Very pleasant and kind women returned my call in September and told me that they would not be able to deliver until after Thanksgiving due to poor weather backing them up. Not ideal, but I was understanding and she was so wonderful. I asked if there was any chance that the wood would not be delivered before Christmas and she scoffed at the thought of that saying something like "I'd quit my job if we can't get it to you before then" so I was at ease. Thanksgiving came and went, no call or anything so I called and was reassured that they would call in the next week or two to set up a date. Great! It is now the end of January and that call never came. I was really looking forward to working with this group, but as it seems the feelings are not mutual, I had to use a different firewood company. The reviews make it seem that this is not the norm and that is great news, but I guess I am one of the unlucky few.

Terrific. I ordered late, and he good folks at Eager Beaver were backed up on delivery dates, primarily due to wet fall (kiln dried wood doesn't like to go out in the rain). That said, wood was of the finest quality, very nicely cut and split, and the EB proprietors are a delight to work with. After one delivery I am a loyal customer.

Said that he would contact me when he could deliver wood to my home. Never heard from him.

It was awesome. It's nice hard, dry wood that starts easily and burns a long time. We'll definitely order it again.

Excellent. Wood cut to specifications, delivery and stacking was fabulous. Wood is excellent quality for wood stoves. Have used them for years and will continue to do.

The price a bit more. But well worth it. The best service and the best quality product out there. I didn?t use Bob one year. Boy did I regret it. I had to go through a load of wood that never caught fire, extremely frustrating, and not worth it. I?ll keep coming back to Bob since I know I can rely on his product. Service is always great too. Got a new delivery in time for the next deep freeze.

Excellent, Bob was easy to reach, told me that he'd be in contact in a few days and would do his best to get me on his schedule. I waited +/- 3 days as he said and we set up delivery for the next day. They showed up on time, stacked it in 25 minutes, and it was the most orderly stacking job I have ever seen too!

Excellent. Given my work schedule and Bob's trying to make his deliveries prior to the Christmas rush, it was a slight challenge to figure out a delivery time. We finally worked it out and Bob showed up exactly on the agreed upon time and he and his helper,Nick, neatly and quickly stacked the wood in my garage. Nice wood, with friendly and prompt service....Not sure I could do much better. He is a small businessman, and contacting him can take some time, so I would suggest you leave a message on his phone, and he usually gets back to you by the next day. Will definitely use him again and I highly recommend him.

Nothing happened. I had a conversation wiht the owner in October who said the wood would be delivered in early November and that I would receive a call prior so that I could leave a check. So far nothing has hapened. It woul be helpful to know if they ae coming one way or the other.

Bob was great. This is NOT the typical craigslist greenwood firewood scam. Nor is it the seasonal exploit of a landscaping company that happens to have a large truck and access to wood. Bob has his operation down to a science. Clean, kiln dried wood that burns hot and long. Evenly cut and delivered with kindling and starters. Only drawback was the high price, but its my own fault for waiting until late December to order. Cant say I blame them. Supply and demand.

He provided a great product and is just an all around nice guy. Very professional and friendly. He's really behind this year because of a firewood shortage and a huge increase in volume because of his great prices and positive reviews so you need to be patient since his response time is much slower than previous years. He and his product are worth the wait.

No response from bob mercer

These guys are great! They had a crazy busy schedule which is why "punctuality" got a B: but the emailed/called me to keep me in the loop as to when they'd arrive. My neighbor even ordered from them because they were so responsive when I set up the order. I was so impressed when the responded immediately to some questions I had - and I merely wrote them an email as it was Sunday - and within 15 minutes, I received a phone call to follow up on my questions! Fabulous!

I contacted the provider through Angie's list. He returned my call in just one day. The service was scheduled for the same week. The wood was piled beautifully and neatly on our wood rack and is of exceptional quality. We were also given at no extra cost firestarter wood. I will definitely contact Eager Beaver Firewood Company again - and I will be pleased to recommend them to my friends and associates - indeed I already have!

The wood starts easily and burns well. They could have/would have carried it way to the back and stacked it for not too much more money, but I was happy to get the exercise. Good transaction all-around.

After a little difficulty connecting (provided said he was having trouble with email account), we agreed on time for delivery. Delivery was on time, and included package of firestarters and kindling. While expensive, the wood burns very well, is clean (no bugs in the house) and comes in variety of sizes. Wonderful product for the occasional fireplace fire...too expensive for anything more than that.

I ordered one cord of firewood from Eager Beaver for delivery in November. The owner was polite & prompt with the delivery and included some fire starters complementary with the order. I would use them again.

As stated above - responded to my initial inquiry asking re: my location - then never responded again - multiple attempts to contact - I went elsewhere

I called Eager Beaver because they were highly recommended by a friend. It took me several tries to reach Bob, but once I did, he was very pleasant to talk to over the phone. He had asked me to send him an email with my firewood order. Once I did that (12/19/13), he emailed me back (12/21/13) asking for a good day/time. After replying to that email, I didn't hear back from him. I followed up on 1/2/14 and he said that he was very backed up due to the holidays and storms. That is quite understandable, but a quick email to let you know would have been appreciated.

They were slow at the delivery. I could have taken it sooner to beat the rush. There was quite a bit of time between initially contacting them and when it was delivered. I contacted him about 3-4 times and while he was apologetic it didn't seem to speed up the delivery as they were really busy. I would have preferred a more accurate idea on the delivery time-line. Other than that, they did a great job of stacking and were very efficient and the firewood is of good quality. I found their prices to be very reasonable as I looked at several others, which were about $100 more.

I thought the product was good. When he actually brought it to me, I was heavily satisfied with the level of service but he was very hard to schedule it. I ended up getting rescheduled a couple of times and it just kind of dragged on.

All good. Happy with service and quality. Price was competitive and they did a nice job stacking. Wood does not hiss so it is clearly kiln dried. I would order again
