Chuck came right out and gave me a quote on the spot and then a couple days later his crew came and made the repair. I am sure the job was very small compared to what they normally do so really appreciate them getting back to me, providing a fair quote, and doing quality work so fast. The roof was patched and I no longer have a leakage problem, I provided the wrong Shingles which were used unfortunately, and as a result the finished look is relatively poor, The company was very responsive and if they had the correct materials I'm sure the job would have been more than satisfactory. I need to remember it was a patch not a new roof. Try them, they came out between rain storms and fixed my leak.

Cook's put a new roof on our house. They were great throughout the whole process. Just got our final inspection from the building inspector, and he made a point of telling me multiple times that they did a really good job.

Took a while to get scheduled, but they showed up on the promised date, and got almost everything on the hit list done in a day. One return visit to deal with two minor problems that were handled quickly and without drama.

They did great! Good job! They are quick, clean up after themselves and I'm very satisfied. They also gave me discounts.

Mr. Cook responded promptly to my request for an estimate on my roofing job. He arrived as promised and provided a very thorough and fair estimate for the work requested, which was re-roofing the house, a garage, an addition and a shed, adding a 27' section of gutter to my garage and replacing two skylights in my addition. He was professional and personable, as well as very knowledgeable. The estimate he provided was complete and fair. In addition, he provided a list of homes he had roofed (with shingle colors) so that I could get a good idea of the color in actual lighting conditions. I was very pleased with his interaction and have no doubt as to his capability. Unfortunately, you can only hire one firm and I opted for a different company but you should contact him for an estimate on your job. He is well established and would be competitive.

They got the job done. The price seemed a little bit high. The gutter is not dripping. They had to come back twice, they didn’t finish it the first time.

Very pleased. I evaluated three companies, one a local, one very large, and Cooks a midsize independent. None were franchise/broker types. I selected Cooks based upon quality of products they would use. Cooks was middle on price quote. My situation was difficult because I was facing major surgery and needed the work done within four weeks before the end of September, a very busy time for roofers. Ken Cook the owner and his office manager Nancy were very accommodating and got the job done in time. It took one day for the roofing and a day the next week for the gutters. Cooks sent different crews (both Latino) for the two jobs and both were very efficient and neat. They were very experienced and knew exactly what they were doing.

They damaged my roof and did not fix the leak. Then they never came back. Then they sent me a bill which I did not pay. I asked them to come back to fix the roof before I would pay them.

Very well. The estimate was provided by the owner and included a check of our roof ventilation (important to avoid ice damming). It was very detailed and Ken quickly answered my only remaining question. The crew was on time and worked quickly, finishing the roof and cleaning up in less than 2 days. The gutters were installed the following week by a separate crew. The price was in the middle of the 3 bids we solicited. The low bidder would have probably done a good job also, but Cook's estimate was much more complete so we felt that we understood all of the materials and methods to be used.

We had a wonderful experience with Cook's Roofing Company. Mr. Cook was extremely helpful, honest and thorough in explaining all the different options available to us. He and his team were respectful and professional the entire time they were working. The crew arrived on time & at the end of each work day the crew cleaned up their supplies and roofing debris. The job was completed efficiently and on time. We would highly recommend Cook's Roofing.

Excellent. He (Ken the owner) came out to estimate the work, he looked in the attic, let me know I had poor airflow, and could fix the situation, along with replacing the over 30 yr old roof, the crew came when they said they would. They were very professional, and did an excellent job, even the clean up afterward I was impressed with.

I went with Ken because of all the roofers I spoke to, he was the only one that wanted to address my concern about attic ventilation. All of the other roofers just wanted to slap shingles up. Ken, on the other hand, actually looked inside the attic and came up with a plan to get better ventilation in the attic. With the winters we've been having, I wanted better ventilation to help mitigate any issues with ice dams. His plan was to open up the soffit along the whole front and back sides of the house and put in a perforated material to allow much more ventilation than the small vents every 8 or so feet that I had. Ken also had no problem pulling back the siding by the dormer windows and shed dormer because there was no flashing. I even asked Ken if he could go overkill and use 12' of ice and water barrier from the bottom of the roof. All of my concerns were addressed and I felt comfortable letting Ken's crew do the work. I am pleased with the work done. The roof/skylight was complete in one day, but everything else took a little longer than expected. I had asked to have the siding by the dormers to be pulled back so that flashing could be put in place. I had issues with leaking by the dormer windows because there was no flashing. However, apparently my siding was a non-standard size and had to be special ordered. This delayed the process for a bit. Now the work is complete, and I'm happy everything turned out great!

After calling his office, Mr. Cook came out promptly to inspect and advise us. He installed our roof in 2006 during an emergency situation and we were so impressed with his work and professionalism then that we did not hesitate to ask him now (we also tried other companies because there was more on the outside to do but they did not return our calls). Fortunately he found nothing wrong with the roof itself and no water damage, we did need very minor carpentry work (fascia board) and as we had to do exterior painting at the same time, it was decided that the painting company would take care of that. However, if the time comes that our roof needs to be replaced we will certainly ask Mr. Cook. We were very satisfied with his 2006 job. They worked very clean, efficient. I had checked his ref. list personally and talked with various homeowners who had their roofs done at various times and the fact that this company stands behind their work, be it 1, 5 or 10 years out was the reason I hired them then and will in the future.

Ken Cook, proprietor of this local family business, responded quickly to my phone call. He arrived promptly and gave a competitive, professional estimate for a complete new roof of which I was badly in need! Unfortunately for me, this busy company was so booked at the time that scheduling my roof was months away.

They are very nice people, but the issues continue. So, we're trying to figure out if we should hire somebody else with that either or what.

The work crew arrived on time, got right to work on the job which took about 4 days to complete. At all times they were very professional. Each worker was as careful as he would be on his own property. We particularly appreciated all debris taken away daily using their own truck.

Our house was built in the 50's. It's a small single family, 2 bedroom, 2 story, odd shaped house. It has a total of 6 roofs including the attached garage. The last time anything was done to the roof was @20 years ago. No leaks but it was starting to look pretty shabby. When Ken came to do the estimate he was very informative and was able to answer any questions we had. He went up into the attics and looked around. He recommended changing the way the roof was ventilated and adding some insulation. My wife and I agreed. The house has old steam radiators for heat and there wasn't much insulation in the attics so anything we could do to improve our heating/cooling was welcomed. He went over all our options and gave us an estimate. After getting 2 other estimates we knew Cook's was the right company for us. I don't understand why some people have complained about them asking for a 1/3 down to cover materials. We had no problem with this. Imagine if you ordered $4000-$5000 worth of materials for the job and then the customer cancelled. Can you return all those materials to your supplier at no cost? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe your stuck with a stack of puke green shingles in the back of your warehouse that no one wants. Ken's crew was great! They did an awesome job. Very professional. Arrived on time, worked hard. Good bunch of guys. No slackers or hackers. Cleaned up when they were done each day. My wife had been worried about the gardens around the house getting trampled or crushed. We haven't noticed a single broken stem Overall we are extremely happy and satisfied with the way the job went from beginning to end. The roof looks amazing. We highly reccommend Cook's Roofing.
