Description of Work: Workers arrived on time as scheduled and were competent and careful, concerned with preventing damage to our bushes nest to the house as well as installing gutters efficiently. They cleaned up all debris and finished the job quickly The person overseeing the job was professional as well as pleasant. Overall very pleased with the job.

Description of Work: They were pretty fantastic. | |After some confusion on the timing from both of our sides, Brett and co were able to clear up my gutters with no issues, and then were extremely patient as I found a check to send their way. Overall, I am very pleased.

Description of Work: Duffy Roofing was quite responsive and sent someone out to look at my situation. I liked their representative's depth of knowledge and helpful attitude, and I would have accepted their bid, had it not been significantly higher than the outfit I went with. I would ask them to estimate again if I had a future project.

Description of Work: Called , came out right away after calling about gutter repair job as I have a cracked downspout. Initially I was shocked to see such a young "kid", but it became apparent very quickly that he was quite knowledgeable and knew what he was talking about. Pointed out all sorts of things previous company had done wrong: improper goosenecks, improperly sloped gutters, downspouts over windows, extra elbows and other things that all inhibit the water flow from the building. Recommended replacing most of the system. Gave me his opinion on gutter guards and explained how they would stage the job for such a high house. Sent an estimate that same day, a few hours later. Not sure that I can afford it but good to know what needs to be done and what kind of budget I will need.

Description of Work: They came out and walked the job with me & were very clear in how to address the various areas (roof & gutters) In the end the price was more than I could spend, but I felt like they would have been worth every penny.

Description of Work: Contacted Duffy for an estimate to repair a roof leak. For the first appointment, they did not show up and did not return a phone call. I checked Angie's List reviews and saw that there was an employee death, so recontacted them. The second time, came out and provided an estimate. The estimate is higher than other quotes we have received. Probably will not use them.

Description of Work: I contacted Duffy roofing about some repair work I needed on my roof. I first spoke to Mr. Duffy. Much of the phone call was spent by him trying to pull out of me who I had already talked to and the quotes I had received. We did make an appointment for him to come out saturday morning to give me an estimate. On Saturday I received a phone call that he would need to cancel because of a family event but he would call again to reschedule. i did not receive a call. A couple of days later I came home and saw a business card from Mr. Buswell, from Duffy roofing slipped under my door. A couple of days later Mr. Buswell called me to discuss the work - he had come by to look at my house. i went over it with him - he also tried to get me to reveal who I had talked to already - and he promised to send me a quote. I did not receive any quote. A few days later i sent him an email reminding me to send me a quote - I have not received any response.

Description of Work: They were excellent in responding to my request for an estimate. While the work was costly, I believe that it was well worth the price. The work crew was polite, professional, and quick. Would highly recommend for quality roof work.

Description of Work: We have used Duffy's twice for our asphalt roof. Once was a year ago, when we had a large porch roof redone. The second time was late this fall when we had the main house roof done. We have no complaints are are pleased with the results. They were prompt in getting back to us whenever we would call, and their work was completed quickly and non-intrusively. We were especially pleased with how clean the whole process was. No nails, dirt, shingle bits or anything on the ground. It looks like nobody was ever here.

Description of Work: The company,within two days of my phone call, sent a representative (Phil) to examine and assess the current condition of my roof (a slate roof that was approximately 100 years old). Phil was very knowledgeable, and very professional, in providing me with various alternative approaches to addressing immediate problems and near future issues - there was definitely no 'hard sell' sales approach. I decided that the best long term solution was to replace the roof & the gutters, and the entire work was successfully completed in two days(the neighbors, as well as myself, was duly impressed). For my money,if you are considering roof/gutter repair/replacement, you'd be wise to contact Phil at Duffy Roofing.

Description of Work: Joe Duffy came to our three-tenement condo for an estimate on repairing some holes in our flat rubber roof. He is a great guy, showed us the problem, said he could fix everything for about $1,000+ or we could fix it ourselves for a few hundred dollars. He told us what we'd need to do and purchase in order to do it ourselves. We decided to do it on our own, but he was so kind to come out for an estimate and share his expertise that I felt other Angie's List members should know this guy and his business struck me as very high-quality and I would call him in a heartbeat with any roofing concerns.

Description of Work: We had a leak in our roof. Phil returned my call and came to the house that day. We were pleased with the work that was done shortly thereafter. We were most satisfied with the assessment of what was wrong, how the rest of the roof looks for now, and what we will need to do within the next 4-5 years. We appreciated the honest assessment and not feeling pressured to replace the entire roof right away. I will definitely make Duffy my first call when we need roof work in the future.

Description of Work: Added a layer of roof shingles to our hip style roof, cleaned and oiled gutters. I called them and representative came the next day .He stated the roof only had a single layer of shingles (put on in 1988). He stated it would not be necessary to remove that layer, which would keep the cost down. We chose a shingle with a high grade rating. Work started the next day after his visit and finished the following day when the wooden gutters were cleaned and oiled. They also checked all the down spouts to make sure they were not blocked. I have some delicate, expensive weather equipment on the roof which measures windspeed and direction, rainfall, outside temperature, barometric pressure, dew point, humidity, etc. on a 14 ft mast . The workers were particlularly careful when working around this equipment, and as result there were no problems. They thoroughly cleaned up the entire area before leaving. They were very professional and worked as a team. The final charge was their initial estimate This is the second time we have used Duffy Roofing. They are top quality roofers, We highly recommend them without reservation.

Description of Work: Replaced front of roof on Cape Cod style house. Were neat and efficient. Only issue was not informing me of the day they would do the work. Came home from work to find roof done.

Description of Work: Duffy roofing responded rapidly to my call when I had major problems with ice dams. They came out twice on short notice. In January they replaced my roof. The did a wonderful job. When I called 18 months later regarding a leak from my skylight, they came right away and fixed it. It was not even a problem with thier work, but a window cleaner I had used. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
