Mike was professional, informative and pleasant to deal with. He provided a complete home inspection from basement to attic to advise us if we had any other issues. He provided information on pest deterrents. We bought the eight month bee extermination package. Applying the discount thru Angies list brought the cost of the package to $315.00. The best part was having an immediate treatment.

It went very well. It was my first time using the company, and Tim did a great job. He took a look around the house and spent time in the basement looking for signs of trouble. He pointed out a few areas where moisture was getting into the house, and he took care of those for me, as well. He was pleasant to deal with and very professional, and he did not try to sell me on things I don't need. I would recommend his services to others.

I had them for years, but when I asked for further service for an unresolved problem, for the first time ever, I was told they could do no more for me and to get a new company. I liked the company but did not like the revolving door of servicemen. Some were fabulous and some were just OK. Another person called a couple of months later to schedule a routine service check. I was flummoxed and told them that I had hired another service since someone there "fired" me a couple of months before. Despite wanting to work with D&T, I had already hired (and paid) another company. The other company, A J Williamson Pest Control, is working out very well. I like the fact that there is continuity with the person who comes to the house. He knows the property and does not have to ask where to begin.

This is the first review I've written on Angie's List, but I had to make it known how fantastic this company is. We started getting these little tiny springtail bugs in our bathroom sink, so we found this company (just from Google) to come take a look. D&T ended up being the best choice we could make. They called us back the same day as our request, and set up an appointment for the following week. I couldn't believe how fast the whole process went. Since the service, I have not seen ONE bug in our bathroom. To top it off, D&T actually found an active colony of termites outside our house. (Not good news) but I am so grateful we were able to treat that situation as well. D&T ended up spraying our entire house and getting rid of the termites. They literally saved our house! I would recommend them to anyone in the area. I unfortunately did not get to meet the owner, but my boyfriend did and thought he was professional, kind, and extremely diligent.

Received a quote quickly. When I called the office to pay for the service, the woman was informative and friendly. Someone came to spray the following day and he was also friendly. Would definitely recommend them.

I'm very pleased. We just bought a new home and this was my first experience with D & T. They were prompt, polite, and made sure I understood the program and the options available. Our new home is out in the country. Their platinum program is several visits a year and covers bees nest removals even in our field.

D&T was great to work with. Our neighbor pointed out a large hornet nest, about the size of a basketball, on the side of our house that we had somehow never noticed. I called D&T around 5:30 that night and reached an answering service. I received a call back from D&T within a couple of hours and they made an appointment to come by the house the next day. They also removed a small inactive nest that was behind the second floor shutters that we weren't able to reach ourselves. Very professional and happy with the service we received. Would definitely use them again if needed.

I had the unfortunate need to call an exterminator recently due to a serious onslaught of carpenter ants. Surprisingly enough my experience with D&T Pest Control was far, far exceeding my expectations. Not only were they attentive to my needs, but were surprisingly punctual in their timing of returning phone calls/emails as well as their appointments. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner himself who came out to follow up with me; he was very polite, educational and thorough. I even felt comfortable leaving him in my home alone to complete the treatments. I would recommend D&T to all of my family/friends and co-workers without any qualms. Superior pest control at a very reasonable rate.

D&T Pest did a wonderful job of keeping me informed of the service and what needed to be done to control the ants and mosquito's in my yard. I tried pesticides from the home center which did not do the trick to rid of the ants that were damaging my yard. D&T responded promptly to my email, gave me a no hassle price and came out on time and on schedule to do the work. I was impressed when they came we were expecting heavy rain and the technician recommended I hold off on the application so that it wouldn't wash away. They came back and applied everything yesterday and left a note stating that they had been there to do the work. Clean and professional company I would highly recommend them!

We just bought a new home and my paranoia of anything with more than two legs (along w/ a few dead bees found in my living room) prompted me to call D&T for advise. They sent out a gentleman who was so incredibly educated on all things 'pest' and he walked the whole house with me. He told me what packages were available and did not push anything on me. He explained the process, the chemicals used, and let me follow him around asking all kinds of questions. Since we have moved in I have not been bothered by anymore bees, They are coming back today to check the mice traps and as always are very prompt and helpful! So glad I chose them....

We had carpenter ants show up in February and Tim and D&T came and treated inside. Later, without having to call, they came and treated outside and followed up with a second treatment inside. No more ants. Service was great and punctual and I am very satisfied with the price. When I asked if I should have an annual follow up, Tim said that was not necessary unless we see another ant. The big companies would have sold that to me when it is not necessary. I am very happy with D&T and would use them again if needed.

They come every year and do a great job. They come on time every year. Nothing bad to say about them and would recommend them.

They always do a great job. They come about every 6 months and has a great guarantee. They are professional and polite. There are never insects in our home since using this provider. I have recommended them before and I would continue recommending them.

It went well. Needed to leave house for two hours so they could exterminate. Bees were gone and house smelled fine. Just had to remove dog food before it was done. They only issue was that we never received Angie discount as stated on website. Paid full price. Disappointing even after I mentioned i was an Angie list member.

Exterminator showed up on time, and explained what he was doing and why.

I was awoken by a bat at 3 in the morning. Checking online, I found D and T Pest Control with 24 hour service. I called and spoke to the answering service, who said someone would call me back. I called again an hour or so later and was once again told that someone would call me back. I finally received a call once the office opened for the day. I spoke with Monica who told me, "If there is a bat in the house, he (the technician) will find it." The tech came, looked through my house and told me that the bat was gone. (I had left the bedroom windows open in the hope that it would fly out.) Note: a couple of weeks later Monica told me it could take days or weeks to find bats in the house. I reminded her of what she had told me prior to taking my money and she didn't have a reply. The following night, I was on the phone when I saw a shadow moving in the hallway. I shut myself in the room I was in and called D and T Pest. I got the answering service, but thought since it was 8pm there was a chance that I would get a call back. I called the answering service a total of three times, never receiving a call back. I called the office at about 7:30am and told them the bat was still in the house. I then found the bat hanging on the hallway wall and called again. They sent someone out promptly to grab the bat. Two days later, I awoke at 5am and heard noises in my bedroom. I called the answering service, and then I remembered that I had a cell number for the tech. So, knowing that I wouldn't hear back through the answering service, I waited until a decent hour, and called the tech directly who came in a reasonable amount of time and removed the second bat. I will mention that I found the office staff difficult to work with, although Tom, one of the owners, has an easier manner if you can get through to him). The tech discovered that the bats must have been getting in where the flashing had separated from the chimney. He said that I needed to do a bat exclusion for $900. I would not be charged the $175 for the first bat since they didn't find it the first time they came to the house. The charge for the second bat was $325 due to it being a Sunday. I set a date for the bat exclusion and then cancelled and rescheduled. I was told that because I had cancelled and rescheduled, I would now be charged the $175 for the first bat since I "was no longer under contract". I had never signed a contract so I don't understand how I was under contract one day and not a couple of days later. I ended up having the hole filled in because I did not want bats getting in over the weekend. (Which I now know was not a good idea.) When I spoke to the tech when rescheduling, I asked if he would still be able to find a place to put a cone (which allows bats to fly out but not back in) and he said "definitely." So, the exclusion was to include looking over the house and filling any and all exterior spaces as well as installation of the cone(s). Then, for an additional $300, they would put mesh around the two metal "caps" that top the flues. (A roofer told me a few days later that one of the caps was of a type that made it already bat proof because of a plate on the bottom of it, but I guess the techs were unaware and did that one, too.) During the exclusion, they could not find a place to put the cone, even though that was what I was paying for in part with the $900. (They collect payment up front prior to the work being done). Then it turned out that it was quite easy for them to remove the metal caps (one of the techs commented on how unusually easy it was.) On their admission it took them 30 minutes total to do that part of the job for which I was charged $300. On an earlier visit, the tech told me how important it was for me cover the opening of the fireplace. I hired someone to help me to secure it. The tech had told me it was extremely important that I caulk a section where the decorative wooden frame met the brickwork of the fireplace surround. I placed tape over that section, even though two other people told me there was no way a bat could get in that way and one called it "dead space." Part of what I did to secure the fireplace was to place a large plastic sheet over the opening. One evening I noticed it moving and was quite startled thinking bats were behind it. At some point I noticed it seemed to be billowing. How could that be? I had asked the tech if he had closed the damper after he looked up the chimney and he said that he had. D and T sent another tech out because I didn't want to find out on my own if there were bats bin the chimney. Not only did he discover that the other tech had left the damper open (and this after telling me to be sure to secure the area) but the new tech told me that there was no way that a bat could come through the area where the wood trim meets the brick. So, it turns out the non-bat people who told me that had been correct and the first tech (who had been responsible for leaving the damper open) had been wrong. Needles to say, we had to remove the barricade that I had paid someone to help me put in place so the tech could check the damper. Not only was the damper left open, but a couple of days after the "bat exclusion" a roofer noticed a tile that was caulked only have way around, leaving a gap wide enough for a bat to come through. Since this tile was underneath one of the metal caps that the techs worked on, they really should have noticed if they were intent on making my house secure. I was told that they would go over every inch of the house, but I guess not. I spoke to Tom, the co-owner about the fact that I was overcharged because 1. No cones were installed although I was told that a cone would definitely be installed 2. I was charged an additional $300 for 30 minutes of work, part of which didn't even need to be done 3. Since they left the damper open and missed the half caulked tile, there was no way for me to feel that they had done the job they said they would do when I hired them to do the exclusion. He agreed to reimburse me $150. He said the he would have reimbursed me the $300, but I had booked an appointment, cancelled and rescheduled. Therefore, that cancellation cost me the $175 that they told me they weren't going to charge me because they didn't find the bat the first time they came to my house, plus half of the $300, for a whopping total of $325. One expensive cancellation!! I also asked Tom if the techs earn commission, since it is they who set the prices. He said no, that they get paid hourly. Either the techs are taking over payment for less time worked and using the time as free time, or the company is reaping double payment for the over estimation of time allowing them to get paid for one job that finishes early and then get paid for time at another job, some of the time of which was already covered by the previous job. The tech knew that I was totally freaked out by the fact that there were bats in my house, and I do feel he used that to his advantage. The expense, the fact that the office staff is less than pleasant to work with, and the fact that they missed areas when doing the exclusion, and that out of about 7 calls over 3 different days I never received a call back from messages left with the answering service, result in my being unable to I recommend this company.
