.I concur with all of the kind words said about Mark Adams Plumbing. On my first call, Mark himself picked up the phone and I explained the back-up in my basement sink that was soon going to overflow ( though I also had other non-emergent things that needed doing) Mark obviously dealt with this problem first and connected me to his associate who had someone (Dan) out to my house within hours and cleared the pipe within minutes. Phew. Crisis averted. Dan was great to deal with - he let me watch and explained things in a non-condescending way. Bonus points for that. Mark called me back the next day, as promised, to make an appointment to deal with the non-emergency issues. When I told him the problems, he explained to me on the phone what likely would be needed and what he could do. The way I explained the problem (on the phone) as to the hand held portion of a shower head Mark first thought I might need to a replace it and I bought a new shower head for him to install (and oops -I also bought too much stuff that wasn't needed) -but once Mark arrived and could have a look at the leak he simply fixed the leak in the hose connected to the hand held and told me to take back the new (and unnecessary) stuff I bought! Love him for that. Bonus points again. Mark also quickly installed a new on/off valve to replace the old leaky one connecting the water line to the washing machine while his son quickly replaced an outside water faucet that had corroded and broken off. Mark and his son (completely forgot his son's name, sorry son!) arrived on time and they were very,very pleasant to deal with. They were at my house less than a half hour and boom-boom- boom everything was done. The cost I state above is for EVERYTHING, including the clearing of the pipe that occurred few days earlier. Given how quickly Mark responded, how quickly he performed the services, AND that did just what he needed to do, it was a fair price. These might have been minor problems, but needed to be addressed nonetheless, and they were taken care of quickly and efficiently. I never got the sense that I was bothering him with the "small potato" projects. I would definitely, definitely would call Mark again. As a new home owner (of a 50's house) I have peace mind knowing that there is someone to rely on for future plumbing problems. I feel that Mark Adams is honest and will not rip you off-nice that he is passing that on to his son! Do not hesitate to use him.

We were amazed to discover a top-rated Angie's list plumber right in our neighborhood several years ago. Since then we have used Adams Plumbing numerous times for both planned and emergency services. On each occasion this father & son team were punctual, efficient and professional. In this most recent situation our ancient toilet tank cracked and we have a fairly urgent need to replace the toilet. We scheduled an appointment with Adams Plumbing for the next day. We thought the would simply provide an estimate during that visit however they arrived, diagnosed the issue and took care of it immediately. Adams Plumbing can be relied on to provide high-quality work effieciently and at a reasonable price.

CUSTOMER BEWARE! Agree on a price before he starts working. Ask how much per hour PER EMPLOYEE, and make sure he charges by the hour and NOT BY THE JOB. This plumber came a couple of times. The first time the leak was not evident as the water ran upstairs, and he concluded that it was the shower tube coming out of the wall and caulked around it. This cost $110 but it was clearly not the source of the leak. He did not explain that the $55 per hour charge was per person. He came with his son so that was $55 times two. He came a second time because the leak was still there. He cut a hole in the wall behind the shower and caulked around the water fixture. This time, because he was advised that only one plumber was needed, he decided to charge by the job, $145 for a total of 45 minutes. Because it leaked again he came back for free to enlarge the hole and to say that it was rather a handicapped hold bar in the shower that was not installed properly. The handle bar in the shower was not the problem. The leak was still intermittent after his work. Go to the next plumber!

Mark and his son were wonderful to do business with. They are very pleasant, their work was excellent and they were neat and efficient. I will definitely call Mark again.

I contacted Mark because i had a few issues - garbage disposal not working, shower pull on handle detached from unit, some drain clogging in bath and shower. He called me back quickly and in our first conversation offered several suggestions on things I could do or try myself before engaging his services. WHO DOES THAT THESES DAYS? As it turns out, the only issue needing Mark's services was the replacement of my garbage disposal. We spoke on 5/20/15 about arranging a date for him to perform the work. He suggested 5/21 and when I indicated that was not a good date, he asked for a few minutes to try to rearrange his schedule so he could perform the work that same day. he called me back within 15 minutes to say he would be coming over with the half hour. WHO DOES THAT THESE DAYS? He arrived when he said he would, did the work quickly and professionally, including a minor repair to a dishwasher hose. My final cost was $400. A previous estimate i had received from another plumber who did some emergency repairs was $750. Don't have any plumbing work done without trying Mark first. He's on my list to contact in the future if necessary.

Outstanding. Mark and Rob were right on time for the quote and explained what had to be done. They arrived when scheduled and did the work in a very efficient and professional manner. They are great plumbers who worked very neatly and left the areas worked on clean and tidy. I was very impressed with both of them and would recommend them to anyone.

I called Mark and he answered the phone himself, no leaving a message or phone tag. I explained the plumbing issue and he gave me a day and time he would be there. He showed up exactly on time! Mark and his son went over what caused the issue and how to prevent it in the future. The pipe and faucet was replaced in 30 minutes. Very polite and knowledgeable. They will be my fist call should I ever need plumbing again.

I called Mark this morning and he returned the call within an hour and was at the house within an hour after his call back. He came with his son - both professional and very pleasant. I explained that the toilet had not worked well since its installation several years ago and that we finally wanted it fixed even if it meant breaking through the wall and redoing the pipes. Mark and his son took a quick look, explained things clearly to me and then went to the truck to get a piece of equipment. A few minutes later they came downstairs to tell me that they had snaked the pipes and pulled out a gray rag that was stuck down into the plumbing somewhere (they guessed it was left there by the plumber who did the original installation) and now the toilet works perfectly! I wish we had called them years ago! These guys are great - we'd definitely use them again!

In the inspection report ( I purchased a condo) it indicated that the valve in the bathroom was leaking. So I called Mark (based on reviews on Angie's List) to get an estimate of the work. Talking to Mark was an extremely pleasant experience! He explained everything to me, as I asked a lot of questions. He was patient and is extremely knowledgeable. I scheduled a time for Mark and his son Rob to come and do the work. They were on time, very pleasant to work with and very efficient in getting the job done. I was pleasantly surprised and will not hesitate to have Mark and his son back to do any additional plumbing work I would need. It's a pleasure working with great people that know what they are doing!!

Called him to discuss potential plumbing remodeling and we agreed he would call later that evening. He called at 7:00 pm that night (hence the "D" rather than an "F') but unfortunately I missed the call (was at dinner). I returned the call at 9:00 and left a voicemail telling him "to call anytime." Never heard from him again, despite calling again and also sending a text. This is a common problem with many contractors -- if you don't wish to do the work or are too busy, that's fine - simply communicate that. That would likely result in no review or at least a positive rating. But when you don't return calls and texts (and answering a text takes minutes) that is simply disrespectful. I certainly would not recommend him for that very reason.

Beautifully. I'd found MAP on Angies List, and knowing good plumbers are hard to actually get, was worried he'd not call me back after my weekend VM inquiry. Mark Adams, of MAP, did, and the plan was made. I am a nonplumber but have prior experience with questionable dishwasher installations (I actually read the installation instructions beforehand) over 3 decades, so was a little concerned. Mark intelligently allayed my specific concerns, and said he would never leave a customer with an inferior job. When the installation time came, we learned that the existing dishwasher water inlet line was directly connected to the main water line (and nowhere near the sink) and did not have a dedicated shutoff valve of any sort. In other words, had I ever had an inlet water problem with the dishwasher, the entire house main water would have had to be turned off, and fast. Mark and his son handled the job, including adding a dedicated shutoff valve and the installation. They both were professional, goal-directed, 'get-it-done-right' and pleasantly personable.

Great experience! My call was answered immediately and the work was scheduled as soon as I was able to have them come. Mark and his son arrived right on time as they said they would and were very friendly. Mark took the time to show me how to turn off my water and bypass the filtration system (things I usually rely on my husband to worry about). They did a great job and were in and out quickly. I will certainly give them a call again for future plumbing needs.

I called and left a message for Mark on Tuesday, March 10. He returned my call the next day, asked me some relevant questions about the problem, and told me he could come the next morning. I emailed him 3 photos of the toilet. He & his son arrived at the agreed-on time and resealed the toilet in a very reasonable time. He then warned me not to use it until the next day. I paid him with a check.The leak had been so bad that I waited 2 more days before using the toilet, but it has been just fine.

I called Mark based on Angie's List reviews. He answered the phone, I described the issue I was having and he said he could be there that same afternoon. He was there early and got a somewhat tricky job done very quickly. Nice to deal with honest people that care about their customers. I would highly recommend and will use for future plumbing needs.

Mark and his son responded quickly and seemed to know exactly how to fix the leaking shower drain. They were quick and efficient. He called back a few days later to check on the drain. I told him that it was still leaking (but only a small amount). He came out and repaired again. No charge. I like that he is on time! Will definitely use again for some plumbing upgrades we are planning.

Perfect - of all the plumbers I called, they got back to be fastest by a long shot, and were able to come out the earliest. I couldn't believe how fast they completed the work, and was relieved at the low price. Would absolutely call again!

While I didn't use Mark Adams Plumbing they were able to identity my problem and referred me to a provider that was able to quickly help me. They were very responsive and informed.

He’s fine. He does the job and he is very capable. He is on time. I wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending him. He was good.

It went very nice. He's easy-going and it's great. The guy showed up when he was supposed to come and worked very quickly. I would definitely recommend him. Actually, his price was very competitive that's why we went to him. We went to him several times and his responsiveness was not that superb but it was okay.

Mark and his son were fantastic. The work was done quickly and effectively. He also told me that what I originally wanted done was not in his wheel house. Rather than try and do something he wasn't skilled at, he did the job that he knew he could excel at.
