Description of Work: Technician came in the blizzard and spent over 3 hours servicing my computer. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. explained everything to me and made sure I understood before leaving. Highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: Transferred info/programs from our old computer into our new one.

Description of Work: I called and left a message on the company line, trying to make an appointment. The outgoing message says "only call once", so I left my name and number. So after waiting for a month, i did call back. From that point on, the experience was very good. The computer issue I had was a very basic easy fix, but no one else diagnosed it properly. The technician was clean, well dressed, polite and knowledgeable.

Description of Work: I contacted Geek Choice because my computer was running slow and showing disk full error message. The computer belonged to my late husband and was used by him for his consulting work-very technical engineering stuff! It was a souped up computer. I was using it for email skype and pictures, with the occasional prowl on the internet. I called Geek Choice and was given an immediate appointment. Michael Holmes was the person who arrived and sorted through my mess. He was cheerful, very informative, answered my questions while diagnosing the problems on my computer. He carefully listened to what I described as my needs and took everything apart to decide what needed fixing. Turns out I needed a part which was ordered and required him to make another visit. He came back to install the part and get everything running. An "oh by the way" from me requesting help to scan a document with my new, all-in-one printer triggered a whole new set of problems and no doubt threw his schedule into chaos. He told me what was wrong, gave me a couple of choices in how to proceed and when I opted for the more permanent solution, told me what to buy at best Buy. This was Wed. he told me he would return on Sat. to install it. However, that night it became apparent we would be hit by a blizzard on Sat., so he called to reschedule for the next day, so I would not be stranded over the weekend. My computer is fixed and running perfectly, my experience with Geek Choice was so positive that I almost look forward to the next time I need help. I know they'll be there. I not only got my computer fixed, I got my questions answered and received a ton of helpful advice. This was not my experience with another "Geek" company. I recommend these people without hesitation and will use them again as I need to. Thank you, Michael!

Description of Work: "cleaned up" some sites, updated, eliminated some catagories out dated or not using. Did a general overall of what I requested.

Description of Work: Tried to troubleshoot an old, problematic desktop. He didn't really fix anything, but he did what he could, was honest in his assessment, and seemed quite knowledgeable. This desktop just needs to be replaced.

Description of Work: Tech was not very knowledgable. We decided after 1.5 hrs, to terminate service.

Description of Work: What I particularly liked was I was given a personal cell phone number to call for follow up if I had another question.

Description of Work: Visit not worth seventy-five dollars. He restored some programs I had lost but didn't spend much time showing me how to do it myself He was kind, friendly and polite but not what I thought was all that helpful.
