The showed up to my three family house on time and did a great job with a wonderfull attention to detail. They cleaned up everything. The place looks great and the tenants were all very pleased with the new look front doors, and bedroom. I would use them anytime!

We live in a small Cape, and we needed to have the house painted. We got several quotes, including one from Barry at Tom Curren. Tom Curren came in the highest. The way that Barry explained how careful the workers are, especially during the scraping/sanding portion of the work. This was one of the most important portions of the job for us, as we have 3 children under the age of 4. The message we got from Barry was that the team was conscientious, safe, talented, etc. The idea that there would be as little dust and no paint chips around was what made us spend the extra money. Barry explained that the workers use full body suits, respirators, cover everything in plastic, tape it off, etc. We went with Tom Curren Painters. The first night I came home, there were paint chips and dust all over the plants and grass and ground. There were tarps placed over some of the plants. Someone was vacuuming the ground to get up the chips and dust. The second day, my wife was working from home, and witnessed a worker sanding, wearing no filter, dust going everywhere. At the beginning of the job, they needed to move something on our deck, and in the process, scratched deep gouges into our composite deck. Again - it was a small thing, but a level of detail - care - that was missing. A number of plants in the front beds were crushed, and ripped out. A gutter was bent where the ladder leaned against it. The painting job did get done, eventually. The weather didn't help, lots of rain or rain-threatening days. They were supposed to caulk around all of the windows, but that never got done. They were supposed to remove all of their supplies but some cans of paint and thinner are still in the backyard. In addition to the paint work, they were to install a new front door, paint it, and install a new storm door. For some reason, they wouldn't send a carpenter during the day, they would only send a guy after 5pm. Not very convenient for us to have someone working on the house while we were home. The entry door was replaced fairly well. The door got a little banged up - paint scaped off of it. Getting the storm door put on was another hassle. Again - they would only send a guy in after hours. It took so long, in fact, that my neighbor and I ended up hanging the door (Andersen) ourselves. I did tell the company that we hung the door, but that the finish work needed to be done by their guy (the sweeper especially). The guy eventually came by and installed it, but installed it incorrectly - screwing it into the plastic part of the door. It lasted about 2 weeks until the screws couldn't hold any longer, and it fell off. I contacted Tom Curren and they agreed to replace the door and install it correctly. I was called when it was completed, and when I went home that day - wouldn't you know it ? It was installed incorrectly again ! I called and eventually the third door was installed correctly. I did go back and forth quite a bit with the project manager and a number of other people at the company. I'm sure I became "THAT" customer. But I felt that I was paying $8000 to get my house painted, and extra for the doors to be hung, and that $8000 is a lot of money. For $8000 we expected a level of customer service as well as a certain level of work, and those expectations were not met. I'm sure that they quote jobs for that much and more, on a daily basis, but for some of us, that is a huge amount of money. We still have not had the windows caulked, and I would expect that they will not finish that part of the job this year. The paint job that they did is quite beautiful - the house does look amazing. I just wonder if we would have gotten as good a paint job for $6000 with someone else.

There were a few delays for scheduling difficulties, re-working a mis-measured electrical socket, re-centering a light fixture, but once these errors were discovered the fix was ordered and carried out within one day's time. The end result is a new, up-to-date bathroom that will last for years and looks very nice. The job took 5 weeks from design to walk-thru, which was longer than planned. The finished product was worth the wait, all the workers were very professional and helpful, the design team was insightful, the project managers were communicative and responsive. The team as a whole kept us informed, addressed our concerns, and delivered a nice product.

I was disappointed in the overall method of work. They sent a salesman to come out to do estimate instead of workmen.

He did a wonderful job. They were the first ones that I saw on Angie's List and the gave a 20% discount through Angie's List so I did it. They are a little bit pricey from the word I get from other people. They did a really good job.

Curren's office kept reaching out to me, even though I was unresponsive at the time (lots going on with family and medical stuff). The finish carpenter who did the work, Januir Serpa, did an EXCELLENT job: 4 coats of OIL based paint, sprayed, for a smooth as silk finish. And he's a fine gentleman to boot. Can't ask for more. Thumbs up!

They were scheduled to do the work in September we could not get them to come before October, then they didn't come when they were supposed to. They sent one carpenter to do all the work by himself. he did not undersand the scope of the job. We stil have components of the front railing that are rotted (they missed a component). We had them come back to fix the back stair work- the step treads didn't align and the side was unfinished. We expected the finishes to match the exisign steps- the tread material they used was pressure treated lumber not poplar like our other stairs. Bottom line, they took on too much work with the Angie's List promotion and could not fulfill their obligations! We were VERY disappointed as we had hoped to be able to use them for other work we need around the house!

They were very professional throughout. We had initial difficulties in planning out how to repair the porches and they were easy to deal with. They did a good job. They walked me through what they could or they couldn’t do. They definitely did a good work. I would use them in the future.

They were very responsive, showed up on time and I was happy with their work. I will use them again in the future.

They did a great job on window, but were late and took a 2 hour lunch.

I got an Angie's List coupon for part of the work. I can't think of anything I disliked. They did what they said they were going to do. They came in and did the work, and it looks good. The customer service was good. It was really good but I should have asked them to change something since they just replaced it the way it was. It was probably more my fault than theirs.

I was extremely satisfied with the work that Tom Curren company did on my basement stairs. They were professional, thorough, knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. Tom the owner himself came out to look at the basement stairs, gave me an estimate which was a competitive price (had two other estimates done), and then his team came out one more time with the carpenter Gilmar to go over the project before work started. The work was done efficiently and was very good quality. When we realized half way through that my husband would have to duck to get down the new stairs they were very professional and pleasant about fixing our mistake and rescheduled the work to fix the height of the stairs very quickly. The carpenter was great and Jason the lead on the project was very knowledgable, nice and had a great sense of humor about it. The stairs came out much better than I had envisioned and we are very happy with it. They also cleaned our gutters in a timely manor and placed a gutter cap system on the front of the house. They impressed us so much with their thoroughness that we are having another project done by them also. I would highly recommend Tom Curren!

Everything was fine. They were really consistent with their estimate, showed up when they said they would and their overall work was good. When they came to do the estimate I did not hear from them for another month and a half to two months; I think they forgot; so that was a big dissatisfier for me but I was not in any hurry so it did not matter. I possibly may use them again in the future.

Their approach was more comprehensive than others. They were very professional and were a big enough company to take this job on. I felt their price was a little high but I will get another estimate from them in the future.

Fabio's work was impeccable. He was also completely professional and worked very quickly, and it was easy and pleasant to have him in my home. I have used Tom Curren Company for many, many jobs over the past few years and have always been perfectly happy. I find them professional, responsive, and a joy to work with. I have recommended them to many friends, all of whom have been very happy with the work and the experience. Without hesitation, I give them my highest recommendation!

It did not go well. I called and made an appointment for cleaning and to add a new gutter. I agreed to be there when they came. They were to clean and caulk the seams. We made the arrangements. They ended up coming yesterday. They were at my home when I got home from work. I knew that our exterior hose was turned off and that they would not have had access to water to work with as they were cleaning. I also asked if they did the seam caulking, which was the main thing that I needed them to do and they did not. I called the manager and expressed my concerns and he told me that they had water in their truck that they poured down the spout to flush them out. They offered to send to someone out to caulk the seems, but I declined and decided to not use their service any further.

He did what he was supposed to do. He provided very good service at a fair price.
