Description of Work: I hired them for a complete rip/replace of my driveway. Overall it was a good experience. There was a little miscommunication about how far they were expanding the driveway, so it wound up about a foot narrower than I wanted. Other than that they were great. They showed up on time, completed the work quickly and it looks great. A neighbor even complimented the job they did.

Description of Work: Quoted on repaving my 85 foot driveway, widening it to more easily park two cars side by side, and adding more area to it for my children's cars off to one side. They came out for the quote as scheduled. Representative was very professional and listened to what I needed, making suggestions on how to best get it done. Had a professional quote in 3 days. Not cheapest quote but the one I am most confident with. Will be scheduling work this summer after other construction work is done and those trucks and equipment are gone.

Description of Work: I will preface this review by stating that I worked in the road construction business for three years building highways, replacing town roads, including historic districts, as well as sidewalks and driveways. | |The overall replacement of very broken up asphalt required a full regrading of our driveway. The driveway flows downhill from the street to a retaining wall and around the back of the house to a single car garage. In addition to the old asphalt the poor grading from a previous job allowed a shallow oval puddle of water about 6 feet long, 3.5 feet wide and 1.5 inches deep. | |I ensured that both the estimator and job foreman understood that eliminating this pooling was a requirement. I also allowed them to freely grade as deep as they wanted in order to make this happen and make certain the water flowed away from the house to the far corner of the driveway to a new catch basin and drain. | | |When they finished construction the shallow hole still remained although slightly smaller. During the followsheetingo winters the same ice sheets occur. Not a very professional job especially considering all the leeway given them in order to get the job done correctly.

Description of Work: We had a drainage problem and some existing obstacles to work around and they worked patiently and thoroughly to figure out a solution.

Description of Work: Would definitely contact them again if repaving or major repair were needed. While we were very impressed with their knowledge, they offered more than what we wanted to do at that point in time, including removal of tree root that was they said was causing a problem with subsequent repaving of the disturbed area. The extra work added, of course, a fair amount to the cost.

After calling several companies to request quotes for the replacement of our old and pitted driveway, Asphalt Engineering was the only one cared enough to come to our home, take measurements and deliver a professional quote. After that, the timing of the job & the communication from the staff was all spot on. The crew was great (even helping our mother stepping across the torn up work area to get to her car). The process and resulting new driveway were all as promised. We would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: Plans to have Asphalt Engineering sealcoat my walk and drive have been postponed because the landscaper needs to replace the walkway. However all my dealings with AE's staff were top notch; they bent over backwards to try to help me resolve the issue with the walkway even though no part of it was their responsibility. I look forward to contacting them in the future for my asphalt needs.

Description of Work: Purchased Angies coupon, for 129 dollars. Ended up spending over 200 w/ repairs. Driveway doesn't look so great as you can see the lines of the repaired areas. Sealing and repair
