"We are terribly sorry that [member name removed] was not happy with the services we provided to his parents. The job was rushed as we were unable to make an appointment(s) any sooner due to the client's schedule. We were very mindful of what we were to pack and took direction from clients on what to pack, what to donate and what to leave for staging purposes. If things were packed prematurely, we did so, with the approval of the client. We always work one on one with our clients so we can comply with their wishes and anticipate their future needs. In retrospect, perhaps [member name removed] could have played a more active role and given us an inventory of what to pack and what to leave out before the actual move. We prefer more lead time with our clients so we can provide optimum service and when there is not enough time, we still are up to the challenge and usually exceed our clients' expectations. Hello Amy,
On behalf of all of my family, I just want to say thank you for all the help and support you were to my 94 year old mother in her physical move to Goddard House in Brookline. Never in a million years would I sign up to be a move coordinator for the geriatric set (it's like being a wedding planner...yikes!) but YOU ARE TOTALLY AMAZING! With your colleague, Cynthia, you made what could have been a nightmare into a (relatively speaking) pleasant and pretty much uneventful event!
Now we know this is your business and things-are-supposed-to-go-seamlessly. But with a woman who is 94, someone truly set in her ways, you really do have to expect the unexpected. But you coordinated everything: the inventory of what Mom had, the review of her new apartment, the placing of the furniture and pictures, guiding us and her in what to keep and what to toss or sell, hiring the movers, engaging the people to clean up afterwards, and on and on. All of this happened at what my entire
family concluded was at a truly affordable price. But beyond the mechanics of the move, the center of it all (with great respect to
Cynthia's help) was you, Amy: sensitive, warm, full of life, laughing and always of great humor, attentive to the most minute details, considerate beyond all measure, available always, and absolutely reliable. To reach the level of professionalism and quality that you exude reminds me of a quote from the great vaudevillian, Eddie Cantor: "It takes twenty years to create an overnight success!" Now I know you haven't been at it for twenty years but you perform as if you had. I have one suggestion, if I may offer it. When you give someone your business card, you should have (of course your company's name address and contact information etc.) the following written on the card someplace: "CONSIDER IT DONE." Because that's you!
Need I say more? I do: Cynthia needs some praise too: We could not have done the move without her help, also. She sat with Mom for four days getting rid of clothes and other things Mom would not need at Goddard House. We all had tried to do some of that prior to meeting Cynthia but were unable to get rid of anything. Cynthia knew the space limitations at Goddard House and made sure that Mom didn't take too much, especially kitchen items. Mom and Cynthia really bonded, making all the decisions even easier. Cynthia was patient, but firm. She knew when Mom was tired, and left saying she'd be back another day when Mom wasn't so tired. How she got through everything, I don't know, but we really appreciated all that Cynthia did.
