CAREY CLEANING COMPANY

The price was more than reasonable - comparing to other cleaners who would clean my house for price ranging between $170-$250 - so $100/cleaning seemed a perfect deal. However, for the services I received (or to be exact - not received) even that price was too much (hence C and not A for the price). On the first cleaning, they missed few important spots, like: rims of the toilets; floor in the master shower; plus tons of minor spots (dust in the corners and under the beds - very obvious on hard wood floor). After every next cleaning I had to go around finding spots they missed and asking them to redo it. Still, for the price I decided that I can deal with little reminding. After several cleanings, they canceled cleaning on 1 minute notice via e-mail, because Carey's wife "woke up under the weather". Please note that the cleaning was scheduled at 11:30am - she must've woken up earlier than 11:29am. Also, I saw no reason for Carey not to come and do the work on his own. I coincidentally had guests from out of town the following day. I wrote to Carey asking to please come on his own, or find replacement for them - explaining my situation; I got now response. I stopped using them after that for a while. However, I continued receiving consistent e-mails from Carey, apologizing and reminding me that they are there to my service if I ever change my mind. Being aware that monthly cleanings are more difficult to manage than bi-monthly, and that I didn't warn them of the urgency (if not for the guests, I could've asked them to just make it the following day) - and also as I respected the eagerness Carey shown trying to keep me as their client, I gave them another chance; we blamed this all on miscommunication, and agreed to service once a month; I also agreed to keep them informed if there is something urgent is coming. They cleaned once. Then, one week before the second scheduled cleaning, I e-mail them, reminding of the date, stressing how important this date would be because I have baby play group scheduled at my house the morning following the cleaning; I also mentioned that if something changes they are welcome to come any date before the scheduled date, as long as the house is cleaned by then. I got response from them one day before scheduled cleaning, asking me if cleaning can be removed for the day after; I reminded them again of the playgroup scheduled on the day after - making their request impossible, and said that I can be flexible with time and they can come at any time on the day we agreed - as long as they tell me what time they will be there (I had errands to run). They didn't respond and didn't show up. I have called, e-mailed, and texted. Week later Carey sent me very dry e-mail (looked like a mass e-mail) informing that they are not servicing my area any longer. To my astonishment, they e-mailed me (personal e-mail) a month later with the "great news" - they were now servicing my area again, and would be happy to help anytime I need them. To this day, I have been receiving consistent personal reminders from them - by e-mail, and requests on linkedin. Needless to say, I didn't reply to any.
