Charlie was great-- very polite and professional. He has 37 years experience as a carpenter, which is why we went with the more expensive handyman company because all of their workmen are top notch. You may pay more per hour, but it saves you time in the end because these guys know what they are doing and get the job done. (They are also legal citizens and they speak English perfectly, something which is increasingly rare.) Everything was done in 2 hours-- problems solved that had been bugging me for months, if not years!

SCAM Alert, the most dishonest company, we ever hired. We contacted them to get a second quote. We received a verbal estimate, and immediately asked them to email it to us to have a trace of what the JOE said. They came to our house, took off for 2 hours to home depot ( charged us for 2 hours or $253 + cost of material just for that trip). They claimed the lines. at the store to pay were long. The store is 20 min away, from our house. One expect a handyman to know where to find supplies in a hardware store. One also expect that they have some in their truck. However why would the technician want to rush out of the store when they bill the customers an hourly rate to go shopping ? The guy came back and took forever to complete the simple project, going up and down the stairs a ridiculous amount of time to grab one thing at a time in his truck..The job was completely to our great dissatisfaction and took 2 hours longer than their estimate. No problem along the way, it was a very straightforward project. We hired them to make basic sliding doors to cover our A/C unit. Believe it or not at the end of the job, the doors would not open and close or stay on the tracks. They build everything from scratch, charge you a $1000 and dont care if the doors open and close ? My husband figured out that one door was cut shorter than the other one. They took the doors to cut them again, it took them a week to come back and fix their mistakes. In conclusion : just go and pay the price of a contractor that give you a fixed bid and WRITTEN agreement. It might look more at first that what Handyman will tell you verbally but it's not. Handyman makes things up as they go, they dont give you a written agreement and dont keep their words. STAY AWAY, they are not trustworthy. Read ALL the reviews here, most of them are negative. We wish we had read them prior to hire them.

Excellent Three men come. All very nice. And qualified. And they were VERY TIDY.

These guys gave me next-day service on the Friday before Memorial Day. They took 20 minutes to do an installation it would usually take me an hour or more.to complete. When I decided I needed an adjustment to the installation, one of them came back within the hour. I couldn't be more pleased--and they're right here in my own city! A+ on this one.

Performed about half of the project, then disappeared. First, responded that they'll get back to me in the afternoon. Second message, no response whatsoever.

The appointment went well - at first -one of the technicians, Marvin, was scheduled shortly after calling. He arrived on time, took pictures and seemed to be able to identify the problem and discuss repairs more thoroughly than other contractors I had interviewed. I explained that I needed the estimate quickly because I'm selling my house and had to submit the proposal to the insurance company ASAP. It was Friday, and was told I'd hear from management by Tuesday to discuss the work and be provided with an estimate. I was not contacted, so reached out at the end of the week, Friday. The customer service rep assured me someone would get back to me before the end of the day. No one returned my call. Very unprofessional; I now have to postpone listing my property.

I recently moved to a new townhouse and needed help with a number of handyman services over the past few weeks. I found them to be professional, efficient, friendly and all together appreciated. I highly recommend this company.

Joe responded to my Angie's List email in minutes and agreed to get the 1/2 day's worth of work done the next day. On the day, Bill got right to work and had the whole job accomplished in under 3 hours. The price was as estimated, and included bags and disposal. Cleanup was done well too.

Charlie is lovely and totally professional....takes serious pride in his work. We had him install new shelves, put a lock on our fireplace, and put in a new shelf under our sink. There is probably more but I am forgetting at this point. Basically he is up to do almost anything---and is very upfront about what he cannot do. A total gem and we will be using him again and again!
