Charles Graham Masonry

Work was initially performed in Spring 2017. Price was competitive. Within one year, cracks in the brick walkway started to show up with some bricks became uneven. I contacted Charles early Spring 2018. He said he would come in November 2018 to fix the issues. He never showed up to fix anything. I contacted Charles again early 2019 since the granite steps are tilted. His response was "U have my words" but never come to fix. The problems have become worse.

Perfect. Did not seem like a lot of work but it was. Charles and his crew came in and did everything quickly in 2 days. Cleaned up completely after each day. These guys are professionals. Maybe I could have got someone cheaper and it would have taken a week to finish, but he did a perfect job in short time and he said it used better materials than it originally had.

Of 3 contractors selected from Angie's List for consideration only Charles visited prior to providing an estimate. The others based their bids on only photographs. During the initial visit Charles provided a detailed assessment of what was wrong and options for repair, as well as answering all questions. I immediately felt like Charles was someone I could work with. Charles made a second visit the day before the scheduled start to measure a second time. When the day came to do the job, Charles was punctual, personally on-site with 2 assistants. Work completed efficiently, with attention to detail, and the cleanup was like they'd never been there. Strongly recommended.

We contacted the company over the winter when our chimney started crumbling. Once the weather was warm enough, we were contacted right away to set up a date to replace the chimney. His price was lower than the others we checked (even before the Angie's List discount). They arrived promptly at 7am and were gone before we even got home from work at 3:00. No mess was left at all. New chimney looks perfect. Thank you for an excellent job!

Charles came soon after I called to look at the stairs & gave me a date that they were able to do it. It went very well. They arrived early & worked steady for 4 - 5 hours. They had to remove the railings & come back the next day to put them back. The step looks beautiful & we are very pleased. Would highly recommend.

Charles was timely with his estimate and was even able to fit me in before putting my house in market so it looked super in time for pictures. Him and his team arrived early and were right to work, not even spilling any residue on my driveway. We were very pleased and wished we had done it a while ago.

Charles Graham and his crew arrived promptly as scheduled. They erected scaffolding around the chimney and then proceeded to remove the existing concrete cap and one layer of brickwork. The crown was replaced with two levels of brick masonry protected by a concrete surface on the top around the two chimney flues. All of the work was completed, the scaffolding removed and the area around the chimney cleaned that day. The final appearance of the chimney is excellent.

They did a fire place resurfacing. The quality of work was really good. I had no issues with them.

Charles did an excellent job on everything. He was very thorough and the chimney looked like new afterwards. He was also very personable and great to work with. We'd highly recommend him for other masonry work.

Charles was on time and took one look at the chimney and said it was in good condition. He didn't try to convince us that we needed to hire him to make some unnecessary repairs.

Everything from the beginning to the end was great. He was the best referral that I have ever received from Angie's List. He arrived when he said that he would arrived and everything was completed on a first class level. He went above and beyond all expectations. I just cannot say enough good things about the guy. He was very helpful in every way that he could.

I am writing to commend the work done by Charles and his team to rebuild a bad Chimney this Summer. I had first contacted Charles about trying to repair the Chimney (which he showed up personally on a Sunday morning to review the situation and provide a bid). After talking it over with my husband and considering that the repair was most likely just temporary, we asked Charles for a bid to replace the entire Chimney to address the situation in a more permanent manner. While the project turned out to be more expensive than we originally planned, Charles gave us a very fair quote to replace the entire Chimney so we went ahead and hired him for the work. He and his men started the job on the date agreed upon and worked in the hottest weather of the entire Summer! They were punctual, neat and polite. I even offered to run to buy them donuts/iced coffees and they declined saying they had brought their own coolers - who doesn't say yes to free food or drinks these days?? SO polite. It was so hot I brought them Gatorades anyway! They finihsed the job in a timely manner, on schedule, as quoted and with minimal disruption to the landscaping. I would HIGHLY recommend Charles and his team to anyone considering any Chimney or Masonry work.

20+ years ago I had to cover the front stairs with brick and had custom railings made. 10 years later they were repaired again and blue stone treads were added. The railings didn't really fit and were not used. I was refinancing my house and at the last minute the bank wanted railing on the stairs. I signed up on Angie's list late on a Friday afternoon and called a few people, Charles called back soon and came out the next morning to give an estimate. He said he could try to put the railings on, but the steps needed repair again. They would crack again and weren't to code. He recommended replacing them and doing the job correctly. I needed them done by the next Friday in order to close on the loan. They worked very hard and got them done on time, despite the heat and rain. The stairs look awesome, the attention to detail was excellent and the railings look great. The stairs will outlast the house. Money well spent. Angie's List worked.

Charles Graham was driving his company vehicle and failed to yield at posted yield sign. Almost caused extreme accident. I called number on truck and talked with Charles himself, the driver of the truck. Identified myself as truck he almost hit due to his failure to yield. Charles proceeded to tell me where to go using the most profane language available. I think this man is a low life and has very poor character. Think long and hard before you hire someone who would drive so recklessly in their company truck, while towing a large trailer, and then be so vulgar when confronted about his own poor judgement.

Job was done well. Charles corrected mistake made by Masonry who ordered the incorrect bricks. He basically did the job twice to ensure that I was happy.

Charles was honest and great about setting up an appoinment. He does not charge an estimate fee either which we appreciated.

So happy to have found Charles! He came out in the POURING rain to give us a quote, did fantastic work at a great price and was extremely professional. I highly recommend Charles and look forward to working with him on more projects!

I called and Charles answered. Was very friendly and professional, didn't act like he was in a rush to go or to schedule work. We have a chimney that mysteriously the prior homeowner poured cement down and we're wondering if it's repairable, or if the chimney would need to be rebuilt. He had some great suggestions how to see how much cement was poured and also recommended if it wasn't too much, that we'd need a new liner (even though he doesn't do liners). I'm very appreciative of the few minutes he spent with me and would call him again.

Our chimney has cracks and has caused the ceiling to leak when it rains. We started calling masonry last year to have it done, but could not decide whether we should re-point or re-build. Many wonderful contractors gave us estimates. However, we also encountered an "A-rated" contractor John, who did not return my call but claimed he told me about the price while seeing my negative review on Angie's List. The truth is that he considered the job "too small" for him. In contrast, Charles has exceeded our expectations. He has returned my and my husband's calls very promptly, explained to us how the job would be done, waited for our decision (which took a year) very patiently and did the job efficiently. On top of the fabulous job, he also managed to pay special attention not to touch the garden while doing the chimney work. I could not say enough good words about him - so professional, hard working and easy to communicate. So, don't go to John, go to Charles!
