Conroy Plastering

Do not use Martin! He hasn't done plaster work in almost 2 years and I found that when he told me half way through the job! Well it showed.... Plaster on built up wall is cracking and falling off everywhere didn't even out any skims, couldn't finish around outlets, plaster all over my tile walls and wood trim. REMOVE FROM ANGIES LIST!

Con was great - answered call straight away, came over to give me a quote which was several hundred $ lower than expected, was friendly and professional when he did the work himself over the weekend. Highly, highly recommend Con for any plastering / drywall work - if I needed help with this again he would be the first I'd call!

Everything was perfect. I couldn't have asked for better service. I emailed him a photo of damaged wall and left him a voice message. He emailed me back right away with a very good quote, and offered to come over on Saturday. He arrived on time, and was very courteous and quite pleasant to work with. He blended the damaged areas smoothly and very pleasantly fixed up an extra blemish on the wall with plaster. He finished the job efficiently and cleaned up everything afterward. As it was a small job, not everyone on Angie's list returned my inquiry. He was among the fastest, and certainly the best quote I received. I will recommend him wholeheartedly.

About 1/4 of my new livingroom ceiling was destroyed because of a plumbing situation from an apartment on the 3rd floor. Naturally I was upset and became concerned whether the leakage was caused by my bathroom (plumbing more money), was there any mold, and HOW MUCH was this going to cost? Now being a widow ,I knew some of these companies still had that masculine attitude and would probably tell me anything. So I went to Angie's Lists. I spoke to 6 companies. What a bunch of rude individuals. One just looked at the ceiling and said I didn't have mold plus wanted to charge me extra for painting over a finished plastered work, another said I didn't need to replaster the ceiling but just paint over it (that's right,me I would have to repaint it),plus another didn't even return my calls. Ok the next on my list was Conroy. By this time I've braced myself for the negative responses and had a few remarks I was going to use as a response. But this didn't happen. Mr. Conroy returned my call in the late afternoon and apologized for the late response (nice). We set up an appointment - which he kept- and when he came by, he LISTENED to me and treated my problem seriously. After taking measurements, Mr Conroy told me it would not be necessary to do the entire ceiling(nice), would look for signs of mold and check the plumbing(nice) and he would paint over the plastering. If there was a plumbing issue, he would use his plumbing crew(nice). Mr. Conroy would also clean up all messes, move furniture to one side and cover it. This was for a VERY reasonable price. The only issue I had was when he was suppose to arrive Saturday, but called that day to tell me his worker left for the weekend with the tools and would not be able to do the job. Mr. Conroy offered to come by on Sunday morning. He was very thorough, told me there was not a mold issue and explained why and my bathroom above me was not the cause. He completed the work And clean up by the afternoon. CONROY PLASTERING has my vote.

Martin called me back on a Saturday and came the next day to provide an estimate. He was on time for our appt and extremely knowlegable and told me what needed to be done to fix the horrible job done previously . He came early and stayed late and finished it all in one day. It looks terrific and I couldn't be happier. It's nice to FINALLY hire someone who does what they say and clearly has pride in their work. You would be crazy to call any other plasterer!!! I am having him back to finish the basement!

did a good job noticed many rough spots where ceiling meets wall. I need to do a fair amount of sanding to get back to normal.

Martin shows up early, works hard through the day to get the job done and done well. I've always been happy with his work and would always recommend him. My neighbor is hiring Martin for a job within the next week or so.

Conroy Plastering came to me by way of recommendation and I can clearly see why. I had at first tried to reach Conroy Plastering through an email, but later saw that someone had emailed them twice with no response. After reading this, I decided to call the number listed and I left a message. I quickly received a call back and scheduled a time for an estimate the next day. It was later explained to me that my emails were not received at Conroy Plastering's end. Martin Conroy is trustworthy and very easy to deal with. He is an extremely hard worker, very professional, and quite meticulous in his work. He has plastered my entire kitchen, a bathroom ceiling, our stair well, and even blended new sections of wall with old horse hair plastered walls flawlessly. The end result to his work is incredible, as smooth as glass. I couldn't be happier with Conroy Plastering and the work he has completed for us, I will not hesitate to call Martin for all my future plastering work and will recommend him HIGHLY to all my friends and family. I'm glad I never gave up on Conroy Plastering when I didn't receive a response to my email. Thank you for all your help Martin Conroy, my family and I are very grateful.

I found Martin on Angie's list. Called on Wednesday and he came out that same evening. He gave me an estimate on the spot and I said when can you do it. He said Friday and he would be there at 7:30. He came about 7:45 and completed the job that same day. He was very professional and meticulous in everything he did. As an afterthought I asked him to finish a couple of poorly patched areas in a hall way ceiling and he said he had already planned on doing those. He did so at no additional charge.

Emailed twice and never heard back.

I called Conroy Plastering and Martin Conroy answered the phone, he met me that evening and gave me an estimate that was more than fair. He was in and out in one day leaving almost no sign that he had even been at my home, other than new beautiful ceilings.

I contacted him on Wednesday and he was able to come on Saturday morning.He did a great job, it looks as good as before the holes were cut. He was very professional and cleaned up after himself. I definately recommend Marty!

Martin was extremely punctual and professional. A hard worker with quality results. Martin plastered our living and sun room walls, living, dining, sunroom and hallway ceilings. He responded promptly to all phone calls, kept me informed of the progress of the project, eased my concerns, and left the work site clean upon completion. great Job. Very easy to deal with.

Martin came on time, checked out the room and got the plastic sheeting to seal it up so that dust wouldn't get in other rooms. We already had put paper on the floor but Martin put another drop cloth on top. Proceeded to put up the new blue board on theand cut the holes for the light fixtures and then sealed up the seams. After that had dried he came back twice to put two coats of plaster on it and feathered the edges into the wall. Ceiling was perfectly done, flat like a mirror.

Martin was extremely professional and very trustworthy. The mudroom was our biggest concern seeing that only a portion of a wall needed to be replaced. But it came out fantastic. You cannot tell where the old meets the new drywall. The price was very reasonable and they finished in 2 days. I would definitely use him again.

The quality of their work is very good. The only thing we did not like is they did not clean up before they left. They also did not sand the walls we had to do it ourselves.

Martin was personable, professional and responsible. We had him complete a sound insulation project using two materials, Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) and Roxul. Martin had used Roxul before but had not used the MLV. Before we even hired him for the job, Martin researched MLV installation so he was prepared to do a successful job. Martin went out of his away to make sure the work was completed successfully, helping us coordinate the delivery of the materials, consulting with the supplier of the materials for advice, and making sure the painting job (not done by him) was done well. Martin is very personable and nice to work with. We give him the highest recommendation.

It went very well, he was in and out. His quality of work is outstanding. I can not say enough about his work.

Professional, efficient, prompt and flexible! We had some plumbing work done in one of owners unit Martin was extremely flexible working around her schedule. The job was done as expected and made the work the painter had to do after him even easier. Great job and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again!Ho

Amazing --- Martin is busy (because he does great work and as a result is in demand) He had to cancel he appointment for estimate on Wednesday because he was finishing a job up. But, I'd rather know Martin takes care of his current working customer before moving on to estimates. Showed up on time Thursday night -- no problems.

They did a very nice job. They were very pleasant and professional.
