Before starting our major renovation project we invited several contractors and then chose Pedro. We did not regret it. Pedro was different from all the other contractors; he listened carefully to what we wanted, was very responsive, and gave us a lot of valuable input. After the initial interview he came back several times (once with his plumber) to discuss the project details before submitting his carefully written proposal. The main projects involved gutting, expanding, and rebuilding the full bathroom; gutting and rebuilding the guest bathroom; and turning the unheated and dilapidated mudroom into a dining room complete with a vaulted ceiling. As the renovations progressed we made some changes and added additional projects, and Pedro was able to handle everything to our satisfaction. We discussed every detail as it was being implemented, in person or by phone, so we were always fully aware of what was going on at each stage. We would also like to mention that Pedro and everyone on his team are very pleasant people to work with. The project ran a bit longer than we expected, but we were so happy with the end result that we did not mind. Plus, the total cost was within our limited budget. Now we have a beautiful home, more than we had ever imagined, and we are happy to recommend Pedro to anyone looking for a very professional yet affordable contractor.

Pedro and crew were great. They showed up every day on time and worked throughout the day. I was not home all the days, but we easily coordinated them getting into the house and locking up when done. I felt my house was in safe hands while gone. When I was home they were respectful and pleasant to chat with. They were careful to protect my new hardwood floors and cleaned up after themselves. The work they did was excellent. As you can see from the description, I had them do a lot of projects. I initially was only going to have them do the trim. But I was impressed with their work and Pedro was helpful about providing estimates and suggestions along the way so we greatly expanded the project. Even with all the extra added work, there was no delay in scheduling work days. Pedro was helpful in working within my budget and even did a couple of small things without charging like fixing a stuck door. It didn’t take him much time, but that’s the type of mentality I look for in a contractor! Pedro was great about ensuring I was happy with the work. We did a thorough walk through and he fixed up a few small things I had issue with without complaint. There was one small fix that we didn’t get to prior to me leaving the country for three weeks. I had already fully paid so it would have been easy for Pedro to just move on, but HE reached out to me when I got to schedule the work. He was great to work with and I would definitely hire him and his crew again.

Pedro and his crew did excellent work on our house damaged by ice dams over the winter. Pedro is very thoughtful and respectful contractor. He listened as long as needed to answer my questions and concerns. The crew performed all the works on time and on budget. I specially thankful to Pedro for fixing our 50 year old and difficult front door locks. He can handle all the challenges.

I have only positive things to say about Pedro and his team. This was a big project requiring extensive plumbing and electrical work. Pedro was always easy to reach and was quick to address all my questions and concerns. The work was completed in a timely manner and the the quality of work was top notch. I will definitely hire Pedro and his team in the future for all my construction/maintenance/electrical/plumbing needs.

I met with Pedro in person 3 times to discuss all the details. He was patient and understanding of my needs. His crew always cleans up everyday and tries the best to make sure all areas are covered for protection. Pedro will be in constant contact with me with updates on the project which I appreciate because I don't like no contact for several days. Sometimes his workers work on the weekends and late at night too. It was a 3 week estimate but end up 4 weeks to finished due to unforeseen plumbing issues. The quality of the work is certainly acceptable but not perfect (but who is?). I would reconsider to hire Pedro in the future.

Pedro arrived on time as discussed to review the area to be worked on, he took notes and pictures using his iPhone. After the initial meeting we corresponded via text, email an occasional phone call to discuss pricing and timing. A formal quote was provided breaking down each section of the project to be worked on and the associated cost. Pedro arrived with his crew the in the morning of the agreed upon date. The work was completed in the agreed upon time frame. I was extremely satisfied with the level of work and Pedro's attention to detail.

Went very well and I would hire Pedro & his crew again in a heartbeat. I've worked with Pedro many times in the past - he's my "go to" guy for a one stop shopping experience. His prices are fair and his work is meticulous. He doesn't cut corners. Working with Pedro is as stress free as it gets as he coordinates everything - and I mean everything (he even picked out the window blinds for me - I love it! ). He constantly provides me with updates on the project and he's earned my trust to be in charge. Plus, he's just a nice guy and easy to talk to, which is very important. I refer him to all my friends.

Outstanding work. Pedro is a great communicator and builder. He managed change orders--and brought everything in on time and budget. Friends and colleagues tell us that it is some of the finer basement finished space that they have seen. The job was on tome-/and on budget--with minor changes. We passed all inspections almost without modification. Pedro is great to work with. Looks beautiful. Smart process and choices made a key junctures. Flexible but disciplined! Hire these guys for your next project!

This was a BIG structural, challenging project that and the first significant renovation my husband and I have ever been involved with. I had worked with Pedro (principal of Crystal Construction) on a couple of small jobs previously. His work had been excellent and so we trusted him with this much more significant job. We didn't hire an architect because we were essentially keeping the same three-room layout that existed in the basement, but we did need a structural engineer that Pedro connected us with in order to remove two of the three posts that split up the basement's largest room, and replace it with a beam. Subcontractors hired by Pedro did the electrical work (significant, as it involved moving our panel, mentioned above), plumbing (also significant as we were adding a bathroom, and due to the existing plumbing we had to install a pump to move waste water from the shower and toilet to the waste pipe), and HVAC. Pedro is terrific to work with. Aside from the VERY high-quality end product he delivers, really the greatest thing about him is he is incredibly responsive and communicative. We were in daily text or phone contact through out the summer (job ran from mid-June through mid-November) and I was never left wondering what was going on or where he was. With a job as large and long as this one, that's incredibly important and valuable. He's personable and very pleasant to deal with - again, really important when you are working with someone as closely as you are with your general contractor on a major project. There were a number of structural challenges involved in this project and we were able to work together very well to figure them out. There were very few added costs, none of them due to Pedro or his subs but rather previous (shoddy) work that had been done on the house. About a quarter of the way through the project we also decided that we wanted to remove the bulkhead - our own choice to add costs and time. All Pedro's own employees and the subs he used were also extremely nice and easy to deal with. Everyone did a great job containing the mess and aside from the dumpster in our driveway and the building permit on the door, most of the time we wouldn't have known they were there. While much of this was due to the nature of the project - we hadn't used the basement for anything but storage previously and other areas of the house were largely unaffected - everyone was extremely courteous and considerate. I highly recommend Crystal Construction.

We hired Pedro's team for a lengthy list of punch list items in our condo. There were many things left unfinished in the finished basement by the original developer and Pedro quickly reviewed our open items and make suggestions. He was very responsive to our requests and took new requests in stride as things were uncovered. His team is very clean and does quality work. We never felt like we were getting the runaround and we were never pressured to do any more work than was necessary. Pedro was upfront with all costs and let us know if any of our changes would add additional cost. I'd recommend Crystal Construction for any job large or small.

Crystal Construction performed various services including remodeling and rehab work, moving and upgrading of house systems. They were extremely efficient, provided timely estimates and were on top of everything they were tasked to do. very professional and responsive, I have hired them on many occasions and shall continue to do so. I highly recommend them for all home improvement projects, I particularly have extremely sensitive items such as a grand piano which they protected the entire time they were providing the work. Extremely reliable, trustworthy, straight with the pricing....no surprises....HIGHLY Recommended!

Very well overall. The owner spent lots of time with me to develop a quote. Ultimately I went with someone else due to price, but I found this company to be responsive and honest. Pedro made a suggestion that I I did not take, and I do have some regrets that I am not working with him.

We were working within a budget and looking to have the work done sooner rather than later. Pedro listened to what we wanted done, offered some suggestions, and worked within the estimated timeline. His crew was great! They were respectful of our home, and our things. They kept the work area clean. We have small children and had to leave the house during the renovation, we also only have the one bathroom. It was estimated to take a week and a half, and we were home before that! I would recommend Crystal Construction to anyone looking for a contractor.

The boxed-in pipes look very nice! They now look like they were a part of the original design of the home. Pedro's process does NOT involve any sanding whatsoever and the final result is a perfect, smooth, even surface/wall. I'm most pleased that there was no sanding required because dust cleanup would have been extremely time-consuming. Also, he did a pretty good job tiling the floor. Great communication and professional.

I had been left hanging by the incompetence of the previous crew who left the job unfinished due to time constraints and lack of experience. I was lucky enough to reach Pedro by phone personally the first time I called him and he took the time to immediately to listen to my story about my project. I was also lucky enough that he had time, or made time for this project. He gave me a reasonable estimate over the phone which I accepted after I sent him measurements and photos. We came to an agreement and he actually came over with his crew the very next day and began work. They worked here for two days without any B.S. No complaints, no cutting corners, no backtracking on work agreed upon which is so common with so many contractors. They did what we agreed would be done and they did it kinda fast. Pedro is a very personable guy to be around who does not make you feel like an ATM machine. He was respectful and very responsive to my concerns as a customer, doing his best to make my slightly odd and poorly constructed space turn into something great. I appreciated also, the character of the guys he had with him, all were very nice and they also seemed to treat each other well, as he did them as well. it was a refreshing departure from some of the people I have recently had over here. I got the clear feeling that he was concerned about doing a job well and providing good service to his customers and maintaining a good reputation. For that reason I was reluctant to write this review as he might become more busy and I need him for other projects.

Pedro was fantastic to work with. The day I contacted him, he came by immediately to inspect the job. He quoted me a price during our meeting together and we set up a date for him to conduct the work the following week. His communication was excellent. He finished the job in the expected amount of time. The quality of the work was excellent and he offered to come back again if I found any areas that needed to be fixed. The work area was very clean once they finished. His team conducted themselves with a very high amount of professionalism. I would recommend using them and will definitely use them for jobs in the future.

We had the good fortune of hiring Crystal Construction to do external work on our home. We needed 5 window sills and a door under trim replaced due to weather rot. Pedro and company provided the type of results that were unimaginative to us. They were fantastic. Pedro and company were very professional and courteous. They showed up on time and completed the work as promised. We would strongly recommend Crystal Construction without hesitation.

Pedro was prompt with response and the project was done in a timely manner. He is detailed and took time to explain what he was planning to do. The work was done in a collaborative manner as he listened to my requests and preferences. The end result was excellent and I am very satisfied with it. The price was the best among the people that I contacted. He had an idea that saved a lot of money and time that the other people couldn't come up with.

Non responsive after he came to see the place, though he kept promising to deliver the quote, via subsequent emails/texts.

Pedro is an exceptional talent. The job went very well--at times in deep snow Boston weather. Pedro is timely, talented, and a pleasure to have in your home. He and his team of professionals work efficiently--while taking great care to think through elements and work smartly. The level of craftsmanship was exceptional. Pedro responded quickly to our request for a consultation and provided a quote by email a few days later. He met the overall time table for the project - arriving early in the morning and putting in a full day. The team was professional and he cleaned up after the work each day. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations - Pedro carefully listened to what we wanted and also took into considerations the space limitations we were working under. I would highly recommend Crystal construction for any jobs the involve carpentry - the cabinets that Pedro build are of high quality and look like they fit in with the remainder of the house. I plan to have him build additional built-in cabinets for my living room.

Pedro was very quick and professional in providing an estimate which was less than half what I got from another contractor. He was able to start within a week or two, and did the job within 2 days. Did I great job and managed to keep the dust etc to a minimum. I was especially impressed by the way they matched the new skirting with the old by staining. They have done other work in our building and have gone out of their way to get it done in time, even working late into the night. Pedro is very courteous and professional.

Went very well and I'm happy with the results. Pedro and his crew spend 2 days up on the roof in sub-zero temperature to dig out snow and ice dams. There are areas of the roof where the snow was 5' deep! When they left, I had the cleanest roof on the entire street. They did it efficiently and without damage to the roof. I'll have Pedro come back in the spring to install gutter heaters. Their prices was great - I got 3 quotes. Pedro's was about $2000 less than 2nd lowest quote. Other contractors were jacking up the prices, but Pedro remained reasonable. The crew were also professional roofers - they had all the safety equipment and were fully insured, which gave me a peace of mind. Highly recommended.
