Parker and Sons were able to bring section area around the pool to code as prepare the area for a deck to be built. An old stump was also removed and stone was added where the deck will be built. Finally another section of the pool which met code but sloped was made level and dirt piles which were left by the pool installer were leveled. Mr. Parker was very personable and was a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: We had our above ground pool put in however it did not pass town code because a section of the pool did not meet the necessary four foot height needed from ground to top rail of the pool.

Paul is easy to deal with, knows what he is doing, and is competitively priced. He excels at all kinds of excavation and grading work. He is the rare contractor who actually picks up the phone to let you know how things are going, what's scheduled next, etc. He doesn't get upset if plans change midway or if some other work comes up or needs to be changed. He seems genuinely concerned with his clients' happiness with the final result, and when the job was complete told us to call if we needed anything else or if any issues came up. We found him to be very skilled at what he does, reliable, and trustworthy, and can't recommend him enough.
Description of Work: This is the second time we have hired Paul to do landscaping work for us. Last summer he cleared brush in our backyard which was overgrown and full of brush, small trees, and poison ivy. He did a great job but we were so busy with other renovations that I never got around to writing a review. Anyway we recently hired him again (is there any better endorsement than that?) to finish the job. We needed stump & boulder removal, demolition of some stone walls, finish grading, loam installation, and, finally hydroseeding. We also came up with an idea for a sandbox and, no problem, he delivered 2 truckloads of sand at the end of the job.

Paul Parker was great from start to finish. He was timely and prompt in every phase of this project, from the estimate to the start date and right up to its completion. His work went above and beyond the scope of the original estimate and he was very conscientious and thorough at all times. We were very satisfied with the quality of work and the attention to detail. We wouldn't hesitate to rehire him and highly recommend him and his company. Thanks Angie's List for introducing us to another great contractor!
Description of Work: I had a large area of steep and unusable terrain on my property which was full of undesirable trees and scrub. The vegetation needed to be removed and the slope needed to be to reshaped and tapered to create a gentle incline which could then be cultivated into a mow-able lawn area. Parker and Sons used an excavator and a skid steer over the course of two days to achieve this and much more. They also relocated some boulders, creating a unplanned natural retaining wall and spread 120 yards of loam over the project area.

The job went absolutely fantastic. Paul arrived when he said he would. He threw his ear protection on and went to work. He just said and quot;Steve I am going to make this look like FENWAY PARK.and quot; Fenway park he did!!! He did all teh clearing and sub grading which is always a major component to your final finish. Its not always what you see but whats behind it that makes it right!!!!! When it came down to the loom he neatly spread every bucket worth of this black gold like soldiers awaiting orders. He then power raked the whole parcel relentlessly hour after hour. I came home to see the progress and was just amazed with how he took such an uneven large piece of land and made it flow as if nature had created it. At the end of the day I thanked him on such a wonderful grading job done. He saidand quot; I am not done yet Steve.and quot; Paul then came back the next day and put finishing touches on the property that well exceeded expectations. As I said I am a man of they utmost attention to detail and Paul brought his A game as always! Paul then came back the next day and hydro seeded the entire yard. He made sure his coveragae was in excess of the norm and gave me a strict watering regimen and hydro seed packet. Uhhh ohhhh.......Surprise.....We had a major rain storm that next day. I think near 5 inches of rain. Some of the hydro seed washed out wich can happen with such terrential down pours. I was so busy with work I was just happy to get some water on the seed. When I came home one day I saw that there was new hydro seed applied to my lawn. I was amazed. I didnt even have to call him. He just knew that was the right thing to do was to treat any areas that washed out which where minimal but still costly for him to reapply at no cost for me. This just shows Paul Parkers ethics. Most people think that a good job can be done good. Paul believes every job must be exceptional as he was taught in the militarty(especially the United states Marines:) and he ensured that his work was meeting his expectations. None the less mine! I couldnt be happier with my new lawn. The grass is growing and the kids are eager to run and play in the lawn. Thank you so much Paul!!!!! Sincerly Steve Chorney www.southeasterncarpentryinc.com
Description of Work: First of all I would like to say I have used Paul Parker many times for work in the past decade. I new he would be a stand up guy when I saw the Marine sticker on his truck. I am a general contractor who runs an extremely tight ship as I also am a Marine. Its seems at times our expectations of quality far exceed the norm and thats how we became a match! I recently bought a home in Wrentham, Ma. It is a fairly large property and was in need of a make over. Paul came over and gave me some great ideas. Treated this job as I was a new customer and formally gave me a proposal on all work to be provided. I really thought that was a stand up move considering we have done business together for years, but now I was the consumer. The devil is always in the details for me....... and Paul came through. I must say again I am very difficult to work for and to please. As for te job description, Paul was to excavate over an acre of clear land, pull stumps, sub grade the existing land and feather in multiple heights and levels of this parcel for water to all flow properly into a culvert. Upon that being done Paul was to bring iin 120 yards of top quality compost mixed loom to be applied that and then hydro seeded the entire lawn.
