+ -1 moreUnfortunately, we did not hear back from them at all after the initial home visit a month and a half ago. During the visit, Ben was knowledgeable and friendly, and we were optimistic that he could help us with the design and construction of a roof deck. However, we were disappointed to get no follow-up quote which we had discussed, and no reply at all to our emails requesting the same. He was probably not interested in the project for some reason and never got back to us to let us know. Unfortunately, this meant we lost time in starting our design process, since we did not know to move on to other firms.
Description of Work: No services performed, just a home visit for the purposes of providing a quotation.

Description of Work: Ben designed a wonderful landscape for my back yard, selected plants that were appropriate for the conditions so that it would be a low-maintenance garden, then he and his staff laid pavers and put in plant beds and planted a variety of shrubs and perennials. He also made money-saving suggestions about fencing and ground treatments.

+ -1 moreBen did a great job and was fantastic to work with. My retaining wall was broken by workers on a neighbor's job. Ben was recommended by a neighbor whose backyard he had redone into a patio with stone paving and built wooden planters. They found him super nice to deal with, clean and careful, and very reasonably priced. I agree! Showed when he said, has a good eye for design, cares about the work. This small project took a bit longer than expected due to summer scheduling, but he kept me informed, presented and discussed all options, was thorough in his written communication and responsive both by email and phone. He even took the time to research the source of the Ipe wood due to my concerns about sustainable foresting, although it was just one board. Also advised on plans for back yard and referred excavator, no charge. I'd definitely recommend and hire again.
Description of Work: Replaced a retaining wall in front garden well of an 1840's rowhouse. Remove and dispose existing damaged wall, buried concrete and additional soil from foundation. Remove and stockpile existing garden soil. Construct new retaining wall to existing dimensions, reinforce with steel re-bar, fasten Ipe cap to new wall and apply finishing oil.
