A-Tec Chimney Sweep

They called ahead to let us know when they would be at our home and they arrived right on schedule. They were very professional and efficient as well as knowledgeable, and also very kind to our pets. (Sounds silly, I know, but our lab is an excellent judge of character and she loved them!) The price was very reasonable and exactly what was quoted, plus I used the Angie's List discount. I asked about chimney caps and they gave us a quote, but there were no high-pressure sales tactics. I highly recommend A-Tec Chimney Sweep and we'll definitely use them again.

A-tec came and inspected my chimneys. I have 6 fireplaces, and 3 chimneys. They recommended work on two chimneys before I even use them. They passed others without any issue. In the end I only had 2 fireplaces cleaned, because these are the ones we planned to use for wood burning. There was no pressure to fix other chimneys, we simply won't use those, as they would likely be inconvenient for us now to use anyhow based on their location. A-tec was willing and happy top do whatever work we wanted done.

On time, professional and gave us estimates for future work.

First of all, i called another company on the list first, and they were booked out until late January. Too bad for them! A-Tec was my second call and they were able to come out within two days. They were very accomodating,.Everything worked out Perfectly! They called half hour prior to showing up, just as promised. One man went up on the roof and somehow was able to get to the top of the stack, kudos! The other man carefully placed a drop cloth inside and cought all the debris that was coming down. We will definitely call them again. They have our business! Thank you!

I called A-Tec in somewhat of a panic because my heat had been shut off due to a improper venting from a bad chimney. Plumber suggested it could be a potential liner issue (which is scary, because that can be expensive). The person on the phone, Jonathan (I believe) tried to schedule me in as soon as possible. They came the next morning on a Saturday: a rainy day. The two guys (one was named, Tony, I believe) arrived punctually. They were professional, courteous and most of all honest. They inspected the chimney, cleaned it out thoroughly, and gave me an assessment of the condition of the liner. They found the liner to be fine, but there was an extreme amount of debris stuck inside, which they removed. I am extremely happy with the service I received. If I ever need any chimney work done (small or large), I would have no hesitation on calling them -- and referring them to anyone. I value honesty over everything else. I tried to cancel they showed up anyway and then would not give the the estimate until I paid- they invoiced me $90 and charged my credit card $180. dod not go near tese guys!!!!

They provided a quote for the work on their first visit. When I was ready for them to do the work, we scheduled the date for the work to be done The day of the installation, 2 people came on time and proceeded to work until they finished the job. I took about 5 hours to complete. I was very satisfied with the work they performed and the cleanup after they finished.

They told me the original guy put a chimney cap that was too small and the water was heating the chimney and was not heating the roof so they replaced the chimney cap with another one which was about 4 inches wider. They were responsive and they did the work. They came in a timely manner, they were professional and answered my questions.

Steve and Tony came for (free) evaluation and estimate at a time that worked for me, and then performed the work the next week. Not only was the work performed efficiently and professionally but Steve showed me that he extended the liner to improve the system. He was careful to ask if I had any questions. Extra care was taken to keep the premises clean.

I had used A-tec to sweep my chimney last year and the process wen extremely well so they were the first people I thought of for the chimney rebuild job at my 92 year old mother-in-laws home. From my first job for the chimney sweep to the chimney rebuild you can count on Jonathan to either pick up the phone or immediately call you back, very impressive. The chimney build took place on the date and time provided with a call from the work crew when they were 15 minutes away. Two young men worked tirelessly through our first hot day of the summer and 7 hours later the job was done to perfection. The entire chimney, flu and all was rebuilt from the roofline up and looked fantastic. Furthermore, these two young men were very respectful of my mother-in-law during the entire process and my wife and I appreciate that very much. These guys weren't knuckle draggers, they knew what they were doing and they did it well. DO NOT HESITATE TO USE A-TEC !

Our whole experience was positive- from setting up appointment, to initial estimate visit, and the actual work. Everyone was responsive, timely, and professional. The price ended up being slightly less than we had anticipated, so my impression is that they don't just try to squeeze every last penny out of you that they can. We will definitely be using them again. They present as experts in their field and provide quality work. Would recommend A Tec to others.

This company came out right away to give me an estimate on 5/13. They were prompt and I scheduled an appointment right away for 5/20. They arrived at 9:30 which was within the window of 8 to10 am, that they had given on the 13th. It took them approximately 4 hours to complete all the work. They cleaned up after they were done. A-Tec Chimney Sweep did a very professional job.

A-Tec reinstalled the cap on my chimney that fell off during winter. The whole process was smooth and quick. I phoned 5 companies, 2 never returned my calls, one said they "will come back" but never did, one more looked at the picture and told me my cap is broken and corroded so I need a new one (despite the cap being just 2yr old!). A-Tec, on the contrary, returned my call instantly, send the servicemen to take a look next day, and upon arrival, they confirmed that the cap is fine and reinstalled it immediately. They also explained what was wrong (why it fell down) and let me pay by credit card over the phone. All together it took two phone calls and I did not have to be present at the time of the repair. I really liked their attitude and how fast they were in scheduling and performing the repairs. Will use again.

They cleaned and inspected the chimney and helped reinstall the wood stove. We were very pleased with the service we received!

Great. I just had to open the basement door and leave them to it. They left the basement cleaner than they found it. They were supposed to arrive at 8am. I called at 9am and was told they were loading the van. They arrived at 10:30am. They were all done by 12:30pm

I used one of their coupons for a chimney cleaning. 2 gentlemen from A-tec showed up on time and took about a half hour to inspect my chimney. I have 3 flues, and they checked each one. I was actually in much better shape than I thought - they informed me that I didn't need a cleaning, but did complete the inspection. They provided the list of the repairs and improvements my chimney needed right there, with cost estimates. Overall a very professional by-the-books experience, I was pretty happy. I celebrated via having my first fire inside that night!
