessions while working; I had just had my floors refinished when they began work and they covered them very carefully to be sure they weren't damaged during the work. All in all, they were a pleasure to deal with. I went back and forth on my score for price; I think their pricing is a little higher than some other contractors, but they do very high-quality work, and I feel like I received value consistent with what I paid.

I give my highest recommendation to Hamel Painters- this company is the best! My house is 100 years old and this was not an easy job....but the results were AMAZING and I keep getting compliments from the neighbors of how good the house looks now. The president of the company (Nate) responded quickly to all my calls/emails (and trust me, I can be quite picky). He explained the quote in detail and gave excellent suggestions for options to stay within my budget. The crew was always on time, polite & professional. As it turns out, the railings has at least 6 coats of paint on it before....the painters were detail-oriented and did such a wonderful job. They protected my plants and sidewalks and cleaned up everyday before they left. The completed job was finished EXACTLY on time and the finished price was the same as the original quote (no hidden surprises like other companies will do). If you are looking to hire a painter, you have to use Hamel Painters- I am so impressed with their work and would DEFINATELY hire them again for any of my future painting needs.

Again, an excellent experience with this company. Hamel Painters performed the work on about 2 weeks notice. I've used them on several projects and my experience with this one was no different than the rest. Because this was such a large project there were many different completion deadlines involved. The master suite was completed first and on schedule. This was followed by the remaining upstairs bedrooms, halls, foyar, downstairs and finally the basement. The crews showed up on time and worked long hours and holidays (they worked on labor day) to meet each completion deadline without missing one. Nate left the country for about a week to go on vacation during the project, but everything continued smoothly in his absence. There was a small punch list at the end of the project, but that is to be expected on any project of this size and detail.

Nate and his crew were fantastic. They kept to schedule even when the carpet installer could not. they came back an additional time to touch up after carpet installer and didn't even charge extra. I would highly recommend them.

work was scheduled to be done in 2 days, but took 4 days because ceilings were in much worse condition than nate thought initially. the crew was professional and tried to keep the dust from covering the entire house. they taped plastic over every doorway and put tarps down everywhere. they also tried to clean up all the dust that flew throughout the house; it was not a clean job but through no fault of theirs. nate wasn't the lowest estimate we got (his was $400 more than our lowest quote), but we trusted him and knew he would work to ensure his crew did a great job and left as little of a mess as possible. the ceilings look fantastic and the walls are perfect. you definitely get what you pay for.

A truly excellent experience. The five star level of professionalism, expertise and courtesy positions Hamel Painters in a category unto itself. The cost estimate was right on, the value of the work compared to the price was exactly what I paid for, I scheduled the work one week in advance and the schedule was met without a hitch, I found Hamel Painters through Angie's List website.

They painted our kitchen, we hated the color, they came back the next day and painted it again.

Nate from Hamel met me to pick up the keys and they did the job in two days. The work was done very professionally and completed before I expected. The quality of the finished product was exceptional and even though they used more paint than they originally expected there was no additional charge or fees. They stood by their quote and finished the job ahead of schedule. They made an effort to meet me based upon the time I had available in my schedule. They worked over the 4th of July weekend just to get the job done on time and there was no extra cost for the weekend/holiday work. I do not hesitate to recommend Hamel to anyone looking for home painting.

VERY GOOD Experience with this company. From the estimate appointment to the final completion Hamel Painters was on time and proffesional. All the work was explained in detail to me and when there were any problems or changes they were brought to my attention immediately. We got an excellent value!

Nate Hamel, the president, kept in good contact with us. The finish was very good. They painted the trim surface white and the sides of the trim the color of the sheathing. This was a surprise to me, but it looked very good. One of the workmen broke part of a ladder of mine. I settled this amicably with Nate.

It went very well. They did a good job and the surfaces look excellent. They also filled little discrepancies and gaps with filler. The ceilings and walls look very good. They used paint with very low VOCs, i.e. volatile hydrocarbons, so there was little smell from the paint. One of the primers did smell though. We also found that the bedroom paint was of a color slightly different from our original intention. There was a change of brand to achieve the low volatility and the color of the new brand, Sherwin Williams, was slightly different from our expectation based on the color of the Benjamin Moore. Nate offered to repaint the bedroom at no charge to us, but we felt the difference was so slight that we declined his generous offer.

He did a great job. We had a limited work window, and Nate and his crew where on time, did a fantastic job, and cleaned up after themselves. This is one contractor who was honest, reliable and conscientious!

I originally hired Hamel Painters to paint the kitchen in my apartment, but by the end of the project they nearly repainted every room. Nate was a very patient individual and addressed all my concerns as the project progressed. He was constantly checking in on the project and was easy to get a hold of even late at night when I expected to leave messages. His painters did a terrific job. They even rearranged the furniture for me in a couple of rooms when they were putting the room back together after painting. Overall my expectations were exceeded and the place looks better than I imagined.

Super job. Nate (owner) was very communicative and responsive. Work crew was pleasant, hardworking and prompt. Would recommend his work to anyone. Would certainly use this crew again. Unless something changes, you can't go wrong.

Hamel Painters were great. I met with the founder of the company and company rep to discuss my job, and he was prompt, polite, and thorough. He gave me a decent estimate and good references (my neighbor hired him to paint his house). My neighbor also had good things to say about Hamel Painters. The estimate was reasonable, so I hired them. Their paint crew took painting very seriously and did a good job. They were finished very close to when they said they would be, and the porch looks great. I am satisfied with the work and they were great to deal with.
