I've never hired movers before, but with a pregnant wife, and a planned move during the work week, with limited help, renting a UHaul and moving myself was pretty much out of the question. I didnt find many reviews on A Plus, although the ones I did were positive. My decision to go with them was largely based on price alone. After receiving multiple quotes in excess of $1200 and as "Giant" as $2000 to move my 700 SF of stuff, I was shocked! A Plus' quote of $99/hr for 3 guys, 1 truck and and estimate of 5 hours to move from Southie to Beverly seem much more realistic than the others. The guys arrived right on time, and got right to work. They had most of the boxes out of our apartment within 30 minutes and were getting started on the furniture. My wife and I had planned to make a few additional trips for several of the little things we hadnt packed yet, but watching how fast these guys were working we went right to town on boxing things up. We even struggled to keep up with them. All of our furniture was thoroughly wrapped and protected. The were very cautious with loading and unloading and we didnt encounter any damage. Total cost was $550 for time and materials (tape, shrink wrap, etc) Well worth the price and a bargain compare to the other companies out there. I will definitely call A Plus on my next move and highly recommend them to anyone interested in movers.

When I initially moved from upstate NY to the Boston area 2 1/2 years ago, I used A-PLUS based on a friend's recommendation and they did an excellent job. So when it came time to move locally I called them again. The arrived on time, and the guy in charge obviously knew what he was doing. The two other guys on the crew were very nice and respectful, and didn't complain about having to move us out of our 4th floor walkup. When we got to our new house, our boxspring wouldn't fit up the stairs. The head guy cut the frame cross-wise with a saw to fold it and try and get it up the stairs, but it still wouldn't fit. So he pulled it in through the bedroom window and it made it in successfully. He said the boxspring would still work and he was right, our bed feels just as good as it did in our last place. Thankfully we didn't have to go out and buy sectioned boxsprings. I would definitely use them again in the future.

A Plus movers were great. I couldnt ask for more. They were on time, very courteous, and very professional. This is the second time I have used this company and both times were terrific. They wrap every item of furniture, take furniture apart and put it all back together, and were very careful with everything. Highly recommend for a stress-free move.

Move medium to small pieces of furniture and take and move all pictures from the walls in a three-storey townhouse (unheated). A quick phone call to Mike on the Friday before the holiday and his three men arrived early on Monday. Everything was professionally moved without breaks or scratches despite the cold. The whole move took 4 hours and 45 minutes. I have items to move in the spring. I'll use them again.

It was overall a very positive experience. The two guys who showed up were very clean and efficient. I have used them only once. They were very flexible about doing a small job as opposed to doing a big job. They did it very well. I’ve got absolutely no complaints. The only drawback was that they have a two-hour minimum, so if I have got a small job, I have to be aware of that. I haven’t hired a lot of other movers either, so I don’t have anything to compare them to but my gut feeling is that they would do well compared to any mover. I have nothing to compare their price either. They weren’t perfect but they were very good. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

This was the only moving company we spoke to who was willing to move us in one day. Three other companies told us that interstate moves could not be completed in fewer than two days (even though the where we were moving to is only two hours away). A-Plus estimated that the move would take 8 -10 hours. They completed the move in 8 hours. The guys were hard-working, careful, and professional.

We used A Plus Movers on the recommendation on several friends (who also used them). We hired three movers and one truck for the first leg of the move and three movers and two trucks for the second leg of the move. We were so happy with A Plus. Mike Aileni was the contact person who I dealt with and he was very responsive and gave us a quote the same day that we called. Both crews who moved us were on time, polite and professional and took extremely good care of our belongings. They wrapped all of our furniture carefully with moving blankets and they worked for a solid eight hours both days in hot June/July weather. We provided them with lunch and cold water throughout and they were very thankful. On the second leg of the move, all of our belongings were carefully unloaded into our new house and placed where we directed. The crew assembled all of the furniture that had been taken apart. They were also extremely careful with our new floors and freshly painted walls. If we move again, I will definitely use them and I will recommend them to anyone I know who moves in the future.
