Description of Work: My freezer (as part of a fridge/freezer) stopped working over the weekend and At Your Service got good reviews so I gave a call. The owner called me back on Sunday and scheduled an appointment for Monday afternoon. (I was hoping for an earlier appointment but he had already gotten booked up.) He was prompt, and very nice. He diagnosed the issue (faulty freezer compressor hardware--required a new electronic part) and was able to replace it easily. (He asked for the product info in advance to ensure he would have the right parts with him.) There was also a lot of ice buildup in the freezer (which I recall led to the compressor failing) so he had to melt a lot of the ice out; he asked for towels to help soak up the water (which I had available). As the ice was melting and he was standing around in the kitchen, he offered me some helpful tips to keep my other appliances working well. The cost was high, but I wasn't surprised by the cost given that it was an electronic part; it was certainly better than shopping for a new fridge! I would definitely use At Your Service again.

Description of Work: Installed garbage disposal in kitchen. Generally went well, but did not replace rubber flaps at top of disposal after cutting out the old ones.

Description of Work: The service man was able to come to our home a few days after I called to arrange an appointment, and arrived on time. He repaired our refrigerator, and the problem was resolved. He also did a small repair to the stove. I would certainly call him again.

Description of Work: I think got overcharged for a dryer fuse?? and replaced vent i couldn't figure out where the Angie list 20% discount was. cost 188.00 for fuse 50.00 for hose comes to 238.00 less angie discount 14.00? should be 20% (should be 190.40) i got screwed

Description of Work: Paul tested the washing machine which had overflowed - perhaps technically he didn't do a repair, but he did a thorough diagnostic testing on it and told me that the machine was just fine and that I had a plumbing problem. He was very professional and acknowledged that his expertise is limited to large appliances and not plumbing.

Description of Work: Extremely prompt and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly and presented me with the solution and price. Explained everything clearly. He fixed the dryer on the spot. Cleaned up after himself and gave me some extra information on both the dryer and washer

Description of Work: It cost $220 but I used an Angie's list coupon and got $60 off. Paul came within hours of my calling him, figured out what was going on, ordered the obscure part from my house and promised to be back early next week at the latest. In fact he came back the next day with the part and installed it. He also, out of his own curiosity and helpfulness, took a look at a couple of other appliances (dishwasher and fridge) and did some quick spot maintenance for free. So this was about the most perfect appliance experience I've had -- thank you to Angie's List and to Paul.

Description of Work: Our freezer compressor was a block of ice because the thermostat had stopped working. Paul defrosted the freezer, installed a new thermometer, and put the whole thing back together.

Description of Work: There was a problem with the freezer which was fixed by At Your Service Repairman. I would use this company again for future appliance service needs.

Description of Work: He repaired the fan in my freezer which was clogged with ice, fixed the water and ice dispenser and assured me that I did not need a new compressor which would have meant a new refrigerator. He was prompt, friendly, explained everything and an extremely pleasant person to do business with. I highly recommend him.
