Fantastic job.

Ron's crew did a fantastic job in fall cleaning up, spring cleaning up and dethatching. For fall cleanup, I had his crew came out twice to clean up the excessive leaves around our home. We have huge maple trees around our house, which leaves huge amount of leaves during the fall. Ron's crew came out in early morning and the lawn looked spotless when they left. I also used Ron's crew for spring clean up and dethatching, which they did a terrific job as well. I am looking forward to a beautiful lawn this summer and fall.

Ron was very responsive, I called him and left him a voicemail for fall cleanup. He called me the next day itself and came to review the property the same week. Setup an appointment for next week, though we were pretty late in November for fall cleanup. Very professional team, was thoroughly impressed by the work they did. Would definitely use them again.

Topping landscaping did an excellent job in all of the yard clean up tasks that I asked them to do. They arrived on time and my yard looked great when they were done!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. They were very good. We were very pleased. We told them what we needed to have done and they were able to finish it in one day so it was fine. They came out quickly to give me a scope of what the whole thing would cost so they were very prompt. They came out on the day they said they would. I had them do some more stuff so I paid additional.

It was easy to contact them and set up the appointment. They arrived on time to perform the work. Given the scope of the work, I thought that they would need a bobcat, but there were just three guys with saws and hand tools. They worked real hard all day long and did a good job clearing out the area. They put down sufficient loam and seeded the area with grass seeds. After a lot of watering on my part, there is now a nice little lawn there three months later. They did a good job removing the rocks and pebbles, thus didn't cause any problem with my riding mower. Afterwards, they did a great cleanup and haul away job. They ran out of time on the lawn so they came back a couple of days later with another crew and aerated the lawn and overseeded it. They did a good job, the lawn looks better than it has been in years. There was a misunderstanding as to whether the price included taking out the poison ivy. They said no, but did it for me anyway. I really appreciated it. Overall I had a good experience and would hire them again in the spring to lime my lawn.

It went as well as I could have hoped for. I called them and left a message and Ron called me back the next day. He said he'd come out on Friday to walk the property and provide an estimate. Sure enough, Friday came and I got a call from him with a very reasonable quote. He said he could come out on Monday to do the job and again, sure enough he was there first thing on Monday and did a great job. He, unlike many other service providers I have worked with, was responsive, priced right, kept his word, and did an awesome job. I can't ask for more. Will definitely be calling him again in the Spring!

I was very happy with the work Topping Landscaping did for us. Ron is very easy to communicate with, always calling back when he said he would. He gave me very fair prices, arrived exactly when he said he would, and made sure everything was done perfectly. His crew was excellent and hard working. I don't think this was an easy job. The shrubs in the front of our house were very large and overgrown. Ron was very careful with their removal, no damage was done to our house, and the entire area was left spotless. I'd be happy to have Ron and his crew return to do any yard work for us in the future. He can be trusted, as can his crew.

Well, haven't done anything yet, but they had some good ideas about lawn improvement that we'll discuss next spring. Thank you!

I took advantage of a special $400.00 for $259.00 (2 men for 4 hrs. or 1 man for 8 hours) I spoke with Ron Topping and set up a date. About 5/6 days before the set up date, Ron called and said he had guys available that afternoon and would I be interested in having the work done sooner. I said okay. He sent out 3 men for about 3 hours. They would have stayed longer if needed. Brian, Mike and Jose did an excellent job. Very professional. I asked them if they would put the trimmings, cuttings, and brush that they cut in my garage and I would bring it to the dump so they would have more time for cutting and digging. They had no problem with that. That was a big help to me because I didn't want to get on a ladder to cut some of the plants and also don't have the strength to cut some of the branches and roots to remove the "jungle out there" I will definitely hire them again in the spring and would recommend them to everyone. So far, working with Ron has been a great experience. He shows up on schedule and does high-quality, thorough work. His prices are very good.

I had never used Topping Landscape before. There was an Angie's List special and I decided to give them a try. They did an excellent job. I got a call within a day to schedule the job. They showed up on time. Brian Topping confirmed what I wanted to accomplish. He and his helper worked very diligently and got a ton done. My yard looks dramatically better. They discovered an inground wasp nest (with at least 100 wasps) and took it out (thus saving me a call to an exterminator). I am very happy to recommend them and I would use them again.

They responded quickly which I was very pleased with, however they were unable to service my area so I found another local contractor to do the work.

Ron is excellent. I left him a voice mail and he got back to me within the same day. He came out two days later to go over the plan and give me an estimate. He and his crew came out on a Monday morning. I was amazed to see the transformation of my once overgrown jungle of a yard restored to a pristine site. I have had landscaping companies in the past but I must say that Ron and his crew have been the best so far. He even made costing cutting suggestions for my future project. I will be arranging with him to return for the next project. I even had a neighbor comment on what hard workers they are and the beautiful job they did!

I keep walking outside and looking around. The property looks better than it has for years, with weedy overgrowth and scraggly shrubs trimmed. They did more than I expected, and did it very well. I am delighted with the results. They trimmed, pulled weeds, and cut back overgrowth that was threatening to overwhelm part of the driveway.

It was not done in the timeframe that I was told. They did a good job trimming and a fair job with the re-seeding. I paid extra for seed and topsoil. When I mentioned that I didn't think they had done the 8 hours that I paid for, I was told that I paid for when they left their place of business and return time. I was not told that before. I think Angie's list should make that clear. I also think that it should be clear that Angie's list takes a substantial % for the listing. Perhaps I didn't read the fine print. Workers were pleasant. I would like you to add a "maybe" to the "would you use the provider in the future?" Interesting that when I try to copy and paste this so I will remember what I said, I am not able to do that.

My yard was looking more like a jungle after 4 months of neglect due to the birth of our first children (twins). I spent two weeks contacting several local landscapers - none of whom returned my calls or e-mails. I then contacted Ron of Topping Landscaping, who returned my call the same day. He came by the following day and gave me an estimate for the work required to clean-up and re-mulch my yard. His crew came out two days later and began the work. In one and one-half days they transformed my jungle of a yard into a wonderfully landscaped piece of property. All the work was first-class and attention as paid to every single detail. They even did a variety of extras such as removing an underground bee's nest (thank God I didn't have to do that myself!) and relocating / replanting a number of plants. They also added edging to areas that did not previously have it, which made my yard look even better. The crew made an extra effort to communicate with us so that we could give feedback as the work progressed - very useful and helpful! They also gave us numerous tips regarding maintenance and upkeep of the landscaping. I plan to have Topping Landscaping return in the spring to aerate my lawn and apply new seed.

I left a phone message with Topping Landscaping Sept 5, Ron called me back that evening, asked me to describe the work I wanted. I told him I had a strip of lawn that was all weeds and I wanted the weeds dug up so I could plant a new lawn. Ron said that type of work wasn't included in the special and I should call for refund.

We recently moved into a new place in Lexington. The front and the back of the house were seriously neglected by the previous owners. It looked like a jungle and the patio masonry was blackened and stained. I dreaded looking at it every morning. Ron responded quickly to my message and offered to come over on a Saturday morning to see it. He listened carefully to my requests and then made some excellent suggestions on what can be done with the place so that it both looks nice and is low maintenance. He emailed me the estimate and we agreed on a date a week later. Ron showed up with his crew early in the morning. Within an hour they've cut down the overgrown bushes, removed the stumps and began the work on the masonry. (washing, fixing and arranging loose stones, cleaning and filling the gaps). By the time I got back from work, I couldn't believe how beautiful my patio looked. It actually looked much better than my wife and I imagined it could look. The space has completely opened up. The original stone colors ware fully restored. Every stone was perfectly centered and the gaps neatly filed. The parts previously covered in overgrown vegetation were now clean, leveled and covered with fine mulch with a few stones carefully placed to both look nice and drain the water away from the house. Ron and his crew did a phenomenal job and I am really impressed with how detail oriented their work was!

There guys did a great job Would recommend to anyone looking to spend their weekends having some fun,rather than sheleping mulch all over the yard! We will be calling them next year. I can't tell you how great it feels to be sitting on my deck enjoying a cold one after a hard day of fun and not having to worry about raking edging...etc....

Topping Landscaping was great. They kept us informed on when they were going to stop by, and called ahead again shortly before to make sure we were there to give them access to the sprinkler system. Having just moved into our house, this was my first experience with sprinkler winterization, so I was thankful for their willingness to explain some of the details to me, especially on how to drain the interior pipe myself, so next year they won't require any access to the inside of the building at all; and also to leave the exterior valve open to vent during the winter. Overall, process was painless and affordable. Will use them again next year.

The work has all gone well. I've had Ron three years now and see no reason to go anywhere else. Prices are competitive and the work has always been done on time.
