Description of Work: Installed outlets and hung light fixture.

Description of Work: The electrician who came successfully re-installed sconces, fixed a line to an outside outlet, installed a box, and installed a motion-detector floodlight unit. I would recommend him highly.

Description of Work: First two appointments cancelled by JJL on short notice because of "emergencies". Third appointment had to be cancelled by them because of bad snow storm--perfectly understandable. We subsequently noticed recent updates by Angie's on the JJL page and decided not to proceed and to seek a Big Deal refund.

Description of Work: These guys are excellent. They removed some light fixtures and replaced one. They did the work quickly and well and left the rooms clean. Since that initial work, I have had them back to replace the rest of my light fixtures and will be having them back a third time to replace my thermostats.

Description of Work: We had a very old outside fixture that required parts not easily found. James searched for the parts and found them and fixed the fixture like new. Very professional service.

Description of Work: All I wanted and asked for was checking the bathroom ceiling vent and lights since I had not used them in ages. I also wanted to know how much wattage or whatever I could use in different light fixtures since I like bright light everywhere. I am old enough to remember when there was only one type of light bulb and the wattage was the only thing you had to consider when buying a light bulb. Things have changed drastically and the electrician wrote down the type of bulbs I could use in different places. He had a nice apprentice with him too. I am always happy to see someone learning a trade. I did not spend any extra money, just what I paid Angies list.

Description of Work: I got the Angie's List deal ($99 for 2 hours for 2 guys). The guys who came were really professional, competent, friendly, and helpful. They fixed a ceiling light and switched two chandeliers and checked an outdoor light that hadn't been working. They also looked at some knob abd tube I have and wrapped it up where it could potentially have been unsafe. I would definitely have them come back! Liz

Description of Work: The contractor diagnosed the problem with wiring to an outside light. They were careful to explain the problem and possible solutions and flexible in exploring other options. The option that I selected was the hardest to perform. They were careful to screen off the work area to keep plaster dust from spreading and cleaned up carefully at the end of the job. They worked steadily and were cheerful to deal with.

Description of Work: I had new stove hood installed along with two baseboard heater controls. The tech got both devices install and working in about an hour. He even put the lites in stove hood which came in another package. I am very happy with quality of work and would use them again in future projects.

Description of Work: They had to reschedule our original appointment but came on a Saturday to make up for it. They were very diligent in solving our problem despite many obstacles. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: The first man checked many outlets, etc. for us, and another man came back to change kitchen plugs to code. Both men were very knowledgeable and efficient and answered all of our questions. I would call them again.

Description of Work: James Beckwith came a little early with an apprentice. He repaired two outside electrical outlets that were not working properly, replacing one entirely and fixing the other. He also put in an additional outside electrical outlet. The extra $70.66 was for parts, i.e. to repair one outlet and replace another, as well as the additional outlet, wires, ground faults, switches, covers etc. needed to complete the jobs. I would use him again. He was very professional and polite.
