Description of Work: I called and left a message to arrange a firewood delivery. They called me back immediately and scheduled a delivery day for the following week. I didn't receive the expected confirmation call the day before delivery, but when I called on the delivery day they did reconfirm. The driver was punctual and helpful. The wood quality is good.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. James has a day job, so deliveries were in the evening and on weekends, which was just fine. He's very personable, very straight-up kind of guy. He arrived about 15 minutes early both times, which was fine with me. With each delivery, he asked me where I wanted the load dropped, then put it exactly where I asked him. We've already spread much of the mulch, and it's regular stuff. Can't say too much about it, except that it was exactly what we wanted. I spent an hour stacking some of the firewood this evening, and it's nice stuff. No mold, no punky wood, just good solid hardwood. The ends are split, so I know it's nice and dry. (And for what others charge for the firewood, I feel like I got the mulch for free.)
Description of Work: For $300, I bought a cord of year-old air-dried firewood (mostly oak, with some maple, and a few sticks of other stuff). For $185, I bought four cubic yards of regular mulch ($40/yd, plus $25 delivery) Both were delivered to my driveway, where they were neatly deposited in a pile.

+ -1 moreExcellent. We called the company to get a quote. We agreed on time and day of delivery. We mentioned the fact that our wood insert could not take anything longer than 18". Jim delivered the cord of wood precisely the original day and time agreed upon. He also mentioned how he loaded his truck by hand in order to 1) get the smallest pieces, 2) ensure wood was free of debris and soil, and 3) wood was not crushed. We have not used it yet, but the wood appears in perfect condition: hard, seasoned and of the right lengths ( 14" to 18").
