After looking at the problem with my furnace he imediately found the problem got the part the very next day and installed the new part within minutes. i was so impressed with his professionalism and the desire, the dedication to completed the job, although i felt he did not have to come back with parts to finish the job the same but he returned late in the afternoon work few hours on the heating system and provided me and my family heat that night. i call that dedication, a man who cares about his clients.

My wife and I woke up Saturday morning and our house was 60 degrees; on one the coldest weekends so far this winter, Our gas boiler was not working. I knew what the problem was (failed thermo-couple), because I have had it replaced 4 previous times in 9 years by another contractor. Several Service Magic pros contacted me with minutes of making my request. Brian provided me with the most clear and reasonable terms for servicing the bolier. He came to our house and had it fixed/operational - all within 2 hrs of speaking. Brian also told us why the part failed so often, and what I could do to prevent it. Very knowledgeable and efficient.

Brian did a good job and was responsive and quick. I feel like in the end the furnace and the labor were a good value.

We had a furnace failure on new years eve. Within 5 minutes of completing the ServiceMaster form, Brian called. He arrived as soon as possible given the weather conditions ( snowstorm) - and had the furnace working very quickly. He was knowledgeable and professional. He also returned as promised after the weekend to complete repairs with special ordered parts. I was impressed with the quick response and effective repair and follow-up. I will recommend Brian for any such job in the future.

Brian responded quickly to my call, came when he said he would, diagnosed the problem and fixed it in a timely manner at the price that he quoted.

On the positive side he was available for work on new year's day. He was on time. He brought the part that was needed to repair my furnace based upon the error code the furnace displayed and I described. No diagnostic work was required. On the other hand his work was sloppy. He tossed in the new part. The new part was different than the old. When he put it in it kinked the hose leading to it. In addition it wasn't correctly placed so that fluid built up in it. This caused significant problems with the furnace days after he finished. When he left he didn't provide a receipt for his $240 bill (for a total of 10 minutes and a common switch). He promised that he would send one and still hasn't. He left the old part on the floor and didn't clean it up. I wouldn't use him again.

Did a great job tuning the furnace. The only reason I would not go with 5 stars is that the shop vac he used on the furnace did not have a good filter on it so the dust fron the furnace was blown into the house. Brian provided good information on how the furnace operates and ruotine maintainance as well as fixing the problem we had with stoping and restarting quickly.

Brian is professional, friendly, and experienced. He contacted me in under 5 minutes and arrived at our house in less than 2 hours to fix our heating system on a HOLIDAY! He knows heating systems and worked as diligently as possible to repair our heating system in a cost-effective manner. I would recommend Brian MacDonald Plumbing and Heating to anyone. We even had him quote additional bathroom plumbing work.
