The job went well.

They were very professional and did a great job.

The electrician who came to the house was punctual and professional. However, he did not have the switch required for the job on his truck to complete the job so he to leave and drive to another town to get it. Since it is the Day after Thanksgiving, it took aout an hour and half to come back (due to traffic & the fact that the supply house in Medford was closed and he had to eventually go to Home Depot.) I was very surprised when I got the final bill. I had purchased the program of 2 hours for $99.00 and I was told by JJ on the phone that although the job took a total of 1.5 hours to complete, I had to pay an additional $110.37 for the electrician R/T drive from Providence to Waltham (about 2 to 2 1/2 hours). This was NOT disclosed when I bought into the program. For the total of $210--I could have gotten a local electrician. Plus, the basement light is now wired into the closet light (again, they didnt have the supplies on hand to give it its own switch.) So, I will have to hire another electrician to fix that. The overall experience was poor. UPDATE: The electrician who performed the service came back within 2 days of their first visit and finished the job and wired the basement light to our satisfaction. So I changed the rating to a "C" as fair.

The ceiling fan/light removal and install of the chandolier went well. Care was taken to assure that all six light "arms" were spaced evenly and level . Advice was given as to bulb size and wattage .The final result was very satisfactory. Due to the style of the existing switches, the dual dimmer install posed a bit of a challenge , but the dimmer that I had bought was able to be installed and works well. The replacement of the bathroom ceiling fixture was "1-2-3" done , works well . The installation of the 3 light sink fixture was more involved than I anticipated. I had told the electrician that there was a light bar on the wall but a contractor removed it and closed up the wall . The connection wires were in the wall but not located where the fixture was , they had been moved . The electrician had to fish around in the wall and I think that he ran a new wire to connect the new fixture. All work areas were left clean and tidy. I have one additional job to schedule for JJL Electric LLC ( a new outlet installation).

I understood that there was a high response to this promotion,and so was patient about the fact that the purchase was on Sept 20, but I had an appointment scheduled for October 30. However, I had to contact the company 2 times before speaking with anyone. We did have a phone conversation and emails, so I was hopeful. But I have not heard from this electrician since October 2nd, and I was suppose to have him here at 8 am this morning. I don't believe I'll ever do a pay-ahead promotion through Angie's List. I had hoped that Angie's List would have done some more verification before offering something like this on their website. If this professional was unable to handle the response, that should have been addressed, and refunds provided.

Very professional and detail oriented. Arrived exactly on time. Overall excellent experience.

I had a list of thing to do...change 2 switches, switch out an overhead light, change a thernmostat out, checked exterior outlets and replaced one outlet. reconnect a bathroom fan, repaired the telephone jacks, and applied putty to the exterior electrical box. He also checked the fuse box at my request. Mr Beckwith was very professional, quickly performed all of these repairs and made some very good suggestions for other items that will need to be done in the future

JJL Electric were excellent; they were very neat, very, clean, and very responsive. They were really good. I got the $99 special; two hours for $99 and they did everything I asked them to do. They were prompt in calling back and when he came to the house, he wanted to clean up every piece of blimp and dirt that he might have dropped or brought in. He was just very personable and very nice. I definitely plan on using him again.

James and his apprentice worked diligently and professionally, trying not to waste any time. The second visit was necessary (as mentioned above) because a part had to be ordered. They did not receive the proper part from their supplier (although there were three weeks delay between when they saw that they need that part on the first visit and when they came for the second visit) and they had to modify the connections by adding some extra boxes. They stayed two hours in our house on that second visit but James included the travel time (an extra hour). For that reason alone, it might be difficult for us to justify using them again because we might as well use someone closer and not incur this travel time cost. Overall, it is a very good company but they seem to be extremely busy: contrary to what I was told on the fist visit, I had to call to get the estimate for the second visit and to book it, and not having the right parts to do the work could have been better handled, IMHO.

Professional and very clean which was much appreciated as they cleaned up very well after their work so that we did not have to. Would hire again.

They were very unresponsive and when i finally heard from them 2-3 weeks later they told me I couldn't use more than 1 deal at a time. I got a refund.

This company has a 3rd party answering service. I called 2-3 times when I first purchased the deal and asked them to make sure that they received the message. Someone from JJL Electric LLC finally called me back and said they were booked for a month and I stated that I would call back in October. Now that I"m calling back, I'm getting the same run around from the answering service. I've decided to just cancel the deal.

Outstanding from start to finish. James was personable yet efficient. He is intelligent and clearly takes pride in his job. I will use him again the next time we need an electrician.

Very well! James showed up on time, was very cordial and profesional, and work efficiently from start to finish.

On time, very careful work, tested all items installed for correct function, very clean work and very peasant to deal with. We will use their services again in the near future for additional work.

Overall experience was fantastic.

I have no reservations about recommending this company. The two company electricians did an outstanding job. They arrived on time, were extremely professional and courteous and cleaned up the job site when they wee done. I would hire them again for additional electrical work.

He was excellent. He was a very personable young man. He knew exactly what he was doing. He had an apprentice with him that I thought was really nice. He was training to be an electrician. They had all the equipment they needed and were very efficient.

It went really well. James seemed very knowledgable about everything he was doing. He was able to very quickly get rid of an unsafe electrical dryer outlet (installed by previous owner) that I would not have been able to do myself. My wife and I previously tried to install the ceiling fixture and ran into some problems. James was able to fix these problems and make the junction box work without having to install a completely new one. I would definitely use James again.

I contact JJL electric after purchasing a Angie's list coupon. I spoke with the gentleman's answering service who took all my details on Monday. By Thursday, after not hearing anything back from JJL I contacted Angie's List and was able to get a refund on my coupon. A week later and I still haven't heard a thing from JJL.

James is always on time and cleans up when he's done. He also works hard and does not unneccessarily extend the length of projects. I also feel his prices are very competitive. I highly recommend him to others.

Overall the service was great! Having come highly reccommended by a friend I knew I would be in go hands. By having James address my electrical needs, I did not spend any more then needed to get the work done. These guys are really worth a call if you need any electrical work done!
