Colin did a great job. He showed up on-time and finished right on schedule. He kept me updated on the progress of the job. Colin was $100 more expensive than our lowest estimate, but I felt comfortable with him and what he was able to provide. He also fit me into his schedule the following week. I am glad we chose him as the finished job looks great. I would highly recommend using him--just a great and skilled worker.

Came in at 7am sharp, put rose paper down on hardwood floors and did the louder, dirtier work outside. Put up wallboard over the framed out bathroom extension and then plastered. Was done early afternoon and cleaned everything up.

Colin gave me an estimate on the same day and was able to do the job within a couple of days. He brought a carpenter with him who built the framework in the wall opening to which Colin attached the blue board. An excellent job all round! I wouldn't hesitate to use McCarthy plastering again and would highly recommend him.

Colin was super responsive. Not only did he come right over to look at the job on a Sunday afternoon, that night he sent me an email with an estimate. He answered all my questions, came promptly, did a great job and cleaned up the work area. Not only was his price the lowest, he was very easy to deal with and did a great job. On his initial visit he thoroughly examined the rooms, explained the work that needed to be done and gave me an estimate on site. He kept me informed when the estimated start time had to be modified and gave me a date/time that he subsequently met. He arrived on time and completed al the work in the time frame promised. His plastering work was very good and resulted in wall areas that were paint ready as I requested. Both he and his helper were very careful in cleaning not only the work areas but the fine dust accumulation from the house entrance to each work area and the driveway where he did additional prep and finish tasks. I was completely please with his professionalism. realistic pricing, thorough explanations, and timely email updates leading up to the first work day. For these reasons I would recommend using his company without any hesitation.

Colin was very quick to respond to my request for an estimate. He arrived at the agreed time and gave a very competitive estimate. He replied to my email questions within hours. Once we agreed on the start date, he showed up on time and worked 2 very long days to complete the job on time. Everything was completed with high quality and I am really happy with the results. After getting several estimates from painters about removing some nasty, old wallpaper from our home and then priming and painting the walls, I decided to do the work myself. Unfortunately, after I removed the wallpaper I discovered why the previous owner of our home had papered the walls. I decided that the job to repair the walls was too big for me, so I contacted Colin to give me an estimate about skim coating the drywall to give me a perfectly smooth finish to prime and paint. I contacted Colin through Angie' s List on a Sunday morning and within ten minutes he e-mailed me back! Wow! In fact, Colin came to my home that very morning to give me an estimate, a very, very good one I might had.I immediately asked him when he was free to do the work and he told me that very week. I was just blown away. No one usually responds so quickly. Colin even agreed to work earlier in the day because I have two little kids. At any rate, he arrived on time, prepared the area like a true professional, and worked diligently to complete the job. He applied four skim coats to smooth the wall. The next day he came back and sanded everything smooth. The space was then thoroughly cleaned up and there was really nothing for me to do. What a transformation of the area in our home and I could not be happier with the results. The walls are incredibly smooth and I am actually looking forward to doing the painting!In sum, I would never hesitate to hire Colin McCarthy again to do drywall or plastering work in my home. Just truly outstanding from start to finish. Please, hire the guy! You will not be sorry.

I had a good feeling about this company when Colin responded to my first message requesting a quote with a call a few minutes later offering to be at the work site in 30 minutes, stopping on his way home from another site. When arranging the schedule, each and every phone call or e-mail was answered promptly, great communication throughout. In the end it only took about 2 weeks between first phone call and start of the job. Their workmanship is excellent, absolutely stunning results.

We had originally scheduled an earlier date to do the work, but due to a family emergency had to postpone at the last minute.... Colin was incredibly understanding and easy to work with in doing a reschedule. They arrived on time and got to work right away making sure that the rooms were prepped properly. They helped to remove the rugs and then completely covered the pieces of furniture that were too big/heavy to move. They also made sure that the rooms were sealed off so that it minimized the inevitable dust in the rest of the house. They started at about 8:00 a.m. and were finished by 4:00 - and that included all of the cleanup afterwards. We were also happy that they even cleaned up the plaster footprints on the driveway! The results are fabulous! Both ceilings are smooth as butter and look amazing! We are so happy with Colin's work that we are going to have him back to do more work on our upstairs rooms. We highly recommend Colin!!!

Colin was prompt, profesional and easy to work with. He did excellent work for a reasonable price. I got other quotes, Colin's was the best and he got to my home and gave a quote right away. I am very pleased with his work.

He did the the greatest job that I could have hoped for! He was so thoughtful of our property inside and out! He was fast and was very meticulous about his work ! I never expected it to come out as great as it did ! We were and are very happy with the end result! Everyone who visits just loves lt , most importantly is that my mom loves it! Mr.McCarthy, is also a very polite,friendly and extremely like able gentleman and that is a rare trait to find in contractors these days!

We were extremely pleased with both jobs we had McCarthy plastering do. Both times Colin was very professional and punctual. He called me back immediately to set up a time to view the rooms, and was 5 minutes early each of the 4 times he arrived at my house (for quoting and then for doing each job). He was very reasonably priced, quick and efficient, and did an amazing job on the walls. He also was careful about keeping the floors in my other rooms clean, and mopped up after himself once the job was done. I would definitely recommend him, and use him again.

McCarthy plastering came highly recommended to us from friends that he did work for. My wife & I were so happy from beginning to end! He completely stayed in the budget that we worked out. He was so prompt every day & even cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day! He worked on cathederal ceilings in the master bedroom, finished walls & ceilings in the family rooms. He was a very fast worker & we truly appreciated that, since we wanted to move back into our house. I highly recommend McCarthy plastering!
