Brian MacDonald Plumbing and Heating

I called Brian MacDonald on a Saturday evening around 4 p.m. He answered the phone immediately. Said he would be out in 1 hour. My 40 Year Old furnace was not producing heat. He showed up exactly on time. A major plus with me! Brian was very personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and fixed the problem I had within 10 minutes. And he had the part I needed on his truck. He spent more time with me and gave me advice about the future of my furnace and what I should do next. He gave me a quote for installing a new furnace as mine is 40 years old. I would definitely use him again and would recommend him to anyone who needs furnace service. The only negative I have is the price he quoted me over the phone and what I was charged was a little outside his quote. He explained that this was for replacing the part and diagnostic of the problem. Since he wasn't there quite 1 hour, I thought the added fee on top of the quoted price over the phone was a bit pricey for what he did. I would still recommend him to anyone as he was on time, very knowledgeable, easy going and free with his advice.You can't buy that type of service today!

We had a emergency heating problem on a -4 degree day. We called Brian a d he called us back in 30 seconds. Said he would be here by 2:p.m. and showed up at noon. Diagnosed and repaired the unit in less than 30 minutes and had the parts needed in his truck.

Brian was able to diagnose the problem and restore the heat temporarily. He returned the next day with the part for the permanent repair.

Came out same day and everything went very well, only negative was that he didn't tell me ahead of time about the night time charge, but everything else was super.

Nice guy. And I want to trust him. But I paid 125$ for him to shine a flashlight around for 20mins saying I need to pay 3000$ to replace my furnace and I can only buy a furnace through a contractor. Now I'm not a plumber so he may be right. But the numbers are not making sense in my book. And he does not know for sure what's wrong. He THINKS it may be the valve and will cost me near 500$ to replace something that might not fix the problem. That's something I also did not like to hear. Like I said I may be wrong. But this is gods honest truth about my experience. I honestly want my money back if something does not get done..

Wonderful Job! Took time for an extra visit when I needed him to check out the furnace in 10 degree weather. Will use him again. Highly recommended
