Description of Work: They did a great ob of cleaning the fall leaves from around my home. Arrived on time and performed the service. Use them from a special coupon proce on Angie's List. | |I will use them again next year for the same service and may expand to have them do some landscaping.

Description of Work: They wrapped one medium rhodo in burlap but the burlap blew off during the winter while we were away, and the buds were eaten off the plant by some animal, we think, squirrels.

Description of Work: great job--came by several times for 2 large properties for fall clean-up. Spotless and professional. plan to use them routinely for fall and spring clean-up. Best decision ever---saved me hours of leaf raking. Worth every penny.

Description of Work: They cleared the snow from my driveway and deck. When I came out in the morning, I cleaned the snow off my car and drove out of my driveway.

Description of Work: they did the spring clean-up of my large yard, including an area that I had let grow wild. I had to call to have them come back because they didn't complete the work in that area. Also I had asked for a call prior to their coming out - both for the estimate and the scheduling of the work and they did not call ahead either time. I would recommend them for any basic work but not if you want something outside of the usual.

Description of Work: I use John's Landscape. They did spring cleaning. They also come regularly to do the lawn. They clean up the branches and leaf removal.

Description of Work: There is nothing positive I can say about John's Landscape Service. The company's designer did not hold to our desired plan and when we pointed out that the project was done incorrectly, his designer and John said that they did exactly what we wanted. They were "glad to re-do" the project, but insisted that we were in the wrong, not them. Even upon re-doing the project, the design was not followed. This company was sleazy, dishonest, and evasive in their communication with us. We questioned their insistence on installing plants as late as November/December because we feared that the plants would not take or make it through the winter and were told that autumn was "the season" for planting. I have since read one of John's responses in an Angie's review, indicating that spring is the best time to plant because then you have the hardiest plants and the plants have the summer to set and get strong. So, which way is it, John? Since we live in Maine and the work was done in Cambridge, it is our strong belief that John felt they could do whatever they wanted and we wouldn't know because we weren't on the premises. We would have been present at the time the work was done, but there was no attempt on their part to coordinate our schedule with theirs. It seemed John was more concerned about getting his money than in having a satisfied customer. Since many plants were installed so late in the fall, it was difficult to identify the plants. We paid most of what was owed, but said the balance would be paid when we could do a walk-through in the spring to verify what was planted. As it turned out, colors of azaleas and types of lilies were totally different from the written plan. We believe John's Landscape used whatever plants they had leftover. So we now have colors that clash with each other. Further, there was a guarantee that if any plants died within the first year, they would be replaced at no charge. We have lost at least 5 rhododendron plants and John has point blank refused to replace them. Mahoney's, from whom the plants were supposedly purchased by John's Landscape, also has not agreed to replace the plants. John took us to court because he was unwilling to wait until we could do the walk-through to verify the identification of the plants. Again, another indication of his main focus being money as opposed to doing right by the customer. We noticed that court action seems to be a part of his modus operandi. Having seen a number of John's responses to negative reviews, he also has a habit of blaming the customer, because he is never at fault or in the wrong! |

Description of Work: We contacted John's Landscape to clear leaves from our property. They came at least twice to finish the job, were prompt, and efficient. It was kind of a rush job because the weather was turning bad, but we had been unable to take care of the yard as usual because of my father's death. We definitely appreciated their taking care of things so quickly.

Description of Work: Excavated backyard, layed drainage pipes, created mulch beds and sprayed hydro seed lawn. The team was professional and worked hard. I'm very pleased with the work they did.
