Contract was signed and could start in two weeks time. Entire job originally to be completed in 3 weeks. Started beginning of October. We advised him at end of October he needed to finish with-in a week. He said ok, We asked him to end his work and be off site one week before Thanksgiving. Why? Read below... Phase one: Full gutting of upstairs bath and down stairs 1/ bath ceiling was performed. No preparations made to protect our hardwoods floors leading out to dumpster and no effort was made to protect my fixtures and appliances in down stairs half bath. Damaged 1> Deep gouges and scratched hardwood upstairs floor 2> Broken wall board fell onto - ceramic sink, ceramic toilet, washer and dryer, all over new tile flooring. Damaged toilet handle, (constantly runs after flush) tile floor covered with wallboard dust, not easily cleaned by home owner. The contractor could not find a master licensed plumber to takeover this sites plumbing work. Delays continued, He started a new job and only saw him onsite 2 or 3 days per week until end of job. The contract left his none english speaking crew onsite over the next few weeks, they lost direction we had communication problems and the project schedule fell further behind. I had to hire a 2nd master plumber and plead with him so I would not hold him accountable to flawed work he did not originally perform and pay him out of my pocket!!! Phase two: Prep-master bath room for new larger batch tub, new plumbing fixtures and vanity. Due to larger tub, slight move of wall behind bath tub was required. The journey man plumber did not know how to perform a quality soldering of relocated copper water lines! Welds were messy, leaked and the copper pipes used was for heating system, not the required high pressurized (shower) waster system! Shower control value install failed, I had to go back to plumbing supply house and replace broken control value. 2nd attempt caused a leak and water lines to shower control were connected backwards, or reverse - cold to hot and hot to cold. Next a new american standard oversize batch tub was installed directly over the floor joists. The joists went length wise to the direction to the tub and a sub-floor needed to provide support for heavy tub but was not installed under tub, Now the tub creaks and you can feel a slight wobble each time going in and out of shower! Next the other shower fixtures were installed - shower line, hand rail, and shower head. At same time ceiling light was added into the shower area. During this time, the new tub had tools dropped on to it, (no protective covering of course) and caused two new deep Chips into the tubs porcelain enamel side and drain plug areas!!! Whats next? Shower tile was picked up by home owner, per contractor estimate linear footage. Shower tile walls (3 sides) began installing well and appeared done, when contractor next came on site, out of no where stated it is 'not to code' and tile wall needed to go higher, about two feet higher! This caused a dispute as I provided what he asked for! How to correct it - well we came up with a idea of adding a 2nd boarder on top of the current end height that would look fairly good. I had to shell out this additional cost plus extended installation time. Next the tile floor went in, unremarkable. Expensive wall to wall vanity fit in well, granite top and side trim went in well along with multi-colored 12'x12' back splash, but grouting was incomplete around light switch. New Toto toilet was attempted install by a new journeyman plumber, and he could not figure it out after 4-5 hours. I said enough is enough, I will call back my master plumber to finish the jobs right and I will find my own new contractor to complete the job. Time was 8:pm on a Saturday night, exhausted I told the contractor this is the end of you work here you are done! To complete the job took me two more month to find available repitable contractors due to the holidays. I paid 2/3rd of contact to AG Construction and we agreed to use remaining to finish the jobs. Did not including fixing all the screwups!!! Add on $5000 to finish the job. Get this: he sewed me in small claims count for $1100.00. I counter sued himn for $2500. magistrate awarded me $2000.00 contactor failed to appear at payment hearing and now constable is serving him Habeas corpus! Do not use this Attorney general Construction for anything to do with building new. Maybe if you want something torn down with debree left over.

I truly regret that this went south, I gave them a incredible allowance for the errors made and still they kept my supplies that I sued for. Letting a customer buy materials is a big mistake it will not happen ever again.

We arranged the job with the owner himself and we were given a quote at that time which we accepted and then we were called with the job date. The carpenter arrived on time on the job date and was very professional, personable, and very knowledeable. He began the job as soon as he assessed the job to be done and never stopped working until the new cabinet was up and the area cleaned up. The work was done in a very timely manner and we were very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Took down old existing medicine cabinet and replaced it with new one.

These people are professional cons they cashed a check of 60,000 in my company name. They had friends in Bank of America to help them with this fraud practice. They would misuse the bank funds for wine tasting events in New Hampshire. Do not do any work for them the husband a BP officer uses his uniform to intimidate you. We went to court and AGC sued for 18500 which we won!! However its on a lien on their property. They still squirmed they way out of 80-,000 plus in materials and labor. I regret ever meeting these wanna be high society lowlifes Stay away from the Smarts in Boston.
