He came to give us an estimate for 2 bathroom remodels, we have been waiting over 2 months for his quote. Every time we call, he says he will get the quote out to us quickly. Nothing yet.

Should have known there would be trouble, should have known that the 1 year warranty would be a problem. Looked great until it didn't, which happened quickly. Requests for him to fix things after he received his final payment were ignored until the 1 year was past. Then he could say it wasn't his problem. Apparently ignored requests during remodeling for specific things to be fixed as well. I could go on for pages and pages but the following is a specific example. I requested that extra care in examining the plumbing in the bathtub during the remodel because I thought there was a slow leak and was told of course we'll take care of it. I assumed they did and you remember that old saying about "assume". They didn't, as clearly demonstrated by the fact that I will have to have the kitchen ceiling ripped out (remember it was new, too?) to fix the problem. He acts nice, he pretends he cares until it is done and he is paid and he is outta there. He would say that I'm simply a hysterical female but I think it is his misogyny that made him ignore what I was saying and continue to say. Since I was the family point person on dealing with the remodel, his ignoring my requests and input while pretending he was responding to it is the root of the problems we now face. Of course he'll say that he is married and has two daughters so how could he possibly be a misogynist? My husband simply wants nothing to do with him and his blather and would rather just pay someone else to fix his mistakes. That in itself, says quite a bit. Standard bad contractor story with a twist of sexism, ugh!
