Earthday Landscaping

Description of Work: Earthday Landscaping is a good company to use for projects. The owner is good at visualizing a project and suggesting uses of various materials. We love the quality of the work he supplied when his team ripped out old blocks lining our driveway and replaced the block with granite cobblestone. Earthday also planted some shrubs for us, did a great job. |I do find this company expensive when I compare it to a company I use in Sturbridge, MA. I also do not find Ryan as responsive to some of my concerns as I had hoped.

Description of Work: We contracted with Earth Day Landscaping to assist us to reshape our yard to make it more kid-friendly and welcoming to the neighborhood. We first met with Ryan who came out to discuss the project with us. He offered us rough figures for what some elements would cost (walls, loam, stone etc) without trying to sell us in one direction. He offered suggestions for some different approaches for fitting everything into our budget and was realistic about what and when things should be accomplished. I also appreciated Ryan being very upfront about implementation and deadlines. For my project, he know that we had to plant seed by May but also had to work around other factors so we both found ways to get the project done in a timely fashion that worked with the weather and many other factors that go into landscaping projects. Landscapers are exceptionally busy companies with very free-floating and shifting priorities that are effected by weather, rental of equipment, outside deliveries and repairs as well as manpower. Earthday Landscaping was able to finish my project in a reasonable amount of time considering the many events beyond their control and I appreciated their willingness to get the project done but also when they had to continue postponing work for two weeks due to weather, I appreciated Ryan getting in touch and explaining that if they brought their equipment onto my lawn it would do considerable damage. In the end we had things done so it looked great and didn't take forever. Earthday brought in 150 yards of loam and helped us to reshape the entire yard using a bobcat to level the loam and assist drainage.
