Description of Work: Ranch roof installed our roof two years ago. Last year, they installed heating coils on the north side of our roof, in the gutters and down the downspouts. Both jobs were performed very professionally with great results. They fixed some damage to the roof after the storm last fall. Any concerns we had were responded to immediately with excellent workmanship.

Description of Work: Performed a thorough inspection of the roof of my home and found no repair necessary. A different company had recommended patching at $2500 and a new roof at $16,000. I am very impressed with Ranch Roofing's inspectors honesty.

Description of Work: 1/16/12 - Bob Sullivan took over my leaking issue and was very conscientious and helpful. He was responsive, prompt and generous with his suggestions and time. He even called me back a day early to discuss how we wanted to move forward after he sent me a quote. 12/27/11 - They called back a week after I left a message and were dishonest about their availability. Once they found out I needed a leak fixed, they changed their story to say "all of their guys were busy." Prior in conversation they had said they could help and had left a message with me after I called, which was not true.

Description of Work: They came out and gave me an estimate. We have 7 skylights and John said they were installed improperly and needed to be replaced due to the age & installation. They would not guarantee the roof unless they were replaced. Out of 7 roofers, they were the only company to even mention this issue. Due to the rain in the fall, the job was delayed, but they patched the roof before Hurricane Irene. They came on a sunny Saturday at 7AM with 12 men and were finished by 7PM, immaculately clean, professional, and totally focused on my job. One skylight in the attic bedroom was unable to be replaced, due to it being improperly flashed, so they recommended we roof over it, and we did. Everything was great, my husband and I are very satisfied.

Description of Work: They were great about cleaning up the mess from the old shingles and from the work that they did. They came in underneath their original estimated price. This time all workers spoke English and were easy to talk with. Again the boss dropped by occasionally. We (and he) struggled with the water coming in around an old, unused chimney during North-east storms. Ranch Roofing finally removed the upper part of the chimney and roofed over the problem area, at very reasonable cost. All the little extras that kept popping up - like extra weathering of fascia strips were taken care of within the estimate. First class all 'round!

Description of Work: I called to have them come look at my roof and Bob said he would be back with an someone to fix it and try to diagnose the leak. He never called or came by so I called again left my information and never heard from him. I am a decorator and extremely customer focused. I am not going to chance someone who does not want my business. I recommend people to my customers all the time and can honestly say with the service I didn't get I would not recommend to others.

Description of Work: After waiting 3 days for someone to return my call, an extremely patronizing man insisted that I have my husband present in order to do the quote for the roof replacement, gutters and new trim. Welcome to 2010, where more women are employed than men, more women are graduating from college, but contractors think we are incapable of making rational decisions.

Description of Work: I called this company two weeks ago to ask for roof repairs to prevent recurring ice dams. Someone took down my name and number and said someone would get back to me. I called again last Friday and left a message again, asking them to call. As of the end of Monday, still no response. I had wanted to use this company because of the great reviews and because they are Arlington based and I live in Arlington. Now I've lost two weeks waiting and I'll have to start over again. It sounds from a previous review that they have trouble getting back to people.

Description of Work: Called to receive an estimate for repairing damage from an ice dam in my roof.

Description of Work: I needed to replace a skylight or possibly the whole roof. I asked for an estimate on both. Bob came out to look at the job, said he'd come back to look again. Never heard another word from him. No response to email or phone calls. The company was so highly rated here that it was very disappointing to be totally ignored. All they had to do was call or email to tell me they weren't interested.

Description of Work: This contractor responded very promptly to our request for a proposal and very quickly provided us with an estimate. We decided to ask another highly rated Angie's List contractor to do the work simply because of a lower bid.

Description of Work: I called Ranch Roofing while in the process of buying a home, as I needed help getting a ballpark understanding of what it might cost to replace the home's flat roof. They called back within 24 hours, listened carefully to my description of the house, and gave me a ballpark estimate, just as I asked. The estimate seemed very reasonable. I will definitely call them for a final estimate if we do the actual work.
