Very well, arrived as scheduled and all involved worked well together to finish the job.

I was having problems with a boiler and was told by AEC that it just needed a cleaning service. After service I had the same problem, not staying lit. They went out a second time, charged me again and replaced parts. The boiler was having the same problem as before and when I called them they wanted to charge me for a third visit. The lady answering the phone is rude also. I went with a different plumber and he fixed it first time, it was an easy fix. I was using them for another big job also and paying them a lot of money. On that job they did okay work but were slow, expensive, and always unprepared. I also later found out they have ties to a local scam artist.

I used to have a maintenance contract for my gas furnace with the gas company but they gave up this business and transferred it to Pivotal Home Solutions, so I have a contract with them now. This contract includes a free cleaning/maintenance visit yearly. Pivotal subcontracted this to Advanced Energy Concepts to do the free cleaning and preventive maintenance. The service tech was very pleasant and knowledgeable. They had scheduled his arrival between noon-2pm and he arrived on time. The only 2 issues I have is that in the past, part of the routine maintenance was to replace the thermal coupler (since that is the part that usually fails when the furnace doesn't work), but they said they no longer replace that as preventative maintenance as long as the one in the furnace is still working. The only other issue I had was the van he had was a piece of junk and it dripped oil spots in my driveway. (I had asked him if it was his van or the company's and he said it was the company's van but it was the oldest van in the fleet and thought it may be replaced soon.....I hope so, so others don't end up with oil spots in their driveway too.)

They installed it correctly. Very professional. It is working fine and looks great in our living room. Just make sure they bring all the rebate form with them when they come to install your unit. They forgot papers when they came for installation, so I had to call two three times to get the papers. I took a while but they did send it in mail. This heat pump doesn't generate heat when the temperature is 13 degrees or I should say not that efficient, so we have to turn on our electric base board heating at that point. Heats very slowly at lower temperatures. Works really well if the temperature is above 32. Haven't used the air conditioning yet so can't comment on that.

Last year I had a wonderful experience with this provider, so I was very disappointed this time around. Although the work only took a few hours, it took several days because they never had the right parts, but it required that my husband and I miss several days of work so that we could be home, and they were always at least an hour late. I asked on several occasions to have the manager Sean call me, and left messages for him, but never received a call back. I later had another company come to assess a different project, and they told me they felt the job done by Advanced Energy Concepts was not quality work.

Very late as usual, but friendly and courteous one they arrived. They replaced the necessary filters and nozzle but has never cleaned and vacuumed the fire chamber. The system never sounded it ran quite right or like it used to.

This was my first experience with this company and will most certainly not be the last! From the moment I spoke to Vicki, the office manager, she initiated a prompt service call from Sean. The technician was punctual and professional. I am usually apprehensive as I am a stay at home mom with 2 young children but immediately felt comfortable inviting him into my home. My unit stopped working during the heat wave of July and the temperatures were intolerable, especially for a young infant. I wasn't expecting them to be able to come out on such short notice considering it was 'peak' season during a heat wave in July but despite the fact that i did not purchase my system from them (big mistake) you would never know with the top-notch customer service. The unit was up and running within 1.5 hours of the technician being there and we have recently gotten in touch with the company to assist us with a new efficient heating system this Fall and received a competitively priced proposal with the option of financing through home depot which allows us to make installment payments. I was also offered many proposals with some higher-end systems coming with energy-efficient rebates. Overall I am pleased in stumbling upon a family-owned, quality small business with employees who focus on quality instead of quantity!

I found a reference to them, called, set an appointment time, they came on time, were v ery helpful. But I decided what they offered was not what I wanted.

We have used Advanced Energy multiple times in the past and always had good service, but the last few times have not been good. Problems take multiple visits to resolve and the last time the work wasn't right.

This experience was a complete nightmare. They installed it wrong to begin with. The worker was contracted through Home Depot. He told me a lot of lies. The contracting company took the contractor’s side whenever there were issues even when I was disputing things plainly written in the contract. I was given options that did not agree with me or the contract and was forced to choose one that I was not happy with. I was told that this project would only take three months at the most. The project was not completed until seven months after they began which was twice the length of what was told to me originally. I was quoted an estimate before the contract was agreed upon. I decided to go through Home Depot for added security on the matter. When the contractor was made aware of this the price went up by twenty-two hundred dollars. I will never use this company again.

Every aspect of this job met or exceeded my (high) expectations. Due to the size and complexity of the job, I spent a lot of time getting estimates and comparing vendors. Sean from AEC came out multiple times for site-visits, and answered all of my questions patiently and with real technical experience. He put everything in an extremely detailed quote, and then kept modifying it as we discussed a myriad of options and approaches. I had a number of very specific, and probably unique and nutty requests (like emergency generator hook-ups, preferences on attic duct routing, vent placements, efficiency, etc) that Sean was able to research and provide solutions for. He talked me out of a few of my stupid ideas too. Cost-wise, AEC was pretty consistent with the other 4 vendors I talked with, but I appreciated their willingness to talk through and then write down my options and cost/value trade-offs - so I awarded them the job. I felt like I knew exactly what I was getting into - both the pros and cons of every part of the design. The install crews showed up as scheduled each day. They were consistently neat, and cleaned up after themselves (tools, trash, and all) every day. Even the attic was cleaned up at the end of each day. There was a sr tech on site each day and they were all clearly very experienced. The ductwork guy, mechanical/plumbing guy, and electrician were incredibly focused on little details that ended up making a huge difference in the operation of the system. When surprised by unexpected 'existing conditions' they were agile enough to come up with quick and solid solutions without adding cost. Sean Jr and Sean Sr (owner) came out personally to deal with the harder issues, do final check-outs, and make sure I understood how the whole thing worked. I did have some repeated early system failures and a few bizarre side-effects from the zoning - including some crazy-loud air noise in a few rooms and a loud and irritating buzzing sound in the walls... but AEC came out repeatedly until they found and fixed all of the problems. Even the fixes were well thought out and carefully installed. The system has been running well for over a month now and seems very stable. Every part of the design (including the side-effects of some of the cost compromises) has played out as I was advised, which is pretty impressive really. As best I can tell during this not-too-cold winter the system is sized properly. In the end, the install was exactly as detailed in the quote. Everyone was professional and had both an engineering and an aesthetics mindset. I highly recommend these guys.

They did the job they were supposed to do, but the price was too much. We did call the BBB on them to inquire about services. We will never use them again.

George showed up when he said he would, did the work I needed. It was a routine cleaning, but I wouldn't hesitate to call Advanced Energy Concepts if I had a problem.
