Brian MacDonald Plumbing and Heating

I was convinced my blower motor had gone on my furnace. Brian showed up with a replacement motor but after some testing he ended up replacing a capacitor on the board that powers the fan motor. He could have easily charged me to replace the motor which would have been much more expensive than the fee to replace just the capacitor. Great guy!

Mr. MacDonald was on time and very experience in his field. We use last summer for our AC unit and would reccomend him to others. Thank you

Brian arrived earlier than stated which was great because we were cold. He quickly diagnosed the problem and immediately began repairs, and was in and out of our home in about 30 minutes. He was friendly, courteous, and cleaned up after himself, a true professional. He is also a veteran which I liked, a vet helping a vet. He truly has a new customer for any future calls.

Brian came to my house the day I spoke with him, which I appreciated, since every day I ran my boiler I felt like I was throwing money out the window. I was pleased with his obvious knowledge and many years experience with steam systems and he was the first (out of 3) who diagnosed & relayed the seriousness of the problem. He gave a very reasonable quote, was able to do the job right away, and within a week I had a new boiler. He was professional, efficient, and took care to answer any questions. I highly recommend him. In fact, he's returning for a less critical job, as I know he will do it right for a good price. ~ Very happy customer.

Brian called me immediately when I requested service, showed up when he said he would, and fixed my problem immediately. His prices were also reasonable and lower than others I spoke to prior to hiring Brian.

I used Brian as a consultant for a project I had already started. He educated me on what to look for in the work and pointed out a number of issues that I needed to address. He was professional, responsive and easy to work with.

He flushed and cleaned furnace. Left it in good working condition.

Brian came on a timely basis and did the work. I thought that he was a little overpriced. it took him about 10 minutes to install the thermostat, and cost $180.

Brian was quick to reply to my request at Service Magic! The phone was actually ringing before I had finished typing in my request! He came out on a weekend and got my heat going thank goodness. He was prompt, polite, and courteous.

Originally hired Brian to do a simple cleaning and service where he found a cracked heat exchanger. I then got quotes for replacement from Brian and others, but ended going with Brian for the replacement work too. Excellent work, friendly, and willing to include a few extras along the way. All-in-all, very happy with the service. I am reserving one star because there was required electrical work not included in the original quote. I recommended to Brian to include electrical work in his quotes in the future to improve his customer experience.

Called when he was running late. Hired to inspect system and provide annyal maintenance. Reviewed system operations with me and made recommendations on additional needs for the system to operate fully.

Brian installed a rebuilt shower control in our bathroom. He completed the job within the amount of time he said it would take without any delays or problems. Thus far the rebuilt control has worked fine.

Would never hire him again. First he messed up our appointment day so I had to wait for over 2 hours for him to show up, then he tried to charge us more for a part than our toilet cost in the first place ($350)!!! Lastly, he switched out our nice metal toilet handle for a cheap plastic one...so basically I paid $60 for a plastic handle and then had to hire someone to come and actually fix the problem. Very upsetting!

Responded immediately, showed up when he said he would and clearly knew what he was doing. We will use him again.
