Had to have items redone numerous times. Inspector was out on a daily basis. Finally stopped job prior to completion and went through Massachussets OCABR for mediation at which point the mediator sided with us and Koslik returned all of our money, including funds to demolish the decks.

They started late because he had problems with a permit on another job. When they did start, the cement work was kind of sloppy. It has already started to crumble and crack a bit. The carpentry is fine, I guess. They used some shorter screws when longer screws should have been used, and nails where screws should have been used. The trimming is coming apart. It is something that we can't fix on our own. It is kind of messy and unprofessional. It is not something I would expect out of a job. The professionalism of the carpenter was fine. He usually responded to e-mails and phone calls. We weren't around them working most of the time, so I'm not sure how they acted when we weren't there. The job was a bit unfinished. The tags were left on the wood and the stamps were left on the wood instead of being on the underneath side.

Joe gave me a reasonable estimate and was the first roofer (out of three) who stated that I could save money by shingling over the existing single layer of roof for the majority of the area. He took his time explaining the process and was also open to discussing other issues of concern, such as my gutters and a piece of rotting fascia. In terms of scheduling, he was very flexible and responsive. I dragged my feet when choosing materials, and he was patient whenever I had questions or concerns. When I finally did make a choice (a day or so before work was scheduled to begin) his normal supplier was out of stock. He went out of his way to find a different company to provide the color of my choice. He started the job on time and had a great crew; very polite and professional. The weather was poor in the middle of the job, but Joe and his crew made sure that sections of the roof were completely done so that I never had to worry about rain damage. They cleaned up at the end of each day and I never had to worry about nails or debris on my property. The roof looks great and I would hire Joe and his crew back to do work on my property without reservation.
