+ -1 moreTibbetts Landscape, a local, family-owned business has been doing my mother-in -law's law maintenance for about 20 years. When our lawn maintenance guy disappeared, we hired Tibbetts. They're excellent. Very responsive, did a wonderful job planting some new hosta, edging and mulching.

All of the workers are kind and curtious. they alway ring my bell to let me know they have arrive (so my dog doesn't get out) Lawn looks awesome there is now grass clipping on the side walk. Super service so glad I made the change to Tibbets, Gary, Michelle are wonderful. Gary is knoweldge on flower and plants. They did all my bushes they look so wonderul. Give them a try you love them

+ -1 moreThis company is AWFUL at showing up. This is the 3rd year in a row that they have just been horrible at getting out to us to clear our driveway. The first year they just forgot about us completely. The second year they would come when there was a dusting and plow the driveway when it wasn't necassary and charge us $100. This year as of 1pm ( 24 hours well of when the storm ended) we are still all trapped in or out of the driveway. There are 12 cars that depend on them to show up so we can get out to work and for any emergencies. Our driveway is about 150ft long and there is space at the end to pile the snow. It doesn't seem that complicated. We have tried calling multiple times to no avail. They are clearly overbooked and shouldn't accept new customers. Do not use them for snow removal unless you have 2 extra days to spare waiting around. Tibbetts - We already did half of your job so you shouldn't charge us full price when you decide to finally show up. #thanksfornothing

+ 0 morePoorly. Several of my papers were blown off my chair by them. I spoke to them but they did not seem to understand English. They then put dirty adpapers that were not mine on top of my chair and a neighbor's DIRTY doormat ONTO MY CHAIR The claim by Gary Tibbett in his response that the other 50 units are happy with his work is completely bogus as most of them are not in the building or area when the blowers are noisily bothering whoever IS. The assistant manager personally told me that he does NOT like the blowers. If the management is so happy with Tibbett, why did they DIS-continue hiring him a few months ago? I am the only one who has consistently kept dirt and leaves out of the drain in my well, which I have swept every other day. Tibbetts usually did NOT actually clean most of the dirt or leaves out, since blowing is not a good way of getting dirt over a concrete wall. I will give them credit for stopping blowing my well but ONLY AFTER MY November 2012 review, which harshly criticized them. The last time they were here they finally used a broom to actually clean the well out and not get dirt all over the stuff on my chair in the well. As far as I know, that is the first time they used a broom and pan.
Description of Work: They are hired by the condo bldg. manager to do the yard and patios for the whole building. The money comes in part from my rent payments. I previously asked the owner NOT to have my patio "cleaned" using the loud blowers. I told them I would do it myself using a broom and have been doing so. After my first review on Angie's List 10 or more months ago, they seemed to abide by that. I was travelling and away from my apt. for about 3 and a half months, so I don't know what they did when i was away. Until today, I did not see them use blowers on my well (i am slightly below ground level) again. They also did NOT ever sweep the well--all leaves removed before today since my review were by me. Today, TWO of the workers, who spoke Spanish and do NOT appear to understand English, used blowers on my well. They blew off most of the papers I had on a chair. I told them to leave my papers alone and put a phone book on top of the remaining papers so that they would not blow off. They did not blow any more papers off, but moved the chair and then PUT a bunch of adpapers that were dirty as well as the next door neighbor's DIRTY DOORMAT ON TOP OF MY CHAIR . I did not see this because it happened in 2-3 minutes while i was back inside my apt. and had the shades closed to try to cut down the noise. So in the process of blowing out the leaves LOUDLY but NOT removing most of the dirt from the well, they also ADDED A BUNCH OF DIRT TO THE TOP OF MY CHAIR. Fortunately, next year a new Arlington ordinance making it illegal to use gas blowers from about August to November will go into effect. I have very little trust in the management of Tibbetts to respect the occupants of my building when it comes to patios.

Description of Work: Payment was made by the building manager. His funds come, in part, from my rent. This company uses blowers to clear yards and decks and wells. There is a well outside my door, a slightly below ground floor surrounded by a foot-and-half wall. For about the last year prior to today, Nov. 9'11, the workers "cleaned" the wells using extremely loud blowers that did not actually blow all the dirt, leaves, and wood chips out over the wall. But they did blow dirt, leaves and wood chips onto papers and magazines that I have under a weight on a chair in the well. I finally complained by phone to the Tibbetts receptionist on the morning of Nov. 7 about the use of blowers in the well. She took my complaint down and said the owner, Gary Tibbett, would call me back. He did not call me back as of the night of Nov. 9. On Nov. 8, a worker began using a blower on my well, blowing leaves and dirt onto my side and upending some of the magazines. I went out and stood in front of the worker, pushed the blower so that it faced up. He stopped. I told him that I didn't want him blowing on the stuff on my chair and told him twice that I would finish it. He started to leave, I thanked him, he smiled, and went on to the next well. I used a broom and dust pan and removed all of the dirt and leaves that had been blown onto my side. I'm not complaining primarily about the worker but about the owner, Tibbett.

+ -1 moreWe were very satisfied with them. They were clean and on time. It was a little bit of a hassle agreeing on a date to come, but when they came they were good. The owner was honest. Initially, I wanted a new turf on the lawn and the owner recommended that would not be a good idea. He could have made a lot of money and I respect him for that.
Description of Work: We had them do some soil grading away from the house. We were having some leaks in the basement. They removed a bunch of bushes and put in new dirt and grass seed in the front, which was small and the back, which is big. Total there is about a half an acre.

MY MOM IS IN AWE BECAUSE SHE NOW HAS GRASS IN AREAS THAT SHE NEVER WAS ABLE TO GROW GRASS BECAUSE OF THE SHADE. THESE GUYS ARE INSURED AND LEGITIMATE LANDSCAPERS SO I NEED NOT TO WORRY ABOUT SOMEONE GETTING HURT ON MY PROPERTY AND SUING ME.
