This is the second big project I have done with Affordable Landscape and they executed this work efficiently and effectively I asked them to give me ideas for a patio and fire pit … final product is a genuine backyard oasis for my family and I to enjoy. They offered creative ideas in their design as the lot wasn’t the easiest to work with. Description of Work: Lisa & Greg removed old block wall on one side of my above ground pool and installed a new block wall around three sides of my pool. They removed old damaged asphalt walkway and installed new block paver walkway from my driveway over to my back deck stairs with installing new granite steps. Installed drainage piping from gutter down spouts underground away from house foundation. Installed underground piping from pool filter area out to behind my shed for hiding residue from back-flushing my DE pool filter. Worked carefully around my new (1 yr old) heat pump pool heater without disturbing its location. Removed old lawn on side and back of my house that moss had overtaken due to my neglect over many years. Brought in new loam and graded new surface away from house while evening out overall lawn in those areas. Installed two new irrigation zones. Searched & found hard to find stone to match existing stone, finding exact match from supplier 1-1/2 hours away. Overall Very Plleased.

They also involved me in any significant decisions that needed to be made, which was great. I’m so pleased with the end product. We finally have an outdoor space that we can use and enjoy!
Description of Work: We got a new walkway leading into the backyard and a large patio. Lisa and Gary also connected me with a fencing company to fence in my yard. They also worked great with the contractor who was working on my porch steps.

Lisa spent a full 90 minutes with me the first time I met her walking me through the design process, what would work best in the space that I was working with, initial pricing options and timelines. When it came time to actually do the project, I was very happy with the results. So happy in fact I got a bid to completely overhaul my front yard from her as well! I would definitely recommend using this company. I know I will again in the future.

We are doing a major renovation including removal of two sheds, removal and install of a new fence, built a retaining wall with lights, removed countless shrubs and trees and hauled it all away. They take my ridiculous ideas and photos and make it happen. They guide you in a logical way to get your biggest bang for your buck. I look forward to finishing our project in the spring! My irrigation system had been unused for years; they added some new lines and heads, got the sprinklers up and running and tied-in with my new well. The grass is coming in beautifully and my yard looks amazing. My neighbors tell me they're jealous. For 15+ years I've hired Affordable Landscaping for numerous jobs, including: building a patio with fire pit, building front and back walkways and a backyard play area, Spring & Fall clean-up, mowing, and installing plantings around my yard. They actually seem to care about doing quality work, which is not always seen these days. They do a job the 'right' way, not the 'cut-corners' way.

Since due to COVID she had an enormous amount of work and sensing that I was a reasonable DIYer, she felt strongly that I could finish the job myself (adding the polymeric sand between brick pavers). She spent a great deal of time on the phone with me describing exactly what to do and where to buy materials. I'm very grateful and will surely call Affordable Landscaping for other future work.

+ 3 moreAffordable Landscaping built a patio with fire pit and a walkway that connects the patio with my back deck. They excavated sections of my back and side yards, removing bushes, shrubs, stumps, a couple of small trees, and graded the newly excavated areas. Their irrigation division rerouted existing sprinkler lines around the new patio and added a several new sprinkler heads to areas not previously irrigated. They re-graded portions of an old brick walkway. Finally, they dug up and removed an old, moss-covered patio. All this work was completed in just three days. The owners helped guide my decision-making during the patio/walkway design phase, and the end results have exceeded my expectations. My patio, walkway and the newly excavated areas of my yard look incredible. I will be hiring this company again for any future improvements I plan to make to my property.

They also ripped out the front steps and replaced them with granite steps and made a walkway similar to the patio. They are also going to landscape in the fall. The patio they removed was installed by them about 12 years ago. As you can see we are repeat customers and will use their services for all of our landscape and hardscape needs.

From the initial estimate to completion of the project, communication was very good, the work was very well done, and it all finished on schedule. We are extremely happy with how everything turned out and would definitely consider hiring them again for any upcoming projects. We give them an A++.
Description of Work: We needed to replace a 50-foot wooden retaining wall, a brick front stoop, wooden steps, and a rotted light pole. The wall was replaced with a tumbled concrete block wall, the stoop with a granite slab, the wooden steps with granite steps, and the wood pole with a granite pole.
