Dave, DJ and Alison did a fantastic job. The walls were in horrible shape under the wallpaper, a big chunk of plaster even fell out. But Dave and co meticulously patched and sanded the walls to the point where they now look brand new! That was just the wall repair, the paint looks fantastic too! Flawless lines to the point where my wife doesn't want me to paint anymore. They are pet friendly, clean up after themselves, trustworthy and communicate if there's a problem or they are going to be late. Cannot say enough about them!

David & his team are such professionals - I was so pleased and will definitely use them again and again for all my painting projects. David did a great job removing wallpaper from old horsehair plaster - we live in an old Victorian house - he is very experienced, his quote was fair and thorough - and he warned me of what the potential pitfalls were in the in the job so managed my expectations very well. David also did the job under my deadline - we were living abroad and moving into the house and wanted the work done before we need in. He was flexible, trustworthy, and communicated well so that I was not worried even though we were discussing from a distance. He also guided me and helped with color selection. He knows his stuff.

We have used Dave's company since we moved into our home in 2013. Over the years, he has helped us with our interior projects and he just completed working on our exterior. He and his team are reliable and trustworthy. He treats your home as well as his own (which is beautifully painted). We have very open communication, via email, phone and in-person. Dave is readily available to answer questions. We highly recommend this local company!

David came out met with us told us he'd get back to us with a price, then never called !! Totally unacceptable and unprofessional....,

David was easy to work with and very responsive to all my requests. Throughout the entire process he kept me informed of additional work that might be required and the cost associated (he made sure this was ok with us prior to doing any additional work). It was clear David and his crew wanted perform high quality work and they did. We love the way the painting turned out The work was all completed within the time frame David gave, they cleaned up after, and we very easy to work with. I would highly recommend David Butler Painting and would happily use them again if we need more painting.

It went very well. Dave has done work for us over the years, doing a lot of interior painting, including woodwork in the living room, dining room and hallways. This time the family room needed painting, including the vaulted ceiling. We initially got the estimate late in the fall, but realized we had to do some work before, so by late February we were ready to go, and we called Dave that we were ready, and he put us back on the schedule. They moved the furniture, and paid attention to where I wanted hardware for shades to remain or go. They did well on some cracks and patch work.. They were very neat and efficient, and Dave made some suggestions that were helpful. They also had to match the woodwork stain on a new exterior door to other areas in the room where the stain was 20 years old. That came out well and so did the paint job. Dave Butler deserves his A rating.

The job went very smoothly. There was a good size hole in a ceiling that required repair and the repair on a sand finish is almost invisible. Punctual and cleaned up after each day and at the end of the job. Easy to communicate with and flexible.

We've used Dave for all of our painting projects since we moved into our house 3 years ago. He has done our kitchen, dining room, living room, upstairs hallway, and one bedroom in the last few years. Most recently he did our recently added mudroom, refinished a wall, and stripped the wallpaper on some very stubborn walls in a guestroom. He does quality work, is punctual, and very pleasant to work with. He completes projects on time and is extremely reachable through the whole process. I'd definitely recommend him to others.

I found him from Angie's List. I was pleased. I would recommend them. There's really nothing I can say bad about them. I would hire them again.

They did a great job. They are good painters. The owner was there and they were all very friendly and very good at what they are doing. They are recommended. They have good quality.

Dave and his crew did a really great job. It took a few weeks to get on his calendar, but he arrived when he said he would, and his crew were professional and courteous. I liked that they cleaned up at the end of each day. His quote seemed fair, and he did a good job of letting me know about the possible "unknowns" in the project. I'd definitely hire them again.

They were very good. They were able to finish everything in a couple of days. They were neat, cleaned up after themselves. The painting job was good.

His painting work has all been perfect. He has painted 3 rooms and parts of the outside of my house. NO slop, no mess, no stray drips--no mistakes at all. He and son DJ were there on time and ready.They did very close work by some woodwork without a slip. DJ stained a bunch of my Pella windows, and again, no little drips or smears. While all the above should be expected from any pro, Dave is also a very nice guy, and believe me, attitude can make a big difference in your experience.

Provider was very both responsive and punctual. Came out for a consultation and followed up as promised. I was initially worried that the job was "too small" as it was just a single room. Dave was very professional and personable, and the finished room looked beautiful! I highly recommend David J Butler for your painting projects!

A little long on time, but with all the "extra work" repairing the walls, and allowing the stuff to dry/cure, it wwas right on time it was a PLEASURE to have David, DJ ( son) Alllison in our house...... they are so neat, we almost want to hire them just to clean our house

We did like them. I think we will probably going to use them. He was prompt and he got back to us. I like his attitude when he came out. He was knowledgeable.

David and is son DJ are true professionals (arriving on time/dress/products used/clean and neat) and interaction with the family and our dog Both were a great help to my wife and I in selecting colors and what had to be done to prepare our 1920 horse hair plaster walls for paint. 4 good size rooms about 950 sq feet with 10 foot ceilings. It was for this reason and more, we are 99% sure that we will hire them to paint for us.. I can NOT mention in this short space all the NICE and positive things that I could say about Dave Butller, and his son DJ

It was good. They did a good job with the wallpaper removal in the kitchen. It took a little while to get the work scheduled. It was hard to schedule the work. Once everything was set up, they did an excellent job. It went remarkably well. The place looks terrific. All the workers did a fine job.

He was quick and efficient, and was was able to remove a border from another room the same day for a small added cost.

The job turned out to be a lot bigger than we expected, but Dave got it done within our budget. We had a lot of 40-year-old wallpaper that had to come down, and the original plaster underneath was in bad shape. Dave and his son DJ did a great job fixing the plaster issues and getting fresh paint up on the walls. Dave gave us good advice on design decisions like painting the crown molding white so there wouldn't be a gap showing. The house looks fantastic and we are completely thrilled with the new paint job. Most of the work was done before we moved in, but some had to be finished after we had moved. Dave did a great job working around our boxes and stuff. He also planned the painting so that everything was dry before our toddler got home from preschool, so that we didn't have to worry about keeping her away from the wet paint. Dave and his team did a fabulous job at a great price. We will definitely be calling them again when we're ready to work on the exterior of the house.

I had a wall paper I wanted removed from a downstairs bathroom. They came and looked at the job and they told me they would make a huge mess and they couldn’t remove it. I then asked about the upstairs bathroom wallpaper and he said he could not do it. I just never ended up using their service, I just decided to keep the wallpaper.

He is very reliable and trustworthy. I trust him in my home when I am not there and he is just so professional. I am always pleased with his work and I highly recommend them.

I hired him to paint my condo walls, baseboards and ceiling. I repeatedly called to make sure that he was going to come out on the set date we agreed on. A week before he was supposed to come out, he wouldn't return my phone calls. I left numerous messages on his voicemail. He then never verified whether or not he was coming out and never showed up on date we had contracted him to come out. I then had to find a new painter within 3 days, for work to be done on a contracted date.
