Jeff answered the phone right away and I described the problem. He offered to come by that evening on his way home, but I preferred the morning, so he said he'd be here at 7 or 7:15am. He said he'd take a look and if he could fix it then and there, great, but he may need to look at it and come back in the afternoon with the proper tools to fix it. Jeff came a little late, around 7:30am. That was his only strike and barely a strike. He came in with one of his workers and didn't waste a minute. He got straight to work and looked at the garbage disposal without wasting a minute. The disposal was fixed and tested (and consequently, the clogged sink was fixed) within 20-30 minutes. It was a simple fix so he taught my husband how to fix it the next time it happens so we could try to fix it ourselves before calling them, which I thought was really admirable. Jeff had a wonderful bedside manner, super friendly and professional. I don't know how reasonable the price is, but given the area (Cambridge), I think the price could have been higher. I read one of the comments that he came early enough so that you could be at work on time and not skip a beat, and I agree. I didn't need to ask for time off. Not even 24 hours passed between the time I called and the sink fixed, which is pretty incredible. I would definitely use them again.

He's very, very good. He is a responsive, good plumber. He's a nice guy. He comes on time and cleans up after himself. I'd recommend him.

If there were a better ranking than 'A', Jeff would get it. Not only does he have an excellent price and does spectacular work, he is such a nice guy that he was a joy to work with. I am completely remodeling a historic house and have dealt with many subcontractors. Jeff is one of the best. He was so nice to work with that he actually decreased the overall stress of the project. I called several plumbers and Jeff was the only one who would take the job. His price was so good - that there was no need to call anyone else. Jeff knows everything about plumbing and even helped me design my new bathrooms for free. When I picked out at a 400 pound cast iron tub - he and his assistant carried it upstairs at no cost. Jeff always answers his phone, is easy to schedule and very professional. I have recommended him several times. I will never hire a different plumber.

I could not be happier. Jeff gave estimates that in each case accounted for worst case scenarios, and in each case once the work began he was able to find a cheaper, best-case solution. I will happily use Jeff again, confident that if one day he tells me he's encountered a "worst case" scenario, he is telling the truth and that there will be no cheaper way to fix the problem. Sometimes a problem can be fixed right, and inexpensively -- and sometimes fixing a problem right costs money. I am confident that Jeff will always fix the problem "right", and that in doing so he will find the most economical fix possible.

The job went smoothly from start to finish. Jeff and his father Richie Ryan were very easy to work with and had the demo and tile workers lined up to get this job done in a timely manner. I wouldn't use another plumber after finding this company earlier in the year.

Overall it went reasonable well. The final job was fairly well done and the job was completed very promptly. The pros: - I received an estimate and had the work completed the next day - Richie Ryan (Father) cleaned up well after himself - Everything worked - Everything was well explained before the work was done - He starts very early in the morning so most jobs can be done in time to go to work! The cons: - Richie seemed a little over confident - he didn't measure the pipes for the bath job properly the first time and had to cut and resolder to get the pipes to fit flush against the wall - He is very chatty and I think this results in mistakes - Overall while everything works I think it could have just been 20% neater wit ha little more attention to detail.

I called them on a friday morning after getting their number from a member at my gym. I had no heat when I woke up and called ryan plumbing right away. They came out within the hour and we found that my boiler had cracked and needed to be replaced. Richard's son jeff called and had a new boiler at my house and installed by the end of the day. He called his electricain and he wired it that evening and my heat was back on around 5pm. The price was more than fair considering the temperature and how quickly The boiler was replaced. I wouldn't call any other plumber and I have gone through a few horrible plumbers to finnally have a reliable plumber who answered when I needed them
