We were very happy with it. I would recommend, they were nice but it's been a year and nothing stands out.

United was a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job. Excellent attention to detail. Project manager was in constant communication with me during the job and we worked through a few "change orders" as well. I would consider them a premium priced shop, but as in most cases you get what you pay for. The work quality was fantastic and they took great care in how they setup their ladders to make sure no damage was caused to the roof.

The materials were excellent but installation was replete with issues caused by the subcontractor they brought in. Corrective action was adequate but the overall process was frustrating. There own installation crew was knowledgeable and efficient. When considering United, verify whether installation is by United employees or a subcontractor.

They completed work quickly and cleaned up nicely.

Things went very well, very high level of customer service. The rep came by a couple of times, walked us through everything repeatedly, answered questions on email, just very good communication strength. And then when we were on the job, they had a - he and a separate person, the on-site person who continually kept us abreast of all situations, they actually had something they found during the process and they gave us all options, noted down the cost, so I couldn't ask for a better communication strength. That usually doesn't happen with a contractor. The outcome at the end, I'm very happy with. They talked us into a mid level option that was a little different than your typical siding, so apparently, they're the only ones that can do it, it's called everlast, they're the only ones that can do it in the city of Massachusetts because there's some kind of rating system, and it doesn't even look like siding and they put it on beautifully, fine print were read as they said they made them, it took us longer than expected and we had recommended them to two neighbors already and I know one on the corner already used them.

Disclaimer: I am not an employee or affiliated in any way with United Home Experts other than being a customer. I have a home that was built in 1992 with cedar siding with no Tyvek underneath. There was indication of rot at several places and I had a serious problem with woodpeckers that was ravaging the house and causing serious damage. I received several bids. After spending an year investigating the various siding options and talking to several contractors and companies, I decided to have United replace my existing wood siding with Everlast Composite siding and in the process replace trims around all the windows and doors.I chose United because they felt honest, upfront, not pushy, reasonably priced and most of all seemed to take pride in the work they have done in the past. My installation happened during the coldest time of the year and it was done in the most professional way possible. When the sales guy assured me Everlast can be installed during extreme weather conditions, I didn't quite believe him. But he proved me wrong, at various stages during the project when I inspected, I didn't find Everlast to crack or buckle. Every single employee of this company I have talked and worked with exhibit great business etiquette, is hard working, is detail oriented and most of all take pride in what they do. E.g even before the project started I was given check list of things that was well thought of which included things like cautioning me to remove pictures and mirrors from walls, so they don't drop and damage (a very minor thing that could be easily forgotten by the customer). In the last 12 years of being a home owner, there is only 1 other company that I can think of that comes even close to what United is. Every day after they were done, they would thoroughly clean up and neatly put away their tools. It was just amazing how quickly they got this done while still maintaining a high level of quality. At the end of the job, my siding looks awesome and I am very happy with the choice I have made with both Everlast and United. It feels like the people who run this operation have discovered the secret sauce to run a highly successful construction business while making it a win-win for themselves and their customer. In their own words(on their website click on the "How so" red button), United describe themselves quite well. They are a player who is in between the local one man shop contractor and the big box shop like Lowes and home depot. For me, at the end of the day it was about quality, a fair price and accountability. United met all those 3 things. I have become a huge fan and I will be happy to re-hire them and refer my friends to them in the future.

The workmanship on the window installation and siding was excellent, the painting was good. They cleaned up after they were done and were there every day until the work was complete. I have had multiple people in the neighborhood comment on how nice the hose looked when everything had been completed.

We had 3 companies come out to give estimates for the work, representing the major window brands. United Home was the only one to actually walk around the house and give an honest appraisal of the outside trim and what was and wasn't realistic (the other companies just said, "sure, we can do that"), ultimately saving us money and what would have been a subpar job based on our house's siding. They were also the best priced of the 3 companies we received estimates from. They were professional, on time and addressed the concerns we had the day of the work. One window arrived damaged but the claim to have it repaired was filed that day, so no concerns on this. They also came back to address a few small concerns that were noticed after they left (that were in addition to the one window that arrived damaged). It took a full day to do the work, which for 8 windows, I think was pretty quick.

I hired United Home Experts to do a few jobs around my home. I had a few doors that needed to get replaced, some exterior carpentry, roofing and painting. I have used them several times and they are always pleasant, professional and know what they are doing.

The sales person was knowledgeable about the product. The quote scope of work was a bit vague, which lead to a bit of confusion when the installation time came, however the installation crew had no problems with the understanding the scope of work as we clarified. They were able to start the job quickly, and it progressed well. The crew was hardworking. They were able to deal with most minor issues that cropped up without difficulty. We originally were planning on using blown insulation, but there was already some in the walls, so they adjusted to using insulating home wrap, and were able to incorporate this change into their original schedule. If anything could have been improved it would be a bit more attention to cleanup during the install. We discovered some carpenter ants and they dealt with the delay of waiting for the treatment by the exterminator. Additionally the crew was able to coordinate with another company who was needed to remove an old oil tank during the same week. There was a punch list of final things, and they had no problems completing the issues, even on the last day when we realized that a railing needed to be rebuilt. The ability of the crew to work around all of the unexpected things (insulation, ants, oil tank etc) was impressive. I would definitely recommend them for anyone interested in Everlast siding.

All went very well. Did the jon on time. Showed up when they said they would, Cleaned up as they went. Very pleased.

United Home Experts is a very good example of a completely professional organization. Their initial contact spelled out exactly what they would do, provided a well organized brochure with details of how they operate, and a complete set of answers to our questions. The painters were always on time and followed up on explaining the sequence of their work and answers to our questions. The painting included a prime coat and the finished coat. Not only was the painting done on time, but they returned to complete a few detailed touches we requested. What was impressive was the total cost which was significantly lower than the other two companies we spoke with and considered. In addition, they gave us a discount for being an Angies List member. I would recommend them highly.

I had a half a dozen bids from smaller and larger companies. They were the lowest bidder. They were very organized. Their contract was very detailed. They cleaned up after themselves. Their marketing business motto is the best I have seen in the industry. The gentleman I worked with was very knowledgeable and informative. He continued to follow up after the job was complete. They followed up about a month after to make sure that I was still satisfied.

The carpenters and painters were very professional and good communicators. Chris L was our project manager, and he stayed on top of the project every step of the way. Our house is a 1905 Dutch Colonial - it needed to be painted BADLY by the time we got around to getting the job done. The painters were very careful with their prep job, dealing appropriately with the lead paint, and cleaning up after themselves diligently every day. Our paint scheme was complicated, including 6 colors and lots of details. Chris and the painting team put a lot of effort into making sure they executed the plan according to spec. When we discovered that one detail was overlooked after the job was finished, we contacted Chris, and he was right on top of getting it addressed. The painters came back the next week and fixed the detail that had been overlooked. Everyone was very apologetic that a detail had been missed. Our neighbors have been stopping on the street to complement us on how great the paint job came out - it looks like a completely different house now. United Home Experts was not the cheapest bid - but the quality and professionalism was worth the extra cost.

They were extremely professional, they were on time and cleaned up well after themselves. They kept me informed during the process. They used a higher quality product on my home so the price was a little high.

I really enjoyed the sales rep and I thought their prices were fair. They offered a certain siding that was unique that other companies do not offer. They were responsive to my concerns and cleaned up well after themselves after the job. They were prompt and the job took about 2 days to complete with about 5 crew members. They did good work and I am very happy with the results.

Slight Confusion in Setting Up/Confirming Appointment for Free Estimate ============================================================ After scheduling a time for them to come over and provide a free estimate, I received a prompt email confirming the day and time. On the evening of the day before the estimate was to be done, I received an email from Mike reiterating the same day and time. I received another email right afterwards from a guy named Peter saying that he wanted to confirm with me that Mike and I were meeting an hour before what had been confirmed. That was a little confusing. But it was a quick fix, as I confirmed with Mike a time that worked for us both. Awkward Conversation Start ============================================================ Mike came promptly at the time we agreed on. But we started off the conversation with some awkwardness. I told him I was looking to do siding and gutters. For gutters, he said that the company does it but that I'd be better off asking a gutter company to install something and not his. Okay, I appreciate his honesty. After ruling out gutters, he then asked, did you also want to paint? I thought, if I didn't ask for a paint job, why would you ask me this other than to make more of a buck? I don't have paint peeling on my house either. Do They Just Want My Money? ============================================================ Part of the awkwardness is that my house doesn't need siding. Even other contractors who do siding said my house was in good shape and doesn't need siding. I was considering it because I wanted all the work on the house to be done before moving in. I bet Mike looked at my house and saw the same thing because he did for a second have an expression of confusion/thinking hard, and he said nothing because he could make some money off of me. Otherwise, there's little else his company can do for my house, and maybe that's why he asked if I wanted to paint it. When he left, I was very wary about using his services. He may be a nice guy, but maybe he needs more experience as a salesman. Has Trouble Leading Conversation ============================================================ He said his job was to help me figure out what I want. Even with siding, I've spoken with other contractors who talked about the range of materials and what makes a difference and what works and what doesn't. He's looking to me to direct his focus on what to talk about, rather than helping me to focus on a few and discuss what I may or may not like. I honestly felt like he threw his hands in the air when I didn't give him an exact product/siding to use, and cosmetics like the color of siding (which could've helped narrow the products available) didn't matter to me. I just wanted one that is durable and insulates. On the Bright Side ============================================================ I felt he was more knowledgeable about the materials being used as the conversation went on, but I didn't feel like he was an authority or expert on it overall. Maybe it was the poor first impression and all the awkwardness. If you were curious about the range, he estimated low 20K to low 40K to do the siding on a 2000 sq ft house. So while the company was very professional. Mike was on time and courteous. They would probably do what I ask and pay for, but would I be making the right decision and would they tell me? After our conversation, I had a sinking feeling that they would not work out. I didn't understand the feeling at the time, but in retrospect after speaking with other contractors, it was because I felt like they would take advantage of me being new to this arena.

We called United Home Experts to enquire about the cost of replacing the siding on our house. We received a prompt return call and a meeting was scheduled with Mike to evaluate the project. On the scheduled date and time, Mike arrived and spent a good deal of time answering all our questions and pointing out any problem areas. He was very personable, knowledgeable and professional--an all around nice person to work with. He stated he would provide a written estimate which he did promptly. The only reason we did not contract with United Home Experts to do the job is because we decided to use a type of siding that the company did not carry. In the future when the need arises, we will defintiely contact United Home Experts for an estimate.

It took 5 days. They removed fixtures & downspouts. They power washed the whole house, sanded & caulked where necessary. Not only did the paint job come out excellent, the cleanup was outstanding.

We had the pleasure to work with John on our proposal for a major roof replacement job. John came out twice to professionally inspect the current roof and thought about every single detail to be taken care of. The quote preparation could not have gone better, he is very responsive, proactive and pleasant in communication, and very knowledgable. We are convinced we would have been in great hands with him. It was a very close call between two companies.

Contractor's estimate was best of 3 and one small add on was covered without cost. A second add on of extra power washing was a fair added cost. Crew of 2, sometimes 3, was experienced, pleasant, careful, clean and easy to work with. PAINT - Paint color mixed by Sherwin Williams did not appear to us as a strong match to the color chip in SW's color selection book. All the paint had been bought and we eventually found it to be an acceptable alternative to our first choice. Consumer Reports in 2013 does give this "'Resilliance" form of SW paint a very good rating, but for about $8 a gallon more, the SW "Duration - Flat " product is rated Excellent and adds mildew resistance. For an added est. $80 for the paint, that would have been a useful option for United to offer us. Finished product looks excellent.

Was stood up the first time we scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Rescheduled, thinking the better of the company. I called to confirm the next appointment an hour before agreed upon time and was told I was not on the schedule and that their schedule was booked. No apologies given. Effort to make it right.

I found the company thru Angies List. I called for an appointment. The rep came and spent time explaining the roofing system used and some potential problems I may have. I was given a thorough written estimate. The rep was very professional. I didn't go with them because I thought the estimate was too high. Although I didn't use them for this job, I wouldn't rule out contacting them for estimates on future projects.

We began with an estimate--after a bit of back-and-forth, we agreed on a price and scope of work in February. When the weather was amenable to working outdoors, they began work on the exterior repair. They worked consistently every day (when the weather allowed), arriving at the same time every morning, and working until early evening. There was a project manager who met us the first day and visited the site periodically. There were a few areas that we asked to be done in addition to the original scope of the work, and the project manager gave us estimates, and we agreed to the extra costs. We always felt that he was very responsive, and the on-site foreman was also professional and responsive. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day, and once the repair work was done, another crew arrived to do painting. The prep work, priming, and painting took approximately two weeks, and they worked every day, including Saturdays (after consulting us). We are very pleased with the result.
