Topping Landscaping

This is the 11th year I hired Ron's team to perform spring cleaning, bush trimming, edging and mulching and his team consistently went above and beyond and exceeded my expectation. He is not the most affordable but if you like how your yard looks, you should definitely hire his team.

Ron and his crew showed up on time, did a great job and cleaned up everything. Ron is very professional, easy to work with and his prices are affordable. We highly recommend Topping and will certainly hire them again.

Ron did an excellent job installing my sprinkler system. He responded quickly to my quote request and offered both the best price and the longest warranty. He was prompt to respond to emails and helped coordinate a plumber to install a backflow preventer ahead of time. On the install date, his team arrived on time and was finished the same day. We walked the property and worked together to plan an ideal sprinkler layout, including making sure it would work with our soon-to-be-installed fence. I was very happy working with Ron and look forward to having him out to winterize our system later this year.

Ron is a top-notch pro who went above and beyond. He kept us informed every step of the way, and the results have been better than we anticipated! We will continue to be his clients for lawn clean ups, leaf removal, etc.

It was done fast and perfect. Ron and his team did a wonderful job and the house looks beautiful! We also use Ron for fall and spring cleanup, they always do a great job. I would recommend them highly!

Ron got back to me immediately after my initial call and came to the house within a week to discuss what we’d like done. We received a cost and scheduling estimate within a few days. The work took about a week. Ron and his team removed all of the existing beds and the red maple in front, regraded the yard, installed an irrigation system, hydroseeded the new lawn, built new beds at the front of the house and planted new shrubs. The results were amazing and we couldn’t have been happier. Two years later, this summer, we discovered an issue with our septic system that would require about a third of the front yard be excavated. Needless to say this was very upsetting given the amount of work that had just been put into improving the yard. Luckily Ron was there to save the day. Ron worked with the excavating company to identify the critical parts of the irrigation system would be impacted and dug them up just ahead of the excavation work. Within a week of the completion of the excavation work Ron had regraded the repaired the irrigation system, excavated area, spread new loam and hydroseeded. Just a few weeks later and our yard is starting to look like our yard again. I couldn’t recommend Ron more highly.

About 2 years ago we hired Topping Landscaping after a steady decline in service from our long-time lawn service. Ron visited us within a day of our initial inquiry and provided an itemized and very fairly priced quote for a variety of services that we requested. Since then Topping has shown up every week, even during the current drought when they may arrive then decide the lawn doesn't need mowing. They are meticulous in mowing, weed-whacking and blowing away debris, and they do an excellent job of cleaning up leaves in spring and fall. Where they have shined the brightest is in maintenance of our numerous flower beds: clean, deep edging, very thorough weeding, and plentiful, even mulching. Ron also suggested lining a couple weed-prone areas with nice-looking large stones, and that has made a huge difference in ease of maintenance as well as appearance. We are now moving to a new home and will be out of Topping's service area, but if we could we would definitely keep them onboard for the new home. Price listed below is average weekly mow/trim service.

Ron and his workers did a wonderful job as usual. We hired him for work last year and that went very well, too. He is great to work with and he and his workers work hard. We had found granite cobblestones that we liked and Ron gladly agreed to procure them and passed on the savings to us. We also wanted mulch from another source than usual and he gladly agreed to that. He also made a small retaining wall with some of the discarded stones in the back of the property that surprised and delighted us, at no additional charge.

Ron was very professional. He showed up on time, was very upfront about all the costs and was more than happy to add on services after he started for a negligible additional cost. He really understood what we were trying to do, and was able to execute exactly what we had discussed in the time frame that he originally told me. We were deciding between several landscape companies to do the work. I know we picked the right one. We will definitely use him again, and would certainly recommend him to others.

He was very timely, and communicated well. He answered his phone whenever we called, or answered back right away. He even texted my husband when he was going to be late. Our neighbors have hired him as well.

This is the third year that I have used Ron's team for my yard work and couldn't have been more happier. Ron is professional and courteous and always responds in a timely fashion, even when he is on vacation. He goes out of his way to make customer happy. His team always shows up on time, doing a great job and cleaning up when the job is done. Today his team came for the final clean up of our yard. They cleaned all the leaves off my lawn, cut down all the dead bushes and weeds, and did a final cut of the lawn to prepare it for winter. The lawn is spotless after they left and I am very happy with his team. I have recommended Ron's service to a lot neighbor and friends and definitely will use Ron's service in the spring again.

Ron was easy to communicate with and anytime I reached out to him he responded in a timely manner. His team showed up on time and got right to work. The job was finished in the amount of time quoted and the quality is good. The team paid attention to details and even put down new grass seed on the areas they had dug up (which I wasn't expecting). I'm happy with the work that was done and want to thank Ron and his team for making me a happy customer. I will call them again if I have another landscaping project.

I called the company several times in their busiest season, and they did not respond until I emailed them. Once I got their response, they did the work quickly and efficiently. I was especially grateful for Ron's advice on which plants and bushes would give me the results which were best suited to my yard. The crew who did the work was professional and efficient and responded to all of my concerns as I closely monitored the work. While the price quote was on the higher end, I am more than pleased with the work they did. I strongly recommend this company.

It took us a little while to schedule Topping, but it was worth the wait. The showed up on time on the scheduled day and did an excellent job. They removed a bunch of overgrown bushes and trim the ones we wanted to keep. The removed overgrown flowerbeds around the house so we could do some new plantings. The removed a old tree stump. They removed a pile of yard debris next to our shed and removed an old flag pole. Last, they reseeded much of the lawn and it looks great. Our yard seems bigger and is much more usable and friendly to the eye. We would definitely use them again.
