DORCHESTER STAINED GLASS

I would like to start off by saying that I have NEVER left a bad review for anyone on Angi, Yelp, or any other similar site. As far as I'm concerned, you're going to get a bad meal or a bad vendor from time to time, it's just part of life, and it's easier just to move on. That being said, Dorchester Stained Glass was such a bad experience that I feel compelled to warn others. We hired Peter to repair the leaded glass transom above our entry door. We agreed on price and timeline and he removed the window to work on it at his shop. He used MY ladder to perform the work, did a sub-par board-up and left a mess. I had to add a plastic tarp and fiberglass to his poor board-up job to keep out the elements. When the repairs to the window were done, he returned to re-install it. While working on it, he dropped the window and frame, breaking it, and needed to bring it back to his shop for more repairs. I get it, this happens, but he again left a mess behind him, did a poor board-up, and didn't even bother to reinstall the tarp and fiberglass. Peter returned when the additional repairs were complete and installed the transom. He performed his work while I was not there. When I returned home to review the finished product, the frame and millwork were clearly broken and POORLY repaired with staples. Areas of molding that were not broken to begin with were now damaged and looked awful. A full 4" section of quarter-round trim was completely missing and badly, almost comically replaced with glazing. Finish nails were not countersunk and certainly not covered with wood filler. And on top of this, the glass is still broken in 2 areas! My wife, who was home at the time, gave Peter his final payment. If I were home, there is no way I would have paid for this sloppy work. I would never let this guy into my home to do any type of work again. I would strongly caution anyone away from using this vendor
