Servpro of Beverly/Cape Ann

Servpro came to my house to give me an estimate for mold remediation in my attic. After I received the original estimate of $1,014 it took 4 phone calls just to schedule them to do the work. After the work was completed I had to CALL THEM to send me a final invoice. That final invoice was $5,200... more than FIVE TIMES the original estimate. I asked them for a detailed estimate of how they came to that number and now, 3 months later, I am still waiting for it. They since took $1,200 off that final cost but that still isn't enough. I should have been provided a new estimate once they knew it was going to be more. Servpro then had the nerve to ask me for a review, so here it is... BUYER BEWARE! Just for the record, Don and Angel (the two guys that did the work) were very professional and knowledgeable, they just have a terrible support staff.

It was a Sunday. I called Servpro because they had cleaned our house when we first moved in. Tony Lagrassa called me right back and arranged to come the next day. He worked with the insurance company to mitigate the water damage, ensured that we had no mold, and was as conservative as possible in the demolition that had to be done, which turned out to be some walls, baseboard and door trim, and also some hardwood flooring that had to be removed. I am not sure of the cost, because he dealt directly with the insurance company. Also, Tony was very professional in his attitude; I was very upset by the whole experience but he patiently explained what they needed to do in order to make sure everything would be completely dry.

A clog in our cleanout pipe caused all of our wastewater to back up into the basement. The problem continued for several days without our knowledge, so the sewage was a few inches deep by the time we discovered it. We called ServPro that evening, hoping someone could help us within a few days. Not only did Tony call back right away, but he offered to start the job that night. He worked several hours into the evening to get the decontamination started, and returned the next day to continue the process. A few days later he returned again to haul away the contaminated appliances (heavy lifting on a cold, windy, rainy day). Despite the unpleasant work he was professional, sympathetic, energetic, responsible, and effective at every step. He turned a disaster into... well, it was still a disaster but he made it bearable. What a relief. By the time he and his crew were finished, there was no sign (or smell) of the mess. And somehow he did it all with and quot;greenand quot; chemicals! Tony is a great guy with a great attitude. Highly recommended. Note: this review indicates and quot;n/aand quot; for price because insurance (less deductible) covered the services.

Mr. LaGrassa was prompt, very knowledgeable and professional in all aspects of the job. The finished results exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend Mr. LaGrassa.

Tony Lograssa arrived promptly the day after I called him. He was very knowledgable and explained our problem in great detail.I would not hesitate in calling him again or referring Tony to our friends for services. He explained that our home is built on a ledge and the part of the ledge that was left in the little basement bedroom is causing our problem. He offered us many solutions, which we are taking into consideration.
