One contact attempt. No answer, no answering machine.
Description of Work: I called and got no answer and there is no answering machine either. So I don't know anything more about the provider. I did not bother to call again because I feel a business that is really in operation would have an answering machine. I may attempt contact again if I can't find somebody else.

I finally paid someone else to replace the hinge.
Description of Work: He does not respond to phone calls about defective product they installed. Screw Hook and Eye Hinge on gate of wooden fence they installed July, 2008, snapped off. I called about in April, 2010, about 6 weeks ago and left message. Called again a week later and left message. No responses. Called from different number 2.5 weeks ago-finally spoke to someone which leads me too they just weren't answering calls from my home#. Woman said they had gotten my messages (!)and he would repair it at beginning of following week. Did not show. I called again and left message-no response. I have repeatedly stated in my messages that I cannot repair this myself. I told the installer that the hinge was too tight from the start but he had told me it would "loosen up". I rarely use this gate. The fence cost me $2550. I wanted a privacy fence. Now, because this gate faces the road and I cannot close it, I have no privacy. It would probably take him 10 minutes to remove and repair the damaged parts.I have no one who can do this for me! Also, I did not even mention in my messages to Alpine Fence, that another gate that he installed cannot be latched although the hinges are not broken. I thought I would show it to him when he came to repair the broken one. I never said "This has to repaired immediately!". 6 weeks ago I was willing to wait. Now I am not which is why I am filing a complaint because not once has he returned my calls. Also, he has not responded to BBB complaint. The hinge was defective from the start-it was too tight. When I told installer, he said "it will loosen up". I am a senior citizen who does not have the physical strength to remove the hinge.
