Description of Work: We were told that the stove/insert would be delivered next week for 2 months so did not get to use it for more than 1 week of winter tho it was ordered in early january. Staff there are disorganized and not knowledgable. Had to tell them what insert would fit my fireplace.

+ -1 moreTheir tech showed up on time, did his work in a professional but friendly manner. Stove runs like brand new.Very happy.
Description of Work: My pellet stove died and I knew extremely cold temps were headed our way. I called them and the lady answering the phone sent out a tech immediately that day. A new control panel and the blower needed replacing. The stove is over 9 yrs. old anyway. Their techs are very courteous and informative.

+ -1 moreThey did send somebody down to do something. The major reason for doing business with them was the boiler. The boiler was a very unique model and only they were just one of the two people that have these boilers operating. So I was specifically selected by them out of the family to try it out. I’m an engineer and because I’m quite a distance from them, I assumed that I would be doing some of the service on it which I’m perfectly comfortable with. During the process of installing it and asking questions over there, they had been extremely helpful. It was mostly dealing with the owner of Higgins himself. They are knowledgeable and he has been of tremendous help. When I was surveying which boiler to buy, he made sure he took me to his house and showed me his boiler because they did not have one to show me. They kept me in touch with the actual distributors who offered me to put it in. They helped me to keep in touch with their technical people. Overall it was a very good experience. Their price was good. I would use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Higgins Energy Alternatives for my heating and air conditioning. I last used their services in November of 2010. They delivered the pellet boiler for us. They also inspected it afterwards.

+ -1 moreThey are a very busy company. Initially I was going to have a pellet burning stove installed. They day they came out they informed me that there was no place to put it in my home. Because they didn?t send out anyone ahead of time, they wasted all of our time. They were able to find a stove that would work for me and were professional but they just didn?t take their time. The prices were fair.
Description of Work: I had a wood burning insert put in my fireplace.
