David Joyce is my contractor. He is a general contractor. I did see him listed on Angie's List way back when I did a posting on the services that I got when I built my house with him. I am working with him again now and he is fabulous. I think it is under Synergy Companies. He is an honest guy and charges fair prices. He does very high quality work. I definitely will use him again in the future.

I had a very good experience working with Synergy and have recommended them to friend and family in the past. The projects focus was to make a beautiful and super efficient home. Synergy achieved this with stunning results. Many people have commented on the homes beauty and the yearly cost to operate the home is under $1,000. We hired this company because they have done many DERs in Massachusetts and showed that they had a lot of experience. Although most of the principles and employees were nice we had some difficulty with a few of them which made the overal experience stressful and agonizing at times. At one point the roof was removed and before the new roof was put on, there was a hurricane and water got in. We made numerous calls before anyone called us back and no one came to help until days later. We had a similar problem with another roof leak. Even more frustrating, at the beginning of the project we were assured that they could make the National Grid Deadline (which was required in order tor receive a subsidy), but as the deadline approached they told us they were under no obligation to meet the deadline and we were forced to hire our architect to manage last minute details in order to meet the deadline, details that should have been handled by the contractor. Overall our experience with this company left a bad taste in our mouths. The workmanship was good, but treatment of clients is more important for overall happiness. We have heard that they have downsized the company in order to better serve customers, so that others do not need to experience the types of delays and lack of responsiveness that we experienced. This show a renewed interest in professionalism and we wish them well. We've given them a C rather than a D because we believe they could be a great company if they can fix some of the problems we experienced. Anyone that hires them will get a good product, we only regret that the team assigned to our house was not set firmly before the project began and that the eventual team on our house was not as professional as we had expected them to be.
