We have used them for over twenty years. Its for yard. All of the above, and snow plowing in the winter time. They come weekly. Of course we always want it cheaper. They always do an excellent job.
They were great. They were fast and professional. They did really high quality work.
Description of Work: They installed a lawn, shrubs and a stone walkway.

If you want to bring some very unprofessional people into your neighborhood, who don't speak any English, and who think it is ok to litter and leave their garbage and their grease and oil spills behind, go ahead and hire this firm. Your neighbors will hate you. They are probably an ultra low cost provider, but is it really worth it to bring these people into your neighborhood to do damage? Addendum September 3, 2015 Visit from the owner of this landscaping business in response to our neighborhood complaint (several homeowners who have had enough after a summer off ongoing problems) which was authored under my name, as I have an active Angie's List account. He brought a hand-written apology and expressed his wishes to take corrective action with his workers going forward. Some observations: 1. Business owner Jamie Lewis seems nice enough, but after several weeks of incidents with his workers, we are really very far beyond the point where an apology will help anything. If I were looking for a landscaping service to give my lawn a golf course look and weed whack all the native plants on the property, I would probably hire him, because it appears he is interested in doing a good job for his clients. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing about his team, and I still think that doing a good job for your clients should include NOT riding roughshod over the neighbors. Here, I am sticking by our original observations. Jamie told me that he had a meeting with his team over the incidents at my house (and presumably over the other incidents on the street). The bottom line is that I believe his workers NEED HIS SUPERVISION, not his apologies to neighbors. Not having incidents would be better than having to apologize for incidents. I don't think that the level of supervision is going to increase, only that matters have been discussed and his workers will try to stay off my property with their mowers and weed whackers, and that they will try to park in front of the properties they are working on, and that they will try not to leave garbage or oil spills or cigarette butts on our street. 2. In my opinion, if you are a landscaper in the business of mowing lawns, or hiring people to mow and weed whack, I really think you should teach your workers to verify property lines BEFORE they scalp the neighbor's lawn, and you should teach them to look twice BEFORE they weed whack the neighbor's native tree saplings. If they don't know what a native hickory or a native sassafras looks like, then they should not have a weed whacker in their hands. The native saplings in question were weed whacked to the ground. I dug up what was left and planted them in containers and they are sitting in my back yard, with new saplings springing from the roots. It is hours of my labor to compensate for 20 seconds of ruthless weed whacking. I will make it clear that I don't believe in the practice of creating golf course lawns. I don't water, I use minimal organic fertilizers, and I mow high and mow clippings into the lawn. This is kinder to nature than endless cycles of scalping the lawn, suctioning up clippings and soil, and having to pour gallons of water and fertilizer on the grass. Not to mention that in New England, summer lawns should be dormant, not growing 10 inches a week, and it is not necessary to mow every week unless you are wasting water and fertilizer on the lawn. So, it is a problem for me when the neighbor's landscapers cross the property line with their mowers and scalp my lawn. My neighbors may be pouring tons of water and fertilizer and herbicide on their lawn, but I am not. Scalping my lawn just kills it and allows weeds to flourish in its place. It means that in the fall, I will have to soil and seed the damaged areas. This is more of my time and more of my dollars, all so that next year, the neighbor's landscaping company can damage it again. There is a granite property line marker in the ground which is easy to spot. After the first lawn-scalping incident by this company, my spouse hammered stakes along the property line, and even after that, these workers continued to cross the property line, by 10 and 20 feet in some areas, with their mowers and their weed whackers, ignoring the stakes. We had several weeks of lawn-scalping incidents which were complained about each time to the person riding the mower. 3. The main incident of concern to me still remains of concern to me even after this visit from this nice business owner who is obviously very well meaning and trying to improve. One of his workers crossed about 20 feet onto our property, and was busily weed whacking native saplings. When my spouse and I went out to try to get him to stop, he refused to turn the weed whacker off, instead raising it toward my face and yelling that he did not speak English. Shouting and motioning at him to get off our property had no effect, and it was, frankly, a frightening experience having to confront someone with a running week whacker. At today's visit, I told Jamie quite frankly that I felt this worker should have been fired for that kind of conduct. It was scary enough that, from now on, our only option when these guys cross the line, will be to dial 911. 4. Chances are that this team is probably on par with any other landscaping service that you can hire, but in my opinion, it is one thing to cross property lines and do damage with your equipment, and quite another to confront a neighboring property owner with dangerous power equipment running in your hand. I am revising my Angie's list grading of this service to B, as I think Jamie is actually trying and is reasonably professional. I just hope he realizes that I could have been very seriously injured by his worker, who was on our property without our authorization, weed whacking our native plants, and using his running weed whacker to intimidate me on my own property, rather than turning it off and putting it down, as any normal law-abiding person would have done.
Description of Work: I live on the same street as people who use this landscaping service. These workers are rude and obnoxious. They park everywhere except in front of the property they are servicing, and leave lots of garbage and grass clippings and spill grease and oil. I am tired of cleaning up after them. One of my neighbors up the street tried to complain because his neighbor hired them and they were crossing on to the wrong property (his property, not the property they were supposed to be working on) and they did a lot of damage, weed wacking some expensive, newly planted native trees. They screamed at him in Spanish and pointed the weed whacker at him, refusing to turn it off. Another neighbor has found a lot of cigarette butts thrown onto his lawn, that appear on the days when this team is working. See Addendum below dated Sept 3, 2015.

We have been extremely happy with them. Our neighbors told us that we have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. They really know their stuff. They have a repeat crew that comes back year after year; so, there is no issue with a lot of turn-around. These guys get to know their clients. They are familiar with the property. They are very punctual; they are always here when we need them. Jaime, the owner, is very approachable. We have both his cell and home phone, and if ever we have a problem or whatever, he is right out here and make sure that it is taken cared off.
Description of Work: We have been using Extreme Landscape Gardening for lawn services for seventeen years. They also do plowing services.
