+ -1 moreHe came out and gave me an estimate within a few days. Quoted me a price and told me when he'd be able to do it (within 10 days). He came out, started and completed the job in the window he gave me. Price was what he'd quoted me on. He cleaned up after himself. Work was excellent. I'll be using him again. He's fair, easy to get a hold of...great to talk to.
Description of Work: Rebuilt Chimney and flashing.

+ -1 moreA person's word is very important. When they blow you off without a call or explanation it is so frustrating and discouraging.
Description of Work: He came out to view our project. He came highly recommended. He told us he would build our fireplace . When it came time for him to begin, we called him countless times and he never returned our calls. This left our project at a standstill while we scrambled to find another Mason . We lost a couple weeks of momentum due to his lack of professionalism .

+ -1 moreThe project at this point has not gone well at all. I spent a fair amount of time getting three estimates and have already let the other two know I was using someone else. I don't understand what happened since he came so highly recommended, and was very responsive up until last week. As of September 6, still have not heard from them. UPDATE Sept 20, 2013: As of this date have never heard from Matt Halloran, so downgraded professionalism to "C". I don't understand why he never got back to me even to say he couldn't do the work. I would suggest not wasting time getting an estimate from Halloran Masonry since it turned out to be a big waste of my time and set my project back by weeks finding someone else.
Description of Work: Matt promptly came out for a walk around and followed up with a written proposal and estimate which I accepted. He was supposed to start work Wed Aug 14th, but he did not come or call. He has not answered emails or phone messages. I don't know what happened.

Description of Work: Replaced front steps and walkway to the house with granite for the steps and pavers for the walkway. A reconstruction of the steps with new cement pouring was also required prior to placing the granite steps.
