snow removal
+ -1 moreWhen it snowed for the first time this winter, they did not show up. I called and e-mailed several times over the course of the day. Finally, I got an e-mail response at the end of the day saying they were no longer in the snow plowing business. Now I am stuck without plow service at the start of the winter. Their behavior was extremely unprofessional and has left me in a significant bind. I would not trust to work with them again on any service.
Description of Work: In the Summer of 2012 I made an agreement with Daley for snow plowing of my 500ft driveway. I was pleased with the quote and Tom and his daughter Erin seemed very nice and trustworthy.

+ -1 moreALSO, MY HOUSE WAS BROKEN INTO IN AUGUST AND SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS OF JEWELRY STOLEN. THE POLICE SAID WHEN THEY INVESTIGATED THAT IT PROBABLY WAS SOMEONE WHO HAD RECENTLY STARTED DOING WORK FOR ME, BECAUSE THEY KNEW WHEN WE WEREN''T AROUND AND WHAT WINDOWS MIGHT BE UNLOCKED. THIS FIT THE DESCRIPTION OF SUSAN''S COMPANY, THOUGH IT WAS NOT PROVEN. I WROTE SUSAN A LETTER DETAILING MY COMPLAINTS (VERY RESPECTFULLY). TO DATE I HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE, EXCEPT ANOTHER BILL.
Description of Work: I CONTRACTED WITH SUSAN''S COMPANY LAST SUMMER TO PROVIDE WEEKLY YARD MAINTENANCE FOR MY HOME. WE AGREED THAT THE SERVICE WOULD BE WEEKLY, UNLESS I DECIDED TO CHANGE TO EVERY OTHER WEEK LATER IN THE SEASON. IN JULY, I CALLED TO CHANGE TO EVERY OTHER WEEK, WHICH THEY DID. BUT ON MY NEXT BILL, I WAS CHARGED $40/WEEK, AS OPPOSED TO THE $20/WEEK I HAD BEEN PAYING. WHEN I CALLED SUSAN TO QUESTION THIS, SHE SAID SHE HAD TO RAISE THE PRICE BECAUSE BUSINESS WAS BAD, AND SHE ALSO CLAIMED SHE HAD TOLD ME ABOUT THAT. I KNOW THAT SHE NEVER TOLD ME THAT THE PRICE WOULD GO UP, BECAUSE THAT''S SOMETHING I WAS SPECIFICALLY INTERESTED IN, AS I AM CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED.
